The restaurant was very "squishy" -- far too many tables crammed into the tiny space. However, the pasta I had was one of the best I've ever eaten, which was all that mattered to me in the end!
Recommend. Cozy place, well run. Friendly staff. Delicious Italian food. Great olive oil. Nice red wine selection.
Great pizza with a glass of wine for lunch, as well as central location with on street parking.
Way too noisy. It's fun to hear conversation and people talking and generally enjoying themselves. The MUSIC???...boom boom boom was ultra annoying. I would tell my friends, if you want to have a nice visit with conversation, don't go to Teroni's Queen. Why must you ruin a visit with this insane noise from the speakers?
Host seemed rather flustered but it was busy and he was the only one on. We booked a reservation but he sat a different group at our table by accident but quickly found us another spot. Our server was great, her food and wine knowledge was impressive. The food was ok nothing super memorable but the dessert was to die for....the caramel mousse was incredible.
This was the worst service and worst date I ever went on. I had said that I was going for my girlfriends birthday and I had to wait 15 min for my table when I had made reservations for 9pm. I asked for a domestic beer and was told that they didn't carry domestic. Then I asked for a vodka and 7up and was told they could only give me sparkling water. I had ordered the gnocchi and my meal was prepared in 5 min which I thought was wrong and sure enough I was right. My gnocchi came out and it was pretty much like eating mashed potato. In conclusion I will NEVER go back there again
Great food, very quick service! Will definitely come back again :)
I was looking forward to trying Terroni for the first time after all the rave reviews, however I was unfortunately quite disappointed. My pizza was fine but nothing special and the bread and oil were bland. I had specifically asked for a quieter table in my booking for the occasion and we were sat right in the middle by the entrance door and major traffic. It was way too noisy. The service felt very rushed and not attentive, like they were just trying to get us out ASAP.
Continues to be the most consistently good restaurant in Toronto.
The online reservation was easy and helpful in making sure we had time and number of people options and changing later if we had to.
It was a special birthday for me. And I was beyond elated to have friends there to share the event. Our server was friendly and took good care of us.
Oh, and the dessert. I'll be thinking of the dessert for many days.
Love terroni, delicious as always.
Reception was good, made us felt welcomed. Table attendant long faced from the very beginning.
Pizza was good, ravioli was cold and bland.
I’ve been many times and service is definitely not their strength. The server was very unfriendly and inattentive. Food is ok, but I think that the lack of a nice welcome has put me off for good.
The food was excellent as was the service, however our table was in the hallway to the washroom and I was hit many times by the customers.
That table near the washroom should not be used.
Very disappointed with table placement and noisy environment.
Great as usual despite the noise :)
Had the pizza there after many recommendations from friends. Food was fantastic. Service was a bit stand-offish but it's part of the ambience.
I guess my experience is impacted by the curse of being a famous place that Terroni is. It was my first time being there. I chose to have a special night out (on a Thursday evening, albeit on March Break) in Terroni after hearing strong recommendations about how good & authentic their pizza is. I have nothing bad to say about their pizza, it was good but didn't blow me away.
The place was packed and we had to wait a bit even with a reservation. We ended up getting a small table on the second floor, very close to other tables. I am familiar with such settings from low cost restaurants but it just didn't help making the night feel special. I am not saying that it was a fault of Terroni, they are busy because they are famous. Thus we went there in the first place. However, if I were to choose to have a special night/date at a place with great/authentic Italian style pizza, I would go Pieza Pizzeria at Niagara-on-the-Lake instead of venturing out (from Hamilton) to Toronto. My experience there was much more pleasant.
Great as always! Enjoyed a pizza and pasta and a delicious cocktail.
I have been to Terrone on several occasions and the food doesn’t disappoint what is disappointing is the portion sizes get smaller every time I go. I ordered the cheese and meat charcuterie board and in the past it had way more meat and cheese on it ... will not order again definitely not worth what we paid for it ! Pasta portions also getting very small! Too bad this was always my go to for Italian ... I will definitely look elsewhere .
Noisy noisy noisy noisy noisy noisy noisy noisy noisy a bit crowded
I am a senior with a small walker and arthritis. I was made to feel comfortable: the waitress, who was lovely, had my pizza sliced when I mentioned arthritis in my hands. There are a few steps to the washrooms which are manageable using the railings.
And...the Sofia pizza was great. Can't wait to go back. Kudos and thanks to our server.
Food was great, the server had a really slow start, but he kicked it up once we ordered, bringing the food promptly. Might not be his fault; he had a 9 table section according to the screen. Value for the food was good, but it was hard to find a wine that was within a good price range.
I liked everyone but found the customer service wasn’t the greatest with staff and our server. We didn’t find her very friendly and at one point I had to keep saying “excuse me” to get a spoon from a staff and kept getting ignored.
The food was amazing but the Nutella filled pastries were THE BEST!!!!!
Amazing food but music level way too high, especially for those of us with vocal impairments.
It was a lovely brunch experience! The food was super delicious and the service was great.
We were sat near the front door. Family of four and special request that it was my birthday. People were waiting in line literally watching us eat and in some cases standing literally over our table.
Portion portion sizes where small for Italian food.
For two adults and two kids, we spent $274 with tip. You think for that price we would have left with guys busting.
We shared 3 apps (expensive for what you got..portions small)
1/2 bottle of wine
This used to be a place we visit often in our 20s. Not sure we will be back.
I loved the food and the dessert. There is so much to choose from, all very great!
Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious!!!
We had a date night planned at a restaurant close to home. The food was good but my husband got the ricotta ravioli and was thrown off by the price to portion size. We ended the meal with dessert which wasn’t something we would crave to go back for. The service was excellent and our waitress was very friendly. We would definitely go back to try more items on the menu.
Gnocchi was luke warm. Couldn’t tell when the gnocchi ended and the sauce began as it was over cooked. Service was ok - not very attentive, which is fine, but if I have been pouring my half litre of wine (priced at $58) the whole time, the server need not bother pouring the last sip. Meal was overpriced for the quality and wine was as well. Don’t mind paying for it, if the quality is there. Much prefer Ardo on King St East - great service, comparable pricing, beautiful and thoughtful menu.
It was a great experience. The food and service were fantastic.
Food and service was very good. Only complaint would be that you don’t serve Caesars to drink off the menu.
i was in town from buffalo, new york for the day. i spent a long time trying to decide where to go for a late lunch that evening, when i found terroni i saw the reviews were very good so i decided to make a reservation and try it out. the seating was crammed, the host was very unprofessional and it was very loud in the restaurant. i was rushed to order by my server, who of which didn’t even introduce herself. i ordered the arancini and a panini with a glass of wine. the arancini came out fast but within 2 bites i realized there was a piece of hair in my food. i was disgusted. i told my server and she didn’t even apologize, but rather asked if the hair was “in or on top” of my food. after i said i was unsure, all i knew was there was a hair in my mouth that was clearly not mine, she told me they’d take the arancini off the bill. my panini was subpar, my server didn’t ask how my food was but did come over to ask if i needed it wrapped up, after only having a couple bites. i was very disappointed with my terroni experience and will not be returning.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience, I would return.
All 5 of our party were very happy with the food. Have been coming here for 20 years and it never disappoints. Friendly efficient service and hearty atmosphere. Music could be quieter and not so club oriented.
We had a Team Lunch there and we were surprised to see how busy it was. And while it was busy our server was amazing, he was attentive, and recommended a great bottle of wine, which we were sad to learn isn't available in Canada because we all loved the wine, it was a great recommendation!
While it is initially off-putting to be called with a reservation reminder that also includes “you can only have your table for a total of 1 hour and 45 mins” (who is languishing around for hours on a Monday night in February? Why are you assuming it’s me, who can eat a pasta dish in under 3 mins.??) I had forgotten just how awesome the wine selection and food at Terroni’s on Queen actually is. Friendly waiter, amazing wine recommendations and pasta and pizza that hit the stop. An oldie but still a goodie.
And yeah, we were in and out in 80 mins.
2nd time going to the Queen St. location and it never disappoints! Even during a snow storm, this place is busy.
One of our favourite restaurants for celebrating with our family. The team at Terroni looked after us completely as we celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary- Special thanks to Oliver
