My dining experience was ok, but not fantastic. My pizza was very dry. It had hardly any tomato sauce or cheese. My guests found their pizzas very dry as well.

I enjoyed my dinner at Fortino’s! The carpaccio was as good as I had expected and the pizza was amazing! The only thing I would comment on would be that it felt as though our server was trying to rush us through our meal.

I've been to this location of Terroni twice, in summer they have more seating and the best area is the rooftop patio. This time we had went and the waiter was amazing, which made up for the atmosphere. It was busy on a Wednesday night, and we made a reservation in advance, yet we had to sit almost right next to two business men. It's not their fault but maybe prioritize reservations with better table placements. We asked for a better table when we got there and she said "sorry this is the only one we have left." But we made a reservation? Also, we went with someone who has a SEVERE peanut allergy and wrote it in the comments of our reservation, and then the hostess told us to "just let our waiter know." I was like okay, but, that's why I wrote it in the reservation...

The steak I ordered was fatty, not able to eat part of it, asked them to hold the mushrooms, but they did not, asked for a coke no ice, waiter forgot, ordered again, with no ice, got it, but with ice!! Annoying...

Pasta (with the Italian spicy sausage and black truffle mushrooms) was fantastic and so was dessert (I forgot what it was called but it had butterscotch pudding, whipped cream, sugar cookie topped with a sprinkle of sea salt) . Service was great as well.

This restaurant pretends to be a cute local Italian restaurant when in actuality it is a corporate assembly line (think Eastside Marios). They have NO substitution because the food is all pre-made. Kids can not even request different noodles for simple bolognese even though they are on the menu elsewhere. Our food came to the table before we had a sip of our wine. This is not an exaggeration, I mean about 2 minutes after we ordered! No one had even said a word to each other. They were in such a rush to get us out that I felt like I was at McDonalds. With so many amazing restaurant choices walking distance both north and south of this place I have no idea why anyone would ever eat here? I will say that our reservation was for NYE, but were very early (5:15) for our (5:30) reservation, two adults and two kids (10+). The restaurant was half full at the time and our server had one other table. We also asked if we were being rushed so badly due to NYE but were told NO, this is how they always do it. If you are looking for bland food, indifferent service and a push you out the door experience, this is the place for you. If not walk north towards St. Clair or south towards Bloor and take your pick of some pretty great places that actually understand how to provide good food and good service.

Although asked here in this review and asked when booking, if this was a special occasion, in spite of noting that it was an anniversary, there was no acknowledgement of the reason for our visit.

My pasta was cooked "too" al dante. Second visit in a row where pasta is chewy, while some pieces were actually crunchy.
Also, while our waitress was great, she was quite pregnant. It didn't seem appropriate that she was carrying dishes and running around on her feet all night.

For a non Italian person ordering, I found the menu confusing to understand. Need better translation. Also, for Italian food, the menu items were rather expensive. Especially the cold cut meat appetizer which had three slices of mortadella, some procuitto and salami. Atmosphere was current and trendy. Not worth the $230 tab for four (Only booze ordered was a half litre of wine). Plenty of Italian restaurants of good quality offering better value.

Although what we ordered was quite acceptable, it was a chore to get there...no diet drinks, the owner doesn't like them, well I do, pizza was not portioned we asked for a wheel to cut it the owner does not like them, what? Quite pretentious for a mid range pasta bar

Love the food at Terroni’s, but is very noisy at peak hours, especially since a lot a families visit, with young children. The service is excellent and friendly, also knowledgeable about wine and giving good suggestions.

I love Terroni on Yonge except for one thing-- the NOISE level. It is really bad and could be helped with the help of a good interior designer and softening the surfaces. Luckily this time we were seated in the very back room which tends to be quieter. If I have to shout over my lunch or dinner, I'm not happy. The food is excellent although the kitchen is absolutely inflexible so don't ask them to modify anything.

The pizza was cold and hard.
They seem to have changed the recipe and it was also left under the heating light too long.
It took forever to get water and order.

Great location, and the pizza is always good, but the vegan options are lacklustre. It would be so great if you Terroni's could bring their veg pizzas to the same level as their animal-product pizzas.

Upstairs was awful.
TOO NOISY, too crowded, waiters would NOT accommodate any requests like having BUTTER as well as oil for our bread. The drink list was too limited and would not make any concessions for cocktails etc.
I love the food DOWNSTAIRS and the ambience is SO MUCH NICER.
I was told NEVER go upstairs to eat, now I know why. Just awful.
Couldn't even hear one another talk.

Fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you like Italian food, they even had a vegan option for pizza. Not the best place to bring older people who are set in their ways but we outnumbered them this time. It was a pleasant experience and I highly recommend it!

Had reservations for 5 for a birthday party. Arrived to find an older couple at the front desk and assumed they were waiting to be seated so waited behind them. After several minutes of waiting to be acknowledged by the two front hostesses I bypassed the couple and realized they were filing some sort of written complaint (a bad sign right from the gates). When I finally got the attention of the hostesses (who were simply busy talking to each other), one just looked at me and said "yes?"as in "what do you want?"
What do you think, I came to this restaurant with a party of five to ask for directions to the nearest gas station?!
After explaining I had a reservation she basically just pointed us in the direction of our table. No greeting, no welcome, no hello.
Our server was fine. Not particulalrly friendly, not rude. Just, fine. We ordered some appetizers, drinks, mains and desserts. My husband and I ordered the Friday special: a lobster spaghetti. The pasta was cooked perfectly but the sauce was nothing special (just tasted like canned tomato sauce) and the lobster was overcooked and mushy. The tiramisu was runny and weird. Almost as if the mascarpone had been watered down with cream. I used to really love Terroni's but this is my second lacklustre meal and experience there and I won't be returning.
