About this restaurant

Tete Charcuterie fuses new American fare with classical French techniques, creating a stunning array of dishes that are as delicious as they are inventive, in its wood and brick-accented space. For starters, the Hamachi crudo with Asian pear and the roasted shishito peppers with fried garlic are excellent options. Tete Charcuterie has a wide variety of small plates with which to create your own meal. Some of the most popular selections include the dry aged bacon with black pepper and thyme, pistachio and coriander mortadella cheese, pork and chicken pâté, and the roasted delicata squash with quinoa and cranberry. Larger plate entrées, such as the hanger steak frites, rutabaga puree and the Arctic char with lentils and a pumpkin-red wine sauce, are ideal for heartier appetites. Enjoy your meal at Tete Charcuterie with one of the many craft beers available by the bottle or on tap.

Went her for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. We were looking forward to a nice meal out. However the meal was very expensive for what got. The quality was decent, but the price was crazy. Also the portions were tiny. In general, not worth it.

I had a whole world of different expectations for this place - I thought this would be nothing but pate and meats, and variations on that theme. Nope, this is a high end amazing restaurant. The chef's board to start is a great idea - some of the finest sausage I've had outside of France and Italy. But this is only the starter - it just gets way better. Chef has combined some unusual flavors that shouldn't work, but are glorious. You can go down the classic meat route, but then you'd miss out on some amazing dishes. The portions are moderate, so you can easily do multiple courses. Service was outstanding. I love collaborative service.

They had a prefix menu for Valentines weekend and this was not specified when I made my reservation. The waiter and the manager try to accommodate that my wife didn't really find the menu enticing and allowed her to order a la carte, however, she still did not enjoy her dinner and ask me never to bring her to the restaurant again and wanted a raincheck on Valentines dinner. Even though the portion were pretty small I enjoyed my meal and found it to have a good taste.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had all around. The food was amazing, the service was perfect, the place was fun and had a great atmosphere. Would come back here again and again.

We enjoyed our meal at TETE. All the food was excellent and the server was attentive yet not over bearing. We ordered two bottles of wine and loved each. We would definitely return after restaurant week.

We loved our dinner at TETE. The food was delicious and the cocktails and wjne list is well thought out. We ordered the restaurant week menu and opted for the beef cheeks and smoked trout as well as the dry aged hanger steak and sea bass. Loved em all. I couldn't help notice the previous comment about the small child and garden coming off the menu. We know the chefs and that is one of their children who was dining at the restaurant and visiting his father. The garden was removed from the menu since ITS WINTER and not at vegetables' peak season. Why would a restaurant keep an item on its menu that is out of season? It's guests like that review that give us other open table users a bad rap.

My friends and I went on a triple date ( party of 6) during restuarant week. We ended up being seated almost an hour late, however this was made up for with a free charcuterie plate and a couple free appetizers. The owner checked on our table himself several times personally and apologized for the delay. Test restaurant, great food, huge wine list, very friendly servers.

We ate here during restaurant week during which only the restaurant week menu and their charcuterie options were available. Everything we tried was good, most especially the steak and the caramel desert. The lighting was just right - a romantic Edison bulb glow. Unfortunately, the hostess had a cold demeanor from the very start, not at all welcoming. She also approached another couple who arrived well after us (and we had already been waiting over 30 minutes for our 8:15PM reservation) to offer them our table. They would have innocently accepted it if I had not been paying attention and stepped in. Patrons, especially those who made a reservation and have already been waiting for over thirty minutes past their reservation time, should not have to "fight" for the chance to enjoy a meal. Overall, good experience, but the host staff could be more welcoming and on their game.

Tete was great! I went with a good girlfriend for restaurant week. I'd never heard of the place, but she lives in the West Loop so she knows about all the new places on Randolph. The menu had a lot of choices, all of which worth the price in my opinion. The best part of my meal was the entree which included a sausage laid over some dry shrimp fried rice & a poached egg. You mix it all together and it's absolutely divine. It was a flavor mixture I've never had before and I really enjoyed it. Also, their Pinot Noir is fabulous! If you love savory flavors, this is the restaurant for you. We'll be back to try the charcuterie but were too full to get an order during our visit. Their service was slower than I would've expected but we chalked it up to restaurant week.
