Terroni ADELAIDE Ratings and Reviews
We have our Christmas luncheon there every year and the only thing that we complain about time and again is the level in which the music is played. It is way too loud for this restaurant. Nicer, more calming music might be good for a luncheon?! I could not hear anyone at the table due to the music blaring!!!
Great food and service, huge and beautiful location. Was sat at a table on the very top floor overlooking the large space of the floor below. I found the echoing noise from the floor below to make conversation at my own table harder and likely because we were sitting up on the top level, it was too warm up there... It made me want to fall asleep rather than stay longer for more food and more conversation. I’m not sure if anything can be done to help circulate the air better.
A very disappointing experience. I had made this reservation for a colleagues going away party weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told we only had two hours. Not a great first impression. Then after we were seated our service was horrible. It felt like everything we asked for was a no. Great example, one person asked for a side of marinara sauce because the food was dry. He was told they don’t do condiments. To add insult to injury there was even a fly in one of our beers. And at exactly two hours the server asked us to leave. Would not recommend
Absolutely LOVE the food at Terroni but we were disappointed in the wine selection. The sommelier was not able to capture what we were looking for and even though we ordered 3 different wines all 3 were less than ideal. Yes, we were trying to order bottles under $100 but any restaurant should have better options for under $100!
Service was excellent, waiter was very knowledgeable. I ordered the Gagarelli Geppetto which was fantastic. My daughter ordered the Pasta al Limone, which ended up being better than mine. I'm definitely ordering that next time. I appreciated the fact that the waiter still treated us well even though we did not order alcohol (some wait staff tend to snub you if you don't drink). We were served quickly. Our food was hot and delicious. I love this place...
The food was great but the overall dining experience could have been better. The tables are way too close to each other so there is zero personal space if you are dining with just 2 people.
We also thought it was strange that they don't serve balsamic as a condiment but cook with it as an ingredient. Their reason is that the quality isn't up to par with the restaurant's quality standards, but I would disagree with them :)
My third time at this Terroni. We enjoyed fabulous Italian food which was authentically prepared. Our Gluten-free friends were well served by their own menu of options. The sommelier was very helpful. Ironically, they don't stock a pinot grigio but set us up with a Ribello which was good. Will definitely go again. It is not a quiet restaurant (hearing aids wearers beware).
I've been to his location 4 times and I was very disappointed. I was completely unimpressed that after making a reservation two weeks ago for 6 pm, we were walked to the top floor and they tried to walk us past many empty tables and seat us beside the bathroom!?! Why did I make a reservation? -Asked to sit elsewhere and was accommodated. (Shouldn't have had to ask!)Out for my sisters birthday, taking her to dinner and a concert, and I was embarrassed by the service. The pizza was cold. Pasta hot... they must have been waiting on the pasta. Not okay. $100 bill, not worth it.
We arrived early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate us (5PM on a Saturday). The food was delicious and arrived incredibly quickly. The bathrooms in the basement are small and the water smells like sulphur but overall great experience in a beautiful building.
My guests arrived earlier (about 15 mins) and were told they could have a drink at the bar until we arrived for our 10pm reservation, which they did. We arrived about 10 minutes late and were also told we could wait at the bar while our table was being prepared. We waited until about 10:30pm after nobody retrieving us from the bar we asked about our 10pm table which they acknowledged that they didn’t know we were at the bar and in fact had texted me due to a no show. I told them we were nobody came to the bar which they apologized and about 3 minutes later we were seated in a room where there were plenty of tables available. The wine was great, food was good, service was fantastic. Overall, a good experience but not over the top due to the reception area.
Food is delicious but I would have liked bigger portion sizes for the pasta (I had the duck confit ravioli and it was amazing). The only other issue was the noise level. I found it very loud due to the large volume of patrons in the restaurant. Service was very good and food was sent out very promptly.
I love the building, the atmosphere, the service - all great! What unfortunately was not great this time was the food - I think the quality has really gone down over the last few years because I remember it being very good before! I was there for a large friend's get together and we got a private room without asking for it, which was awesome. I wasn't very hungry and ordered their Ricchia salad - arugula, mushrooms, parmesan. Unfortunately, it tasted like someone squeezed a lemon onto these ingredients and then walked away. There was nothing to balance that biting hit of lemon. My boyfriend had their Spaghetti in Canna a Mare - seafood spaghetti, and was likewise very underwhelmed. Too bad though! Because it really is a beautiful and interesting space that I otherwise love.
Went to celebrate my birthday with a group of 8.
The not so good- I had reservations made for 8:15 and we weren’t seated until 8:45 (I usually wouldn’t mind so much, but my group and I had somewhere to be afterwards) 2) It was extremely busy and you felt it cause our waiter would take off quickly making us feel rushed 3) our waiter told us to split a bill 3 ways we’d have to be willing to wait 20 minutes from when we asked for the bill....huh?
The good- everyone really enjoyed the food! Most of my group were Italian and have a certain idea of what the food should taste like, and we were happy with our menu selections.
Overall I’d recommend Terroni for the food, but avoid a Saturday night if you’re looking to have quiet conversation and amazing service.
I loved the restaurant in of itself. The food was phonemonal it was very fresh and the food came quick as well! What I disliked extremely is that the server was dreadful and ruined our moods. She did not know how to smile, we asked if we could order appetizers first then entree later on and she said no the kitchen doesn't allow that but it was a birthday we came all the way from Windsor we wanted to enjoy our time and not rush our meal. We also ordered calamari and wanted sauce with it and she automatically said there is no sauce but we just wanted any type of sauce to dip with it it didn't specifically have to be for calamari she was not accommodating what so ever and it seemed like she was miserable and just wanted to rush us out of there. When we got our food she did not come up to us once we had to hunt down other waiters to ask for certain things or to get her for us. It was my birthday and the desert came out and nothing was added to it or made it special in any way! The service was awful and quite frankly I would never come back.
It was our first time to dine at Terroni on Adelaide. We were going to Massey Hall after dinner. We had a 5:45 reservation and when we arrived we were promptly seated. Service was excellent and the servers were able to answer any questions I had about the menu. Started with Verde, Caprese salads and shared a Li Pecuri pizza. Everything was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Terroni. Also I had the best Americano I’ve had in a while and the flourless chocolate cake was delicious.
