Texas de Brazil - Addison Ratings and Reviews
It was busy and the restaurant could not handle it. There was no parking in the lot and the valet turned us away (we had a reservation and should have left but my son really wanted to eat here : Fogo de Chao, which i prefer, was closed for remodeling). We were approx 10mins early for our reservation this we waiting in the tiny lobby which was as crowded as the parking lot. Despite our reservation, we had a long wait and diners without reservations were being seated ahead of us. I don’t understand why restaurants, take reservations when it appears it’s 1st come, 1st serve. Being a party of 2, we were crammed into a tiny corner table away from the main flow of service and therefore we were missed by the passadores. Our waiter worked hard and should be commended (I tipped him well), but overall it was a bad experience. Paid a lot for a little bit of food while crowded and uncomfortable following a long wait.
We love this restaurant and visit once a month. The salad bar is the best I have experienced and the meats are grilled to perfection. It's necessary to come hungry because there is such an abundance of food and decadent desserts. Everything is seasoned and places an angelic smile on my face.
Amazing food! Slightly steep price at $45 for unlimited food but every 6oz glass of soda is $3 each.. you can easily spend $9 just to drink soda through your meal which is a big irritation in my book. I still go though because the food is crazy good but stick to tap water only.
Early valentines day since we both work that day, food was great service was good, when we went to salad bar, another server straighten up out table like we had left, which we didn’t like, and its a little dark in there which makes it hard to see your food other then it was a great experience , parking is tight at this location, has to use valet (parked own vehicle) and tipped just to get a spot, had 445 reservation when left at 6ish started to get real busy so recommend go before then
The food was amazing as usual but I wish I would have gotten more. My party of 8 was seated in what I guess was a party area that was tucked off to the side. The meat carvers made a few early trips to our area and after that they came few and far in between. Even after the main waiter and a manager asked if we were waiting for anything inparticular, and we told them what we wanted. They still only came by once. This location usually is the best. But this visit was bad. I do not know if they had a bad day, or maybe since we were in the back and they ignored us. Or maybe as a company that is what you strive for now. Only give samples to the customer and ignore them later so they save money on meats. But all in all service was horrible. And that was the most difficult 25% tip I have ever left because from the meat carvers to the management over all sucked.
Great experience overall. Only complaint is we both came for my boyfriend's birthday for our first time to try Texas de Brazil. I am a nurse so I received a generous discount which I appreciate. Seems a little low to not give us a dessert or something for his birthday because I received my nurse discount. We still came and spent $140...a dessert or acknowledgement of his birthday would have made this a 5 star experience.
One of my favorite places in Addison. Always good food, service and beverages but was just outstanding this last time. It was my birthday and they comped me a fantastic wedge of cheesecake that compared to any I've had in LA or NYC. Their house wine "Texas de Brazil" is a fine wine at a moderate cost. I even have my favorite liquor store keep it in stock for me.
The cuts of beef were outstanding in taste and tenderness, and just the way I like them (medium rare) and for my boss (medium well). The lunch price for that quality of meat, for "all you can eat", cannot be matched for value. I made the mistake in the past of just driving to the downtown location. No more. It's to Addison we go from now on!
The food was absolutely delicious! I went for my boyfriend's birthday. The waiter however was overly busy due to us being stuck buy a little table on the side of the bar. People stood in front of our table while waiting for their table. This was our first time ever at this establishment. I would definitely return, but I would not want the same seat.
I went to Texas de Brazil for the first time this week for our anniversary and we had a WONDERFUL experience! The food is delicious, fresh, and with almost limitless options. Our waitress and the entire staff were attentive and helpful! We finished the meal off with probably the best piece of chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. I would highly, highly recommend this place!
We eat at all the Texas De Brazil’s all the time but this one this time wasn’t the greatest. They didn’t even have riped bananas for the cinnamon bananas and the food just wasn’t like normal and they only had one toilet for everyone to use. Our sangria was not like normal either but I do have to say the management and wait staff were great and he did take the sangria off for us.
We found the restaurant had been remodeled since our previous visit, and was nicely done. The salad bar was fresh and had numerous selections along with soups and other special offers. The meat offerings were hot and flavorful, and the choices were adequate. The sides were the usual and pretty much lackluster. The service was very attentive and friendly. Overall, a nice dining experience.
I love this restaurant . I come here often , but on this date for my spouses 2 year marriage anniversary the service was not great . My seat was filled with crumbs , our table was dirty . And the hostess had to remove jackets and purses from our table /chairs because the people next to us placed their belongings. The lamb was chewy , not as soft as usual . And our receipt was innacurately marked. Our waiter had to adjust .
I usually give this place a 5 . This time it deserves a 3 to be kind .
The food was prepared to eye appealing effect. The meats were cooked just right for me. Restaurant was cold inside, for me at least. Maybe just me, however, the somewhat noisy atmosphere limited my conversation with my wife, which I found a bit annoying. Service was great, as well as attention to detail. Overall, it was a good experience. When I spend over $100.00 for dinner for two, I would at least like a glass of merlot. Maybe next time
