Oldwick is in the heart of the Hunterdon County horse country, and the Tewksbury Inn is at the center of this 18th-century historic district. The Inn is a former stagecoach stop where the 21st-century traveler can enjoy the traditional friendly tavern atmosphere with fine food that reflects wide ranging influences. In 2008 the Tewksbury Inn began opening on Mondays for the first time and those who join us have been in for a real treat: Our entire wine list at half price. Our exquisite food deserves pairing with an equally great wine and at this value, we think you will agree.

It’s been several years since we dined at Tewksbury and we were so pleased that it is the same as it has always been, superb!! Understated country elegance!

I visit Tewksbury Inn about every six weeks to dine with a friend. It is about 35 minutes from my home. I am never disappointed. It is worth the trip.

I love the petite filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wonderful meal on a cold winters day.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Was still an excellent experience even though it was Valentine’s Day. We are here pretty often and have never had a meal or experience that was disappointing. Excellent spot worth a drive.

Another wonderful dinner at the Tewksbury’s Inn. We did go on Valentine’s Day night but also go several times per year. Even on Valentine’s Day the restaurant was able to serve everyone in relaxed yet professional way. Roger and the other host seated us in the area we desired. Cathy our waitress was perfect in every way. Food was the best as always! Even our Gluten free dessert was to die for. Flourless chocolate cake.
Thanks to everyone at the Tewksbury’s for another satisfying Valentine’s Day dinner.

Tewksbury Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been coming here for many years, and the food is 100% consistently excellent. When I ask for a medium cooked filet mignon, that is exactly what I get. Pink evenly throughout. Their scallop dishes are always superb. At lunchtime, my favorite thing is their hamburger. I think it's the best in NJ.

Food and service at the Tewkesbury Inn is never disappointing. The boston bibb salad was fresh and paired perfectly with a glass of Pouilly Fuisse. The veal chop with mushroom/marsala reduction was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth tender. A side order of wasabi mashed potatoes paired perfectly with the grilled salmon entrée. The hardest part of the menu selection is not repeating because every entrée is worth trying once. Again the staff made us feel as welcome as family and the service and food is 5 star.

We came here on a Friday evening as a party of 5. We had a reservation, but arrived with a frequent diner who always sits in the bar area. I had specified the dining area via Open Table. After some confusion, we were sat in the dining room. Thank goodness as it got quite loud in the bar area. The drinks were well received. Two of us had the Boston Bibb salad to start, which is always delicious. The scallops entree was very good. Others enjoyed the special veal chop, the salmon, and bistro chicken. We were not disappointed. Service was very good. They ran out of full bottles of the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay to no one’s surprise, as it is always the case. Roger greeted us as he always does, making us feel at home - he is a treasure.

Very disappointed, had a reservation Saturday night 7 o'clock four people. When I gave my name at the front desk the girl was immediately told to seat us in the bar area which on a Saturday night is very busy and loud. I asked to be seated in the restaurant side but at this point the manager became extremely unfriendly did not even look at me told the hostess"to seat them at the big table.Being that it was only the four of us this made it extremely hard to talk to each other and having every waiter walk around us and nock in to one of us.The noise level was unbearable all in all a ver unpleasant experience.Used to love going to this restaurant but I will most definitely not return for a while!!!!!Too bed because the food is very good just the person who runs it is nasty.

My friend and I return again and again to share a delicious meal in a wonderful setting. The service is attentive, but we are never rushed.

Both my friend and I drive for about 35 minutes to get to the Inn...and it is definitely worth the trip.

We had late reservations for New Year's Eve. Both of our meals were delicioius and the meat cuts were very nice considering it was a restricted menu and we had a late seating.
Very pleased

I can't say enough about the amazing food and service at Tewkesbury Inn. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome and appreciated by the entire staff. Most restaurants rush you through dinner on New Year's Eve. At Tewkesbury Inn we had our table for as long as we wanted to stay. The orecchiette with wild mushrooms was extraordinary and paired beautifully with a glass of Bordeaux. Tewkesbury Inn is fast becoming my weekly "date night" restaurant.

We've been to the Tewksbury Inn a number of times over the years since not far from our house but we had not been there in a while. I have to say, after many years, they still manage to maintain the quality of what they produce. Our meal was excellent. My husband had ribeye and my lobster tail was delicious. It was New Year's Eve, so was busy, but they still sat us right away and service was good. The food is the star and I always enjoy the ambiance of an upscale historic building.
