A bit noisy, but all is good. Food was great, we tried the Pear, Walnut and Prosciutto Pizza and it is awesome. The pasta was ok nothing special(it's the one with Pig Face ragu), and we finished off with Tiramisu which was again awesome.

Always looking for an energetic restaurant in downtown toronto with great food. Thought we found one. Reservation made through Opentable. This was a get together with out of town friends. A first visit for all.
Our friends arrived first and were seated. When we arrived the hostess could not find our reservation. We were asked to stand aside. We waited and waited. Finally, I called our friends to see where they were - seated - they told us where they were!! Not a good start for us Terroni.
Our server was slow getting to us for our drink order - but, it was fine as we were catching up and in no hurry. We ordered wine, drinks, appetizers and dinner. The food was very good the only complaint being that one of the mains, a pasta dish, was luke warm and not piping hot. We all wanted to eat together so we did not send it back. We ordered dessert and as it came our server advised that we needed to vacate the seat in 10 minutes...they were having a big party coming in at 8. The pressure from the server continued. We were rushed and basically pushed out of our seats. We had to inhale the dessert and quickly finish our drinks. Meanwhile there were a lot of other empty tables??? We left and went elsewhere for after dinner drinks.
At no time during the reservation process were we advised of a time limit on our reservation - not on open table when reserving and no one from the restaurant called me to advise me. This would have been the fair thing to do as we would have reserved elsewhere. This really left us all in an awkward position and put a damper on the experience. Such a shame.

I want to like this restaurant more, but it consistently has issues that stop it from being great. They're clearly making money hand over fist, as getting a table on a Friday night is next to impossible, so it's unlikely they'll make any changes, but it's sad to see a restaurant with so much potential choose a few extra bucks instead of excellence.

The food has always been solid, however in this visit my seafood pasta contained two unopened mussels... That's a pretty major oversight from a food safety point of view.

There are simply too many tables, and too many patrons in the space available. Our table was four inches from another table of four drunk rowdy guys who were swearing and practically shouting. I was incredulous that the restaurant allowed them them to stay.

Our server made several errors with orders, and I noticed errors at the table next to us as well. All the servers seemed rushed, frustrated and grumpy.

Our water glasses were chipped and scratched. For a $200+ dinner, it's surprising to see something like this.

It's worth a visit to see what you think, but remember there are so many great restaurants in the city that we shouldn't have to settle.

Expensive pasta, like 30 dollars for a tiny bowl of gnocchi, my Nonna would wreck me if she knew what I paid for that much pasta. Decent taste, but nothing to write home about. The restaurant itself has great ambience. They need to figure out a way to lower the cost or make the portions MUCH larger, had to eat McDonald's after.

Food, service, and ambience are generally good. However, my friends and I were taken aback when the waiter dropped off our bill when we didn’t ask for it. It was a Thursday night at 21:45, we had just finished our main course, and we weren’t even asked if we wanted dessert.

Terroni is one of my favourite restaurants I have been to most of their locations in Toronto, but Adelaide is by far the best. The food is delicious! The staff are really friendly, and the vibe is perfect.

Got there at 6 and left at midnight. Food and wine was great as was my negroni. 5 of us ordered steak and found it flavorless. We ate the steak with lots of pepper, kosher salt and hot chili sauce. Would recommend again.

Service was brutal. We were put in the “private dining room”. Felt like we were neglected the whole evening. Wrong bottle of wine presented and had to go back and get the right you. Food was good as always. But it’s too bad they were clearly overwhelmed by volume.

Good is always good but price value relationship is a bit out of balance. Had the special Tortoloni which was delicious but 6 tortoloni's for $24 Was a bit much. 5oz pours of wine starting at $14 and going north from there is a bit greedy on their part as well.

My friend & I were celebrating meeting up after about 20 years & thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Terronis. The food was delicious . We shared the baked oyster mushrooms as a starter, then the OssoBucco . W finished up with your delicious profiterols & cappuccinos. Our waitress was friendly & helpful re our choices.
We were surprised to see, as we looked around, that we were about 40+ years older than most of the diners! It was a bit hard for us to carry on a conversation as the sound level was high but we enjoyed the atmosphere & ambiance
Thank you RG
This is probably more suitable as a private note to Terronis than a review! Please pass it on.

An Italianophile, I have been a Terroni fan for years, eating in the different restaurants every time I come to Toronto, every two months. The Adelaide place is the show-case, a great space. The downside is very high noise. Tables too close together. (No wi-fi.) Servers are usually charming - an Italiana, and a Spagnola this time. The food’s not as good as it was in my opinion. (A bruschetta with JAM?) Maybe I’m not choosing well. Since I’m writing, I must say that the next day at the Bettola place, the miale ragu was tasteless. The salt mill didn’t work. The servers, Canadain this time, were nice kids, but kind of detached, as if they were really too good for this sort of thing. I asked three times for a sweetener for my espresso. I know in the service industry getting good help is an issue, but the terroni family needs to sharpen up the service act and help the food to seem less mass-produced. The places all seem to be doing well but may be doing less with me, Alas.

 (Washington DC)·Dined on November 7, 2017

My partner enjoyed her main (tortelloni). My salmon was overcooked. The food was decent overall, but very reminiscent of what a chain restaurant churns out, and the meal did not seem worth the hefty bill at the end. I more took issue with a few others things, that if isolated may not have been a been a big deal, but taken together made for a poor dining experience. It was really noisy, which is fine in the right context, but when tables for two are a foot apart, it kind of kills the mood on a date or special occasion for 2. The servers were polite enough but I couldn't help but feel they were specifically trained to get people in and out rather than provide a pleasant dining experience. For example, they brought our mains while we were still eating our appetizers, and tried to take away my partner's salad before she gently let them know that we hadn't actually finished. I was almost impressed that they had us in and out in less than 50 minutes, but I was hoping for a more relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. I guess if you know what to order, have money to burn, have somewhere you need to be afterwards, and are only there for a casual/fun dinner with friends, it's a decent option.

Hadn’t been to Terroni for quite awhile. Always enjoyed dining there in the past.
Disappointed this time. The wine was overly priced. $37 and over for a half litre? $11 and over for a 5 ounce glass of wine? Very noisy. Hard to have a conversation. I ordered the Verde salad which I thought was suppose to have other things in it besides the greens and tomatoes.
Service was good.

Everything was great, just crowded - tables were super close to your neighbour! I was used to this when I lived in New York but Toronto restaurants usually give you a little more elbow room.

Booked a table for my in-laws, who were visiting from England, for their anniversary. They were very well looked after and raved about the service as well as the food.

My family and I always love going to Terroni, and it became a tradition really. Unfortunately the service that night was not up to par. Our waitress was rude and condescending, rolled her eyes at least twice, one of those times being when we asked if she could split our bill. She was cleraly not happy to be there, and made me and my family feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. I spoke to management about this which they were very apologetic and nice about it. I will definitely be going back because I know that was an anomaly, but I hope that this doesn't happen again to any other costumer.
