Great food, great service in an excellent venue. What more can I say really loved the place.
I'd heard a lot of great things, but overall it wasn't quite what I expected. The sizes were tiny (I get it, it's tapas) and the food was tasty, but not for the hype I'd heard. It's worth going to but don't expect the best food of your life.
Long wait, but awesome food !!
The food was fantastic, drink were great (albeit pricey) and the service was very good. We went for a girls night and it was a perfect spot. Would absolutely recommend. Tom was a great waiter and we a fantastic meal.

Our last visit to Terlulia was a few years ago when the restaurant was only a few weeks old and it was a “new” concept of Spanish restaurant.
It was mediocre then and it’s mediocre now.
We had some tapas to start and if they hadn’t been so salty, they would have been tasteless, then we had the Paella, tasteless too. The wine was excellent and saved the night. Maybe we’ll try again in a few years.
Excellent food. The service wasn’t. The waiter made multiple mistakes, including giving us the wrong check & did not apologize.
Well placed twists on Spanish classics.
The food is not bad, but it loses the tradition of Spanish cuisine. We had the tortilla, the grilled octopus and the "paella de verduras": tortilla was not too good, overcooked and cold; octopus was really nice and the spicy sauce was definitely a plus; the paella was alright, a little bit overcooked and too dry: Spanish rice tends to be really rich in flavor and this wasn't.
Desserts were nice: in particular we enjoyed the vanilla and saffron ice cream.
A little bit overpriced for the quality of the cuisine.
This was my second visit there and we had a nice night. The menu is a bit confusing; I never know whether I have ordered enough food or too much. It was weird that one plate came out more than ten minutes after we had finished everything else. I thought for a while that the waitress had failed to order it. That being said, the food was very good, especially the cured meats and the cheeses. Our drinks were also good. The atmosphere is nice. It wasn't terribly crowded and we were able to have good conversation. There is outdoor dining. It was fun to share the plates of food. I will eat there again. The service we received during our previous visit was much better.

This place brings you back to Spain. The vibe/ambiance is great. Food was spectacular.
The gin tonic was awfull, the wine was really bad, I'm from chile and the quality of the overprice wine was really desapoiting. The food was Ok, last month I was in spain, and the tapas were so much better there. Overall is not outstanding . But not so bad

My three friends and I just came back from Barcelona and Seville, and were craving the wonderful food we had there. Tertulia fit the bill perfectly. We ordered 8 or 9 dishes and enjoyed them all. The staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. Recommended.
Can't think of a better lunch deal than Tertulia. Superb ingredients, well crafted in generous portions and a varied menu in the prix fixe menu should entice many. Can think of no reason why more are not taking advantage of its fine offerings.
The food was very delicious. We loved the restaurant atmosphere and the host was very gracious and accommodating. Our only problem came with the pace of our meal. We wanted to enjoy a leisurely dinner and asked our server specifically that our food come out slowly, which he assured us was Tertulia's style. (We ordered tapas and small plates. Will have to come back for the paella) The food came out so fast we barely had room on our table as more and more dishes kept piling up. I understand wanting to turn tables but on a Wednesday evening we were hoping to be able to enjoy our meal and instead felt rushed. We somehow ended up with a different server at the end of the night and she was very sweet. Ultimately I would definitely return, but probably not on a night when I wanted to chat and catch up with friends.
While the food was very good, the portion sizes were tiny for the price (even for tapas). Either reduce the price by half or double the portion size. It was a terrible value and we will not go back. I've taken it off our city menu list.

Fabulous meal, great service and location. Snail dish was delicious as was the chicken - wonderful Spanish flavours. Waiting staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
I was really looking forward to going to Tertulia after hearing lots of positive reviews; however I was definitely disappointed after my recent meal there. The ambiance is lovely and the servers are very nice, but the food was sub-par. The cheese plate is three very small pieces of cheese served with three tiny slices of raisin bread. I understand small portions of very expensive cheese, but these were standard Spanish cheeses. The patatas were burnt, and had a charred taste. And the tortilla espanola was made with A LOT of kale. Not authentic preparation, and did NOT taste good. Overall, this meal was very poor value for the money we spent.
Terrific tapas and larger plates served in a cheerful environment by cordial wait staff! Good food in a fun atmosphere!
This food is absolutely amazing. The service is wonderful and drinks refreshing. This restaurant is cozy and romantic at night. Also has a nice little patio to enjoy the sunshine and watch people walk by. It's on 6th ave. The food is always fresh always good. Made with care and thought. Everything is good you won't be disappointed
We went for lunch NY restaurant week. The pre fixe selection was outstanding . Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will be back !

my girlfriend and i went for nyc restaurant week and each course was better than the last. i highly recommend the octopus. it's perfectly prepared and cook. you won't be disappointed. we will definitely be coming back for sunday brunches.
One of the best meals of my life. Probably my new favorite restaurant. I travelled from DC and made reservations here for a special occasion. It did not disappoint. My only (incredibly minor) gripe was the noise. It was one of the loudest meals of my life, too.
Way too loud. Poor service. Way too expensive for what you get.
We notified them of a birthday celebration, no mention, no candle nothing, Hostess pleasant, bar tender, made it clear he would rather be elsewhere, no personality annoyed if the simplest of questions asked about special Drinks, waiter was I'll and should have been home, not sniffling and wiping his nose with his hand, also very disengaged. Not a recommendation nor a return visit. Food was Ok / good, not so good to overcome other flaws
Really loved the place but would recommend not having 6 or more people in your party. With 6 people you have to get the chefs menu and although the food we received was good, it's nice to be able to choose at a tapas restaurant.
Went for NY restaurant week-the menu was great. My husband and I both had the pan with Serrano jamon to start, and it was delicious. The bread was soft and fluffy with a great crunch on the outside, the salsa topping was fresh and delicate with the Serrano ham completing the dish to perfection. My husband had the octopus for his entree which was cooked perfectly, with a mojo sauce that one would want to lick the plate over. I had the single serve paella. I was disappointed that it was chicken paella instead of seafood, but not for long as the flavors harkened authentic Spanish cuisine, better and better with every bite. For dessert, my husband had the mousse which was rich and dark, yet light and properly portioned; and I had the grilled peaches with a pistachio topping, which were simply wonderful. The sangria was tart and tasty. The atmosphere was beautiful, like a Spanish wine cellar fashioned for a NY scene, yet casual enough to feel like you stumbled into it off a beautiful European small street. The service was great and kind. I would definitely return and recommend.
Went for restaurant week but ended up ordering off of the regular menu. Everything was delicious - especially the daily special gazpacho. Will be back!

THe jamon serrano and gazpacho were great. the tab rose is great but make sure it's cold. Mine was a tad warm so I opted for the special that evening.
Worst tapas I've ever had.
The tertulia is a refreshing approach to service at a restaurant. It is setup in such a way as to provide the ability to sample most of the food they prepare there. Plates are meant to be shared and a wide variety can be ordered so as to get a taste of everything offered at the restaurant. I also especially thought it was a great value, very reasonable priced, and the food was impeccable. Very cozy yet exciting and happening atmosphere. The server was very helpful in explaining how to get the most out the sampling of all the food there. Outstanding experience.
