Tetsu - Aria Ratings and Reviews
Food was fantastic and the chefs great fun. Really fresh produce, very tasty.
Highly recommend doing the pre-fixed menu to try a few things.
Service could be improved. The wait staff could be a bit more relaxed and engaging.
Not much of an atmosphere in the restaurant itself until the chef is cooking in front of you.
Enjoyed the food very much but not somewhere I'd go again when there's so much else around.
Very different experience - excellent food. It was fun to watch the chef cook the food in front of us. Great service. Miguel was great - fun to talk with and he provided great suggestions and service. Wine list is impressive. The restaurant is pricey with small portions.
All food was extremely good, steak was amazing. Unfortunately extremely small portion especially for cost, very poor value. 6oz steak was the largest and would have needed 2 entrees for my husband even with sides and appetizers. We were in and out in 30 minutes, the experience was way too quick for fine dining. Our steak was ready well before our rice so we finished it all before the rice even came out. Great food but not worth it overall, they need to make some changes.
This was our second time visiting Tetsu and yet again the experience was wonderful. The whole theatre of the chef cooking your meal in front of you is a joy. The staff were all great and extremely pleasant. I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely return again.
Upscale entertaining dining experience. The tasting menu is to die for and fun. Chefs cooking for parties of 6 on Tetsu side of restaurant is very private (you get your own tappan table for 6). Great place to bring customers. Food is fresh and taste amazing! Benihannas has nothing on this place!
I have eaten at many teppan Japanese places. This was a complete disappointment. The food wasn't good, lacked flavor. $50 for a 4 oz. steak with no sides, everything a la carte. I was still hungry. Also ordered the chicken to share, which didn't even taste like chicken. When we sent told the waiter, he just took it away, said nothing. They never brought the white rice I ordered. We ordered Brussels sprouts, fingerling potatoes and fried rice, all very marginal lacking flavor. We left feeling very dissatisfied, still hungry and with $350 less in our pocket.
Chef is not professional, BENIHANA chefs ten times better than here.
Over cooked and so many order mistakes.
I wanted good quality foods and services, but price is 5 star and others less than 1 star.
It's OK if this restaurant is cheap. Don't go!
Tetsu is a relatively new addition to BarMasa in Las Vegas. We chose them from the wide assortment of upscale eateries in the Las Vegas Aria resort complex as a potentially good place to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary, and we were absolutely delighted with the choice! We've been to a plethora of Teppan restaurants over the years, and the "cook at the table" style of Japanese cuisine is a favorite of ours. Whatever you think about Teppan style, this place is about as far from your usual Benihana experience as eating at McDonalds compares with dinner at the Four Seasons. Everything was highest quality, expertly prepared and presented, and their take on some items (like fried rice) is absolutely unique and without equal. Keep in mind that this place is in one of the more expensive resorts on the Strip, so don't expect to eat cheaply, but if you are up for a very special night out and want something that isn't readily available in other Vegas casino complexes, then go to Tetsu - you will not be disappointed.
