Most important, the sushi was delicious. I was disappointed for two reasons: our waitress wasn’t as good as others that I’ve had there in the past, and I specified we were celebrating a birthday on the OpenTable app, but there was no acknowledgment by the restaurant or server.
Always a great experience at Teru!
this is our second time here - the happy hour is a really good deal! sushi is fresh and good!
The waitress we had was disappointing, but overall the dining experience was good. The fish was very good!
Just ok. The rolls we ordered were a bit bland...the lemon roll and twilight roll. The gyoza and bake crab hand roll were tasty. The spicy tuna over crispy rice were just ok. The waitstaff is nice and efficient, just not super thrilled about the food quality, especially for the price.
Amazing food, cozy seating, seriously of all the sushi in the valley you could grab (and as we know there are hundreds and hundreds of options) this is pretty high up there in flavor and quality
Cocktails did not have alcohol, ordered mackerel sashimi was cooked.
Have to come once a week to That sushi restaurant! The sushi is flavored and frash.
Food was pretty good, service was pretty bad.
We always go here for lunch and since I’m
Pregnant I decided to get the chicken teriyaki plate. Mistake. The chicken smelled and tasted like manure. I’m sorry that’s so rude. But it was the worst smell ever.
Service was not up to par. Only had one round of drinks since waitress never came back to ask if we wanted more.
The service was terrible, but food was great. They seemed very busy but from the hostess to waitress service lacked. The hostess was very rude and was giving unnecessary attitude. The waitresses was clearly very busy but forgot about us.. we would not see her at our table at shortest 20 mins.. food was not put in for order so over an hour to get one of our rolls. The look and feel of the restaurant was beautiful and again would definitely go back for the food.. but I would sit at the sushi bar...
I have been coming to Teru Sushi for decades and sadly, the quality of the food is slipping. There are so many other options in a two block radius, and after that last meal which left me with an upset stomach (the salmon was very bad), I’ll go to Katsu-ya.
Simple and satisfying~ delighted
After seeing this neighborhood restaurant on a popular "mind candy" show about a bunch of lulu housewives, I decided to take my lovely wife to check it out. Food and service were terrific. I don't give out too many 5's so this one get a strong 4.
The sushi was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the spicy salmon hand roll and the baked crab cut roll.
Was disappointed in the ambiance, food quality, and value. Several other options in the area for better quality and value.
Best sushi in LA. I don't care how much people brag about other spots. Sushi is always super fresh, delicate, melts in your mouth. Favorite rolls here are: salmon skin handroll, OMG, DA BOMB, CRUNCHY ROLL, and SPICY TUNA--insist on them wrapping with soy paper ON THE OUTSIDE. You will not be disappointed. Easy cheap valet parking and often can find street parking.
Are first waitress wasn’t very attentive, but without us saying anything I felt like management noticed and are first waitress wasn’t helping us anymore and things ran more smoothly
Dinner at Teru is excellent as always.
As solid choice. Great service, great food.
This restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for over 20 years. Food is always consistently good. Not great for a quiet date but if you’re looking for an energetic atmosphere and solid service along with authentic great tasting fresh food then this is the place.
It was amazing! The rolls were outstanding, especially the Blue Crab Handroll!
Every sushi roll was delicious. Always a dependable spot for non-traditional sushi.
People can say all they want their trendoid sushi place is best but this place has been best sushi in LA for years. My faves: OMG roll, DA BOMB, albacore sushi so delicate, California and salmon skin handrolls--scrumptious.
Our favorite restaurant for Sushi in the greater Los Angeles area. Our family drives the 405 from West Los Angeles to Studio City because the food is as good or better then the Westside and a better value!
Love Teru Sushi, outside patio is amazing!!!
Have been coming to this place for many years & it is worth the drive from Beverly Hills!
Sushi was good, but not outstanding. The actual layout of the restaurant is unusual and somewhat awkward. Try to get a table in the very back.
Our only critique was the time it took for us to get the bottle of wine we ordered. We were already on our second order of sushi when it arrived. We were told by our server that "he hasn't had time to go get it". You need a little fine tuning of your procedures. Sushi itself was just great as always. It's our favorite place for what we call "American sushi" - that is, sushi that's nothing like authentic Japanese sushi in that it has imaginative ingredients and preparations, but is SO delicious!
We've been going here for years. I love the food, the quality of fish is great. My only complaint is that over the years we've seen the price of the spicy tuna on rice cake go up and the portion smaller. And it's one of my most favorite items they have.
Itamae friendly. I sat at the bar to for the experience. Obviously several individuals were regulars and were greeted as old friends. Good definitely go back.
Great tastw to sushi. Servers can be a bit more friendly. Serve time was ok. They forgot one ofnour orders. Rushed and sushi was falling apart. No comp. just apologized.
Our favorite restaurant! Food is always excellent and consistent. The service is great. Our waitress, Koko always remembers our drink order and greets us at the table! The owner is there and takes great pride in the quality of the food and service! Sat outside for the first time. It was great.
Teru Sushi is always consistently GREAT. Love sitting at the sushi bar watching the chef's work. They use the freshest fish (no fake crab) and its delightful.
Good dependable sushi bar, friendly and accomplished staff making sushi.
Love their food and vibe!
Quiet nice back area, that I did not know about. Good sushi, always fresh. Service very good.
As always, we had a great time for my birthday at Teru; great service, delicious food!
Quality of fish wasn’t there. Place needs update
