Teton Pines Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I have been to Teton Pines several times over the years. Have had wonderful food with excellent presentations and always astounding service. I think Adam was our server. Cocktails are well done. Never noisy. Wonderful place to relax with friends and enjoy inventive, well-prepared food. Don't miss the freshly-made donuts for dessert! They are the best I have ever had in a restaurant.
Two couples from Phoenix for evening meal. Had reservation. We dressed up and most others dining were dressed nicely. We have eaten there a few times. Our guests first time. My friend is kind of a big timer at golf and golf places. He was impressed. We really like Teton Pines and will be going back because we are here for two months. Our friends are gone with their stories. Unless one only likes 5 star places this is great. Go and be happy!
The indoor and outdoor dining areas are beautiful. The lobster that I ordered was excellent and the asparagus spears were cooked to perfection. My wife had the tiger prawn tagliatelle was good but contained a little too much salt. Our waitress missed a couple of items but overall the service ws good.
Would have given at least one or two more stars but the night we were there, a party next to us was playing loud cell phone videos and was very annoying. We complained and server told us that it was policy to not allow but no one did anything. Food and service great.
We were disappointed that we were seated in the bar/lounge area - it was noisy and had TV's going all around. Plus the tables were very close together. We could see that the regular dining room was in use - we had thought we would be in there. No luck. Guess you have to be "special" to get seated in a pleasant, quiet area. The food was good, the service was speedy and friendly. The hostess (Tasha) was very nice and helpful, and got us seated quickly, even though we were 10 minutes early for our reservation. If we come back (doubtful) we will make reservations with a live person, by phone, and request dining room seating. And if that doesn't happen, we will leave and go to Steiglers, where we can be assured of a quiet dining room.
We were excited to come here it was well recommended. However it was a really frustrating experience. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. Ordered a medium rare steak which came out well done, when I said something to our server she told me that was their medium rare and I should have ordered it rare to have it cooked right. We were quite flabbergasted at her response. She tried to redeem it buy offering free dessert which was appreciated but correct orders were preferred. I've never had an experience like that before, we travel often and we're hoping for a nice evening.
There are lots of places with good food in Jackson, but none have the quiet ambience of The Pines. The new menu is very tasty, interesting and fun. The service is great. If you want great food AND a place quiet enough for conversation, by all means, go to The Pines.
On our first trip to Wyoming and after reading great reviews, we made a reservation for three to have a lunch here, since they aren't open for dinner yet. We had a late lunch a day after thanksgiving. The place was entirely empty in the afternoon. We ordered right away but the food took a while to arrive. Except for a cup of spiced pumpkin soup, which was hot and tasty; the rest of the food was subpar, no other way to describe it. The walleye tacos were either refried or overcooked, as the panko tasted overly dry and was deep fried to dark brown in color. The delicate flavor of the Walleye white fish was completely destroyed, and the entire plate/entrée felt like eating poorly cooked food in a fast food joint. What saved the tacos was the side of avocadoes my son ordered with his walleye tacos. But my side order of sweet potato fries were again overcooked/refried, dry and didn't have the dense sweet potato taste in it. So nothing saved my plate of walleye tacos. My husband's Balsamic chicken sandwich was also a bit dry but tasted ok. We wish they served more fresh organic greens in their lunch plates since the lunch was pricey. I guess they want you to order salads as well. We decided to order soup instead. The total price of just the food alone, before tax and gratuity was $70.00 for 3 sandwich plates and a soup. I was looking forward to enjoy a good meal here, I guess their dinner is popular, but usually Golf Country Club restaurants are either a swing or a miss. Since the golf season ended we couldn't enjoy the scenic beauty of the greens sitting near the window, however the ambiance inside was good. My two good stars for this review goes to "Amanda", our hostess and waitress who was very sweet and polite and tried her best to serve us well.
We always go to the Pines when we want a quiet dinner. It has an old-time club feel to it. Though I honestly, think the club would benefit from some redecoration. It's a bit dowdy looking with furniture that is dated. Bring back the fried chicken and the New England Clam Chowder - our favorites. What about some standard pasta dishes?
Sometimes we lose the good basics while trying to be more fancy. Just random thoughts!
We were in Jackson for a night during a brief stay to see Grand Teton National Park. We wanted a quiet place for a nice dinner and we really got exactly what we needed at Teton Pines Restaurant. A very nicely appointed restaurant, quiet setting with outstanding food. I had the Bouillabaisse with saffron broth which was delicious. My wife had the pappardelle pasta with chicken that she really liked. The signature dessert is coffee and donuts, which is coffee ice cream with two fresh made cinnamon sugar coated donuts...what an outstanding ending. We loved Teton Pines and will be back if we're ever in that neck of the woods again.
