The food and service was very nice. 👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️❤️
The rib eye was full of grisel. The filet mignon was tough and not as tasty as the price. The Malbec was a very nice wine and the desserts we're delicious.
The waitress seemed less and less friendly as the evening went on. The gentleman who inquired about our satisfaction with our dinner apparently didn't want to hear the answer we gave him. We were not compensated in any way and the waitress's disposition worsened.
No, we will never recommend this restaurant or visit again.
I treated my son and daughter in law to a birthday dinner. He was looking forward to having a good steak. The t-bone was small, had very little meat , and left my son hungry. He had to settle for bread. (The bread is great). Compared to the wonderful steaks my husband and I enjoyed in the past, this meal was a huge disappointment.
steaks were outstanding. Desserts were out of this world
the food was excellent and the wait staff superb . The prices are i range for the amount of food you get.The area where place is located is nice right near the lake.
Excellent food and best steak we’ve both ever had anywhere.
Brought my daughter for dinner and had a great time. Everyone was great, and Jonah was nice to stop by and say hello. Always a lovely experience here!
Excellent food and service. The free entree on my birthday was an extra treat.
W e introduced our friends to you wonderful establishment and they loved it..
We walked around the lake after dinner and it was beautiful at night.
The food was great and the inside has much to look at..
It was a hit..
Food and service was excellent. Will dine here again.
Ordered my steak med-well and it came out rare. How hard is it for a steak house to cook a steak as requested. And this is not the first time we have had this problem but will be the last because they have lost our business.
Food was not that good. First entree was over cooked and dry. Second entree was under cooked and full of fat. Very disappointing meal.
Overall our experience was not that good. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Food took a very long time to be served and then 2 of the steaks were literally charred black.. Our server was very nice and the manager did take care of the bill regarding the black steaks.
As always, fabulous food. Service was great. We introduced a couple that visits the area each winter. They remarked that "they will be back."
We were seated on time, even though the restaurant was very crowded. Our server was personable and very knowledgeable of the menu, offering suggestions and recommendations. The food was delicious and served hot. My only minor complaint was the time between servings. It may have been due to are party being large and the kitchen being overwhelmed. Over all, I would highly recommend and will be bringing guests soon.
While visiting Lakeland, we were told to try this restaurant. The dinner for two was recommended, which comes with a large steak two sides and two salads. We also ordered two appetizers and two kids meals. All the food was great with the exception of the large steak and the child’s skewer steak. Unfortunately the steaks were so chewy my daughter and myself couldn’t even chew them, and about 50% of the large steak my husband and I ordered was fat. What a disappointment for a steakhouse. Our bill was roughly $100 and not at
all worth it.
This was our first experience. We had (5)ppl in our party. We had atleast 4 different wait staff helping us out. We only had to ask for a refill one time. The appetizers were delicious (Cajun friend mushrooms and Saratoga chips w/bleu cheese and garlic). My husband (Birthday Boy) and I shared the dinner for two. My mom ordered the Fillet. My cousin and her husband ordered sirloin. We did get cheesecake for dessert and the staff sang Happy Birthday to my husband so that was nice. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to coming back.
The food was great as always however the service was absolutely awful. It appeared the restaurant was having issues all over the floor as we heard complaints among servers walking by our table while looking for managers. Servers were complaining about each other and about management not what I want to hear while I’m dining out. All that aside my waiter argued with me over the correct name of the Parmesan red onion aoli telling me “m’am it is called the ROT, no one will know what you’re talking about or asking for”. I’m confused, the menu says Parmesan red onion aoli but okay. I ordered a cocktail that never came. My husband asked for his tea refill multiple times and the waiter walked around holding menus looking confused, no drink refills. A different server brought our meals and our server showed up, the new one rudely asked ours if she was supposed to do the rest of his job and serve us too. My cocktail still hasn’t come. My husband finally got his tea refilled and requested A1 sauce. Again the server checked on us and never brought the sauce. My husband asked three times for A1 sauce and his steak was cold by the time it was brought out. My cocktail showed up with the ice melted, our server did apologize and blame it on the bar- they forgot to make my drink. He did void the charge for the watered down cocktail. In my 20 or so years of dining here I’ve never and I mean never experienced anything like this. We love Talk of the Town Restaurant Group preferring this location and hate to see this happening. There was disarray all over that evening.
The overall experience was good and the servers are usually very friendly and nice...this one not so much. But the food is excellent and desserts are amazing.
Wonderful food. Service was good. Restaurant was freezing cold. I don't recommend the dinner for two. You pay for the bone it's on, rather than the meat. Just get a different item. But their food is amazing.
Great steaks, service excellent .
The last 3 times I have been here, it has been sub-par. Always seated 15 minutes after my reservation time. I thought the point of a reservation was to be seated on time? Always having to ask for things instead of it being offered. Didn’t get the unlimited salad or bread like what was advertised. We are always told the kitchen is “understaffed.” The plant city daquiri tastes like straight syrup, had to send it back. The food is always good, but service and management needs A LOT of work. I expect a lot more for a $100 dinner for two.
We were a party of 4 celebrating a birthday.
My husband ordered the sirloin and the first one had a line of gristle throughout the whole steak.
The manager came over and said a new steak would be coming out soon. The second one was only somewhat better. He was only able to eat a small part of it. The rest of us enjoyed our meals. The salad is my favorite.
The birthday steak was the best we have had yet. At any restaurant. But, the salad was lacking. The lettuce was limp like the salad had been sitting there all day. Our waitress was fantastic!!!
The food wasn't worth the price that we paid. They only serve oil on their salads and our tomahawk steak was extremely fatty.
Food excellent and table service attentive.
Tasty meat. Well worth the trip. First time will be back!
This place has probably one of the best tasting steaks I've ever had, even better than Burn's. The atmosphere is very casual and the building is old and dark, but the food and service is great.
The steak was to die for. Didn't care to much for the salad or the rolls but everything else definitely made up for that. Our date night was a success.
Texas cattle company never ceases to amaze me. Great food every visit
I come here often, but I must say this was a magical night. Food, drinks and service were GREAT. Cody our server was awesome. I will be back. I don't always make reservations because I sit in bar area a lot of time.
My husband didn't eat for at least 36 hours before our reservation. He wanted to make sure he had room to eat as many different items from the menu as possible! He had an incredible, Pittsburgh rare Cowboy Rib Eye. We shared some escargot that melted in our mouths. We also shared some blue chips and if they had them waiting for us when we were seated it would not have been soon enough for me! I love the blue chips! I had twin pork chops and had to take one home because I was full on just one. We also took home a delicious piece of carrot cake and a piece of key lime pie. On the down side, my grilled asparagus was a slightly too smoky and the bottoms could have been trimmed to a more tender spot on each stalk. The salads, the baked potatoes were terrific. All in all, we had an amazing meal and service that could not be surpassed.
The food was not as good steak was over cooked. And my sons cheeseburger had a bone in it.
Great food and fantastic service.
The steak was very good....we had dang bang shrimp which was only slightly warm instead of hot like before. The restaurant was just too cold,,,,,very uncomportable. When asked for a bigger table or booth instead of the very small booth they tried to put us at (my husband needs something a little roomier)....the hostess was very hesitant to change our table. We will have to think twice about going back any time soon.
The food was decent, but not worth the prices they charge! I ordered a ‘Merica Burger and it tasted like meatloaf on a bun. I wouldnt choose to eat here again personally, but its not the worst place in town.
The steaks were very good— flavorful and tender aged beef. The salad was fresh, crisp and tasty. The bread was wonderful, but my request for butter was met with disdain and, when served, it came in an unappetizing “trough” and it tasted like Crisco. My daughter’s mashed potatoes were gummy and inedible. My baked potato was abundantly stuffed and delicious (no butter though after bread experience.) Hostess was efficient. Waiter not so much. Once the meal was underway, we waited nearly 20 minutes between our salad course and entree. This was too long in our opinion. Our waiter seemed annoyed when we asked if our entrees were almost ready. Service and food were uneven. But, what they do well was indeed very yummy.
Service was terrible and extremely slow....we had reservations for 6.. also to be asked again prior to being seated.. they bring us to a table with 5 settings .. we didn’t want to be cramped while eating.. so we were seated at a table for 6. We were seated at 6:30. Waiter comes gets drink order and asked if we would like appetizers, we order gator taiil. Few minutes go by then our drinks arrive. 15 minutes later our salads arrive and we have to asked if the gator is coming, he said they should have been out already. He then comes back with gator on lettuce that looked like it had been sitting out due to seeing the wilted lettuce. Fast forward 2 hours meadium rare steak was overly rare and outside crispy.. my 5 year chicken fingers were burnt they said they use same batter as gator tail. However gator was light brown and tenders were dark reddish brown and extra crispy.
Over the last 3-4 years my Texas cattle company experience has been hit or miss.. I will definitely miss it from now on.. not worth the discount for your birthday dinner
After half a dozen good experiences here, we had a very bad one this week. The place was mobbed, waiting time with Open Table reservation was 30 minutes, the waitress prepared us for the fact that they were plating 45 min after ordering and some patrons were yelling across the dining room when we got there. Our meal was very delayed and then was close to cold. We were afraid to let the plates go back to the kitchen for warming for fear that it would be another 45 minutes. Other patrons across from us were very angry at their experience and were trying to convince the owner that he should discount their meal. The body language of the staff reflected the frantic atmosphere inside the dining room. Our waitress, Kendall, did her very best to be positive and attend to us as she could but it was clear that it was a bad night all the way around. Good restaurants can have bad nights and, most likely, that is what happened. What prompted me to review negatively was the fact that they kept on bringing in hordes of new diners instead of addressing the needs of the diners already seating. The staff and kitchen simply could not keep up.
Kitchen was extremely slow.
