I have been to Terroni many times and am usually impressed with the experience. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for this time. We found the portions have gotten much smaller yet the prices have remained the same. Two of the four of us were unimpressed with the meals saying they were bland and unenjoyable. We ordered the calamari as a starter and a handful of squid rings had been thrown on a plate in a newspaper type wrap with a slice of lemon on the side. The paper was bigger than the actual portion of food. Over all very disappointing. Will be on the hunt for a new iltalina restaurant.
The food is 👌
The place is great lovely staff , the food is really good , the price is fair . I enjoyed it very much . Definitely will comeback to that restaurant And recommend it to people I know.
Always recommend Terroni to everyone I know. Fab place
Wonderful place to celebrate any occasion or just a good classic Italian dinner!
Consistently out of the most popular dishes. The setting was extremely cramped & didn’t make us feel welcome
Bustling restaurant good food exceptional wines not available at LCBO solid menu
Always top shelf!
We had such an amazing time and the food was absolutely wonderful! Our server was top notch and extremely attentive to our table . At the end of our meal a gentleman came up to us to check on how things were and said goodnight and hopefully he would see us again ( assume he was the GM or owner ) everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves as well ! Unbelievable value and we will be back !!
Always delicious! Love love love the pasta!!
Bellisimo allways good at Terroni Queen Street best food great quality
Our appetizer and drinks were delicious, our service was fast and courteous, it's a busy loud moving place so if that's what you're looking for it's pretty great. Our pasta however was disappointingly bland - we ordered two very different dishes but they tasted basically the same, pasta was not al dente at all. Perhaps better to stick with the pizza.
Indifferent order taker -not a professional server. Could have been extraordinary
First time at Terroni on Queens St. It was a wonderful experience. Great food and service. The food came out very quickly which is surprising considering the full house they had.
Amazing food- always consistently delicious. Service is wonderful. We had to eat & be on our way to attend a show & the wait staff delivered. Fantastic experience...as always!
Love this place! It is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Great Italian food and very trendy.
It’s always great amd consistent. Love it since 1992! Cindy was great.
I will always go back to Terroni for the amazing, unbeatable food. The service we received however was below average. It is unfortunate because the food and drinks are so good, the service should match.
Everything was excellent! The service, wine recommendation and the food! The butternut squash ravioli was amazing!
Overall a very disappointing experience and not worth the hype. The service was awful, felt incredibly rushed and was asked to leave after 2 hours, even though prior to making the reservation I had asked if there was a time limit and was advised there was not.
The cheese platter ordered was incredibly over priced and awful. The cheese was both hard – not in the intentionally hard way but due to it being old and left out. The pizza was a decent size for the price – standard for Toronto restaurants.
The restaurant was loud and very cramped and I am really not sure why. There are so many higher quality Italian restaurants in the city – why Terroni has such a hype I do not know. I spoke to many friends and colleagues after the experience, where they advised me that they actually felt the same but didn’t want to go “against the grain” and say otherwise. A classic example of a restaurant that at one point may have been good, with a great value but is losing touch with what they once were due to popularity. Not interested in going back and will share my experience with others.
One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. Food is great, service is always A1. My only complaint is that it is a tad pricey, but then again, it is located on Queen West which is fully understandable. Also, compared to other similar restaurants in the neighborhood, it is on the more affordable spectrum.
Terroni on Queen Street West never disappoints. The staff are great and the food is consistently on point. I was there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. It's always packed which is a good sign.
It was good, food was good. Steps of service could have been better
Great dinner, great experience - overall a fantastic meal!
Absolutely love the food here
Best restaurant in Toronto
Great experience at the Queen street location...normally frequent the Summerhill spot. My only comment would be - you have a wonderfully obscure Italian wine list with tons of choices by the glass...but when we asked to tasted one of the whites (offered by the glass) we were told you ' don't do offer that service any more'??! Really? a small sampling of an Italian white that I had never heard of? I wouldn't consider asking for a taste of a wine that is only served by the bottle. It's a small gesture but goes a long way.
This restaurant was recommended to my partner and I, from our Airbnb host. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing and our waitress (I can’t remember her name) was extremely personable and friendly. I highly recommend Terroni to anyone looking for great Italian food!
Buona cucina e prodotti ‘realmente italiani’. Cena in famiglia con bimbi. Esperienza che ripeterei
Felt a bit rushed to leave
It was really good. I had the best lasagna ever !!
There was no chicken on the menu! No bruschetta either! I ordered oyster mushroom salad starter it was horrible I couldnt eat it I sent it back! I still tipped waitress $10, she was nice.
Waited 30 mins for a table. The manager did bring us a bottle of Prosecco to compensate. But, Terroni makes a big deal out of arriving on time and their policy around how long you can have the table for. We all hustled to get there only to wait.
I ordered the same dish that I have been ordering for 10 years. Unfortunately there were no truffles in the dish as advertised. Waitet for our server to come by and check after first bites but she never did. After speaking with the manager my meal was taken care of. But still, having looked forward to the meal for a few weeks, very disappointing.
I believe that Terroni needs to step it up. This was always a go-to spot for me, but I cannot ever imagine going back.
Enjoyable ambience and food was excellent
We have always loved coming to Terroni and it's been our go-to Italian restaurant whenever we have friends coming from out of the city. Our recent weekday dinner was lovely as usual, except our favourite truffle tonnarelli changed in the past few months and doesn't have as strong truffle taste anymore :( They used to use truffle oil and now only use shavings, which of course isn't a bad thing at all. Still delicious!
Tagliatelle bolognese always well done
Party next to us was massive and so loud we couldn't hear anything each other said for pretty much the entire meal. We asked to be moved in the first 5 minutes but were told it wasn't possible. Was really disappointing, as the purpose of the meal was to catch up with an old friend.
Have been to Terroni numerous times and usually happy with the service. However, our server did not provide enjoyable service this evening. She was pretty much rushing us through our meal. Even though we had tons of time before our 8pm deadline. It was not pleasant.
Our waitress was great, food was very good, only issue is that they only give you 90 minutes at the table, there was 3 of us, we had appetizers, dinner, cocktails and wine, time ran out and did not want to rush coffee and dessert as it was my birthday. Lucky for us there was 3 seats available at the bar and had dessert coffee and liquors there, but had it not been for the bar stools we would have missed out. I it should be 2 hours not 1, 1/2 but at least the warned us when we made reservations and again when we got there.
Great food. Terrific service. All in all, a wonderful and memorable family outing.
