Father's day dinner. Felt like the kitchen was overwhelmed. Food was not upto the usual quality of Terroni. It’s to be expected from any restaurant but was a distinctly mediocre showing on this occasion.
I just returned from Italy and this is real Italian food. One of my favourite Italian restaurants in Toronto. Run, don't walk!
Dinner at Terroni is always great. The service was great, food was really really good (as usual) and I would recommend Terroni to all Italian food loving people
excellent food just like the other terronis, ambience is a bit of a mish mash
Great food as you would expect from Terroni. Service was lacking this time around with the waiter seeming to forget about us numerous times. Service was slow and not super helpful. Food is amazing and had something for everyone at the table.
As always the food was amazing and reasonably priced. We have been here several times, but the last two visits we were served by the same server, Shannon. Unfortunately both times on our birthdays. She is incredibly rude and dry. We watched her scold another server for sitting us at a 6-8 table when we were just a group of 5, immediately after telling us it was “no problem at all”. When asked if she could bring out a dessert with a candle for the birthday girl she replied with “we dont give away free desserts”. Not once had we asked or expected this. When she reached over to place our meal down I reached over to grab the plate as the table was large and she immediately pulled back and said “I will do it”. She has a way of making you feel stupid even when asking about something on the menu as we do not speak Italian. The eyerolls are out of hand. We will definitely be back, just not in Shannons section.
Good time. Tasty food
Always consistent,always good!
The food was ok but not as flavourful as previous meals. The risotto was under cooked (seafood was fine in it)
Went to this place to dine solo, the waiter offer a meh spot in the corner by washrooms, which i asked to change to a better spot, which they were able accommodate (great), but it was overall a minus i had even to ask for a better spot - solo diners beware! Secondly the food: i went for a rather upper price point main course, portion of which was very small, i'm a rather skinny girl about 110 pounds and don't overeat normally but the size of the portion left even me hungry. Finally, was not happy to notice couples by my left and right sides being rushed out even with some leftover food still on their plates, they were mildly displeased but had to go. Overall i'd give it a 3 out 5 at best (washrooms were pristine, so i assume kitchen must be clean too, there were no nasty surprises with food too). But seriously, stop rushing people out to free up tables, a restaurant it's not a conveyor after all.
Thank you for making our daughters birthday such a delight for our party of ten! Food and service perfect!
One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Always really good pasta. Great for a quick lunch!
Pasta was under cooked. Wine was spoilt. Service was often but unattentive.
Food is always great, and one of my favourite patios in the city.
We were celebrating our son's wedding that weekend. They brought us there. Excellent food and drink!
This was my third visit, yes I will come again. First time making a reservation however not sure why. We waited and they took people in without a reservation ahead of us. I did mention to hostess and she offered the first table at the door. We would be seated by the line, we waited.
They were nice about a request I made. Very accomodating
food and patio amazing as always... service was lacking tonight...... our server had a large party so we were a bit neglected unfortunately and food took LONG to arrive
Great place to go with a close friend or two to catch up over delicious food and wine.
Our server didn’t seem interested in our table, we kept having to flag someone down anytime we wanted to order anything.
The food wasn’t as good as normal.
An off night for them for sure
Exciting, urban, filled with the sound of downtown urban lifestyles. Reminds me of NYC.
Great service. Our waitress was great with our little one, she brought him parchment paper to eat on so he wouldn’t drop his playe. Its the little extras in life...
The food was good, a bit on the small side for portions but good.
Outstanding meal with excellent service. Restaurant is fun but casual and boisterous. Great for families, friends but not a super choice if you’re looking to have a quiet time. Can’t wait to come back.
This was my third visit to the Queen St. location. It has gotten a little pricey but retains the interesting menu choices and extensive wine list. I very much looked forward to the seared tuna pasta special, but was disappointed to find the tuna overcooked and stirred into the spaghetti rather than thinly sliced on top. The service was adequate and my guests' pizzas were good but not spectacular.
Overall a little disappointed this time around
First time at Terroni's but definitely not the last. Food was delicious and service was great! Server recommended special if the day and it was divine
Took almost 90 minutes to get our mains and our special requests were not met - there were four of us dining. We ordered 5 entrees - one to go and only three were served to the table with two packed up
Excellent and fresh food!! Great pizza! Would highly recommend!
Disappointingly our first messed up order, the chef missed the Gorgonzola on my pizza! Yes, our server took the charge off the bill, but basically had bread and salad, at 9 PM, for dinner 😕
The service was great. You folks were very kind about our little one bouncing all over the restaurant. But I’m so sorry to say that the quality of the food has gone way downhill. I got a steak for $30+ and it was a pre chopped bunch of meat with really poorly cooked vegetables. I was so disappointed!
Good food but not generous. Bread is the only thing added on the house. Way too busy and loud. Couldn’t hear the talk at my own table. Waiters had to push past us as we were crowded onto the end of a row. 18% suggested tip is offered on the pay pad which you feel obligated to. Short meal window 1 hr 45 min makes u feel rushed.
Food was great.
Funghi Assoluti is a dish everyone has to try, no idea how they make such a simple dish taste SO delicious. Great bread, delicious olive oil, good wines... all the important elements of a great Italian dining experience. Recommend.
Service started well and then got interrupted. Server advised us that his large party arrived an hour early and apologized for the delay but assured us everything was under control. Not the case. Waited 30 minutes after entree to order dessert. Then had to flag the server down just to get a bill and leave as we never saw him after dessert arrived. Not good.
Terroni is fun and has great authentic Italian food. Recommended except for a quiet conversation place over a meal. Quiet it’s not!
Four friends had a lovely special dinner; two days later (tonight) I am taking my partner to enjoy Terroni -Queen. That says it all.
A friend was in town from Florida, and in the Queen West area, so I picked Terroni, as it's one of my favourite restaurants. I did warn him about their strict policies on substitutions, cheese, diet soda, etc. lol. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. He ended every sentence with a robotic "Not a problem!", but that's just me being nit-picky. We had appetizers of calamari and bread. The calamari was nice, light and salty, and not overly greasy. Our mains were the spinach ravioli made into interesting shape, and the pappardelle, which I always get. The pappardelle was delicious as always, but some of the noodles clumped together, like they had not been stirred to separate them while boiling. My friend enjoyed the spinach pasta, I think it was stuffed with ricotta? For dessert, I had the Nutella doughnuts and he had some ice cream. We also enjoyed 2 glasses of wine each throughout the dinner.
We arrived at the restaurant around 7, before our reservation, and they sat us no problem. It was busy and lively, but not packed. It was loud enough that we had to raise our voices, but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other. Tables were spaced well enough apart so we weren't privy to the next table's conversation.
In total, with tip, it came out to around $190. A little more than I was planning to spend, but, hey, good food, good service and a good time with a friend, I'd say it was worth it.
Food was great! The pizza tasted authentic. Thank you. Thank you.
Awesome as akways
First time here and the food and service was great! I’ll be back for sure
excellen food and service but second floor noise level unbearable and very hot. Felt like 80's
Downstairs would be my only choice in future
