Oldwick is in the heart of the Hunterdon County horse country, and the Tewksbury Inn is at the center of this 18th-century historic district. The Inn is a former stagecoach stop where the 21st-century traveler can enjoy the traditional friendly tavern atmosphere with fine food that reflects wide ranging influences. In 2008 the Tewksbury Inn began opening on Mondays for the first time and those who join us have been in for a real treat: Our entire wine list at half price. Our exquisite food deserves pairing with an equally great wine and at this value, we think you will agree.

Ate in bar area...usually louder there but ambience is best. Food always good, service is perfect...a great place to spend a cloudy Sunday afternoon

Good but not exceptional. Scallops were over cooked but the oysters were fresh and delicious. Salads were excellent with great dressings. French fries real not frozen. Salmon tender and firm, not mushy. Overall good meal Server was friendly and helpful reminding us that our tip was included on a party of 6 bill

A special of the day, fish and chips, best I ever had anywhere. Service was excellent. The best part of the meal though was the wonderful
key lime pie for dessert along with double expresso

Great food, reasonably priced. Service was very good. We loved the ambiance- though a bit loud for conversation. I would recommend to friends and family.

We went to the Tewksbury Inn for Easter and it was wonderful. I hadn't been there in a while but we enjoyed the drive (45 minutes from home), walked around the town, and had a wonderful Easter dinner. The service was wonderful, the meal simple but delicious, and I love the ambiance there!

Always great at the Tewksbury. Roger is fantastic and Dave at the bar is great! Bar side is much better than the dinning room side.

The Tewks is a local treasure. Never had a bad experience there in many years. You are treated as if you matter. I go to the bar area for a little more casual dining atmosphere. Outdoors is fine too on the right evening in season. Enough creative options on the menu to suit most people. Could probably use a few more vegetarian choices, but there's usually something worth trying. Enjoy!

Great place for casual or business lunches. Not too fancy, but the food and service are always good. Outdoor 3-season dining is very nice - looking forward to it again this year!

I love the Tewkesbury Inn and go there every couple of months to meet a friend, even though it is a 45 minute drive from my house. I have never been disappointed. The service was particularly nice this time--friendly and efficient.

Restaurant has a great atmosphere but food was just so so. Rabbit app that was on special didn’t wow and the pear salad also was just ok despite ingredients we really enjoy. Pineapple hangar steak was best thing we had and was cooked perfectly medium rare. We had a nice night out here but can’t rave about the food - good but not noteworthy.

Great for lunch and appreciate that they have gluten free bread but man do I miss my turkey and brie on the pecan bread...they have the best calamari ever and my wife is addicted to their chicken wings. Service is always spot on - one of the regular places we like to go to for lunch and dinner!

Lobster appetizer was very good. Risotto appetizer was a bit heavy for an appetizer. Soups were good. Main course Pork Chop was solid, but not the best I have ever had. Mashed sweet potatoes and baked apples for sides were stellar. Salmon main course was good, again not great. Scallops were oddly paired with a beefy oxtail sauce, which was a little off. All in all, a very nice dinner, but for the price I like some other options within a 30 mile radius.

This is a lovely inn, and the food has been fabulous all four times we have dined at Tewksbury Inn. The service has been inconsistent, and on this last visit there were very few customers and our waitress was nowhere to be found for most of our lunch. When I went to look for her, the bartender saw that I was looking for her and didn't ask if he could help me. He just turned and walked around the bar. We will dine here again in hopes that the service is better and more attention is paid to the customer.

I visit Tewksbury Inn about every six weeks to dine with a friend. It is about 35 minutes from my home. I am never disappointed. It is worth the trip.

I love the petite filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wonderful meal on a cold winters day.

Another wonderful dinner at the Tewksbury’s Inn. We did go on Valentine’s Day night but also go several times per year. Even on Valentine’s Day the restaurant was able to serve everyone in relaxed yet professional way. Roger and the other host seated us in the area we desired. Cathy our waitress was perfect in every way. Food was the best as always! Even our Gluten free dessert was to die for. Flourless chocolate cake.
Thanks to everyone at the Tewksbury’s for another satisfying Valentine’s Day dinner.

Tewksbury Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. I've been coming here for many years, and the food is 100% consistently excellent. When I ask for a medium cooked filet mignon, that is exactly what I get. Pink evenly throughout. Their scallop dishes are always superb. At lunchtime, my favorite thing is their hamburger. I think it's the best in NJ.

Food and service at the Tewkesbury Inn is never disappointing. The boston bibb salad was fresh and paired perfectly with a glass of Pouilly Fuisse. The veal chop with mushroom/marsala reduction was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth tender. A side order of wasabi mashed potatoes paired perfectly with the grilled salmon entrée. The hardest part of the menu selection is not repeating because every entrée is worth trying once. Again the staff made us feel as welcome as family and the service and food is 5 star.

We came here on a Friday evening as a party of 5. We had a reservation, but arrived with a frequent diner who always sits in the bar area. I had specified the dining area via Open Table. After some confusion, we were sat in the dining room. Thank goodness as it got quite loud in the bar area. The drinks were well received. Two of us had the Boston Bibb salad to start, which is always delicious. The scallops entree was very good. Others enjoyed the special veal chop, the salmon, and bistro chicken. We were not disappointed. Service was very good. They ran out of full bottles of the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay to no one’s surprise, as it is always the case. Roger greeted us as he always does, making us feel at home - he is a treasure.
