Loud atmosphere, which was alright. Service wasn’t the greatest but the food was amazing.
Food was excellent. Tables were a little tight. We asked for another table to give us a little more room.
Made a reservation 2 days in advance and requested any floor except the first floor. Arrived 10 min early & was told to wait until our time, no problem. Then was told the only table available was on the first floor and would have to wait over 30 min for another table on any other floor. Meanwhile when we were seated, we watched others get escorted upstairs to seat in upper levels. Considering we had a reservation, a table on upper levels should have been reserved for us. Hence, “reservation”. Not impressed.
Food was great, portions were sized well for multiple courses.
Very fun! We took my son and his friends to dinner. They loved it! The restaurant is pretty inside and it’s lively and fun.
I love the food at Terroni! The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the service. We actually got our wine and food at the same time and we didn’t get time to really enjoy the groups company and the experience of just sitting and talking at a restaurant. It seemed like we were being rushed in and rushed out.
Table selection was just terrible given the advance notice in the Open Table reservation request.
We were so fortunate to get private room for our family of 6 birthday celebration. That was special. Service was great and noise level quite low which is a huge bonus for any Toronto restaurant on Saturday night. Sadly, the food was just average at best. We all ordered different pasta dishes and for the most part thought the sauce for each was bland.
Amazing service and food as always!
The Service was wonderfully accommodating and fast, the food was authentic and amazing!
They don't have cream or balsamic vinegar and they won't cut your pizza. A bit too sheesh-sheeshie foo foo for me.
Food was terrific. Our server was kind and polite however super slow and not attentive. Had to ask several times for items and sometimes she’d disappear for 15-20 minutes
Went for my 40th birthday we had a nice big private room it was really delightful.
I have been to Terroni several times earlier, however this time the Spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil did not taste the same. The sauce was not properly cooked and so was tasting raw. The Margarita pizza however was awesome as always.
Was a birthday dinner for my party of 10. Even though I had a reservation and requested vegan menus we had to wait about 25-30 min for our table and when we were seated we were not offered the vegan menus. The food was excellent and the waitress was pretty good except she forgot to take drink orders from everyone at the table. So a few had to wait until the others received their drinks to put in their orders. Other than thAt it was a pleasant experience. Would have liked the wait to be shorter though as we were coming from out of town.
The service was mediocre.
The hostess put our group of 8 at a table for 6 and was RUDE!!!
The food was not good and came out at all separate times. I had finished my meal before others in my party received their food. Didn’t offer anything extra.
Such a lovely experience! Great food and atmosphere!
Thank you for the 5-star review NatalieG! We appreciate the kind words on the food and atmosphere :)
I booked a table for 8:15pm, however we were not seated until after 9pm! But when we were the food was incredible!!!
Hi Gillian, thank you for mentioning you enjoyed the food and service. We Sincerely apologize for the delay you experienced and will be sharing this with management to be review internally. We hope to see you back at Terroni in the near future
Great food, great vibe!!
Thank you for the 5-star review! We hope to see you back at Terroni soon :)
Food is amazing, acoustics are poor - very difficult to have a conversation
Hi Foodie, thank you for the 5-star review. Weekends tend to be quite busy and when we experience the most events and the largest parties resulting in a festive environment. Please consider one of our sister locations nearby, La Bettola di Terroni or Sud Forno on Temperance, for a more intimate dining experience.
We had a reservation and when we showed up they didn’t have a table for us. Took us 30 mins to finally be seated and when they found us a table it was ‘semi’ private which was really a table at the top of the stairs in a hallway not in the main restaurant. I was there with clients from Vancouver and they was no ambience in the hallway so asked for another table which took another 20 mins to be seated. Terrible experience, would not go back. What’s the point of making a reservation if they don’t even hold a table for you?
Best restaurant in the city hands down.
Excellent experience as always, a great spot to take clients.
Thank you ChrisS for your confidence and patronage in Terroni! We look forward to seeing you back soon
Food has more pretension than taste. Efficient service and comfortable seating in a very noisy environment. Certainly little value for money pricewise. Quite disappointed overall.
Hi JohnnyBuoy, the Terroni philosophies have remained the same over the past 27 years, quality and consistency being our top priority. Our prices are reflected in the high quality of ingredients that are used in every dish from the olive oil to the flour. We hope you consider returning to Terroni for your next authentic Italian dining experience.
(1) The truffle pasta was very salty. (2) The portion of the pasta with braised lamb was good for a 5 year-old kid - way too small, and there was probably about "5 grams of shredded" lamb in there. (3) Although there were a lot of empty tables of in the hugh dining hall on the 2nd floor upon our group's arrival (of 5 people) at 5:30 pm, we were denied a table in dining hall but were seated in a tighter and dark corner on the either side of the same floor. It was a disappointing dining experience.
Hi DomenicaLam, we were very disappointed to read this review. There is always a manager on duty to help with guest immediate needs and concerns and who can rectify any issues on the spot. For over 27 years we have focused on consistency and serving our guests with high quality ingredients to ensure an authentic and traditional Italian experience. We hope you consider returning to enjoy what majority of our guests do.
The food items we ordered were spectacular!! I was savouring every single minute I was eating my pasta. So yummy!!
Hi Eden, thank you for the 5-star review! We are happy to read you enjoyed the pasta so much! We look forward to your return in the future :)
The noise is extreme!
Hi Janicen, Terroni Adelaide is a multi-level location known for its festive environment. If you are looking for a more intimate experience please consider one of our sister locations. Thanks and have a nice day :)
This was my second time at the Adelaide location and I was a little let down. When we arrived, I told the hostess I had a reservation and she seemed to have an issue finding it in the system (I also recall her telling her colleague or boss that our table wasn't open). She was apologetic though, and it really wasn't a big issue, as they found a spot for us in the spacious upper floor. It's huge up there! Service in general was fine, though a little slow. When we got our food, it wasn't quite hot -- seemed liked it may have been sitting out for a while before they brought it to the table -- but it tasted fine. I've been to the other Terroni locations with no issues. Maybe it was just an off night. I'll probably stick to the Queen location thoug
Hi There, thank you for your review and patronage. We value all feedback and will be sharing this with our management team. Thank you for saying you will return to Terroni, we look forward to it.
Didn’t appreciate the service.
Just great! I loved the food and the ambiance is relaxed yet makes you feel like you came out somewhere lively and vibrant.
Hi AminaH, thank you for your great review! We really appreciate your kind words on food and ambiance. We hope to see you back at Terroni Adelaide soon :)
In a very cool building with a history. The restaurant is quite big and pretty loud. Not a bad noise though. Food is very good but higher priced. Service was also very good. Wine menu is good, but also expensive. I guess to be expected in a downtown restaurant. Overall, we all really enjoyed it and will go back.
Hi Marianne, our building use to be a former courthouse and was established in 1853 with lots of history to it. On your next visit check out the jail cells on the lower level, they're quite interesting to see! We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Have a nice Wednesday :)
Had heard about them, but not sure what the hype was about. For a $200 dinner, you can get much better value elsewhere. Food was excellent. Service was rushed (they served us two courses at the same time) and the music was so loud, we came out with a sore throat from having to shout at each other all night.
Hi there, thank you for commenting that the food was excellent. The Adelaide location is multilevel and known for hosting large events. On busy weekends, a full restaurant can result in quite a festive environment. Please consider La Bettola di Terroni or Sud Forno on Temperance (our sister restaurants) for a more intimate dining experience and just steps away from Terroni on Adelaide.
All in all, I did have a great time at Terroni Adelaide, I went to celebrate my 20th birthday and wanted it to be very special but we were seated in the lounge area right by the door and it wasn't a great spot. We felt cramped and I was definitely hoping for a more comfortable spot but I was told there were no other options. I am a host myself and at my restaurant, we try to make birthdays a great time in the hopes that our guests will return to celebrate other occasions which include giving them a great spot. Our pasta was slightly underdone (not al dente, quite hard and chewy) and one of my guests even had to send it back and get a new one that was cooked correctly. It tasted amazing and the dessert was superb (I adore the croissant with Nutella and whipped cream). I've been a fan of Terroni for years now but it wasn't the experience I expected and didn't represent what I love about Terroni. Our server wasn't bad but she did seem busy as we did have to ask someone else for black pepper and parm (seemed odd when she didn't offer) but shes was very sweet it just seemed that once we got our food we were forgotten about. I know I'll be back to Terroni because I love the food but they don't seem to do well with larger groups and didn't seem like they cared that it was a celebration or about our guest experience.
Hi Stella, thank you for your review and mentioning the pasta was replaced to your satisfaction. Due to Terroni on Adelaide being a multi-level location, we serve large parties on a daily basis with great success. We were disappointed to read that the service you had was not up to expectations. We will be sharing your comments with our management team and chef at Terroni Adelaide. We hope you consider returning to experience what majority of our large reservations do.
Food wasn't very good. Draft beer glass was too small. Did appreciate the vegan menu.
Hi Shane, thank you for your review. Our vegan menu has been very successful since we introduced it over two years ago. As an Italian restaurant we try our best to accommodate everybody's needs with a variety of options made available. We hope to grow and evolve this menu as time goes on.
Overall me and my friends were sarisfied except that the waiter started cleaning up the table while half of the guests are still earing their food.
I like the ambiance and food. Except for the "rush" buss out....
Hi GinaA, thank you for your feedback, we will be reviewing this internally with our management team in regards to steps to service with our bussing team. We hope you consider returning to Terroni and experience the service most of our guests do. Thanks and have a nice day :)
Delicious fish dish and gluten free options. Fun and warm atmosphere with a fireplace. Waiter read my mind with the tiramisu. Yum.
Hi Lucy, thank you for your positive review and appreciation for everything Terroni has to offer. We will be sharing your comment with our team and chef at Adelaide! We look forward to your return :)
Just amazing food. Great venue, great service. Not so noisy, but it’s part of the ambiance. You feel like you are having a big family dinner at your Italian friend’s family.
Thank you MarcF for acknowledging the experience we want share with all our guests who dine at Terroni! We appreciate the kind words and look forward to seeing you in the near future!
Very pleasant ambience, decent food, decent prices. Tiramisu was especially good! :)
Hi Nikita, thank you for your review! Tiramisu is one of our favourites too! Next time try our Torta Calda for some chocolatey goodness :)
We're happy you enjoyed! Hope to see you back soon
It could not have been more perfect! From booking our large group reservation with Liz (for my sister’s 40th), to the amazing service by Adam and staff, the delicious food (with a stellar vegan menu offering to boot), to delicious and beautiful cake - it was all soo good. Oh, and the fire! We were seated at a long table by a beautiful fire place. Thanks Terroni! We’ll be back.
Hi SarahH, thank you so much for this incredible review. We have worked very hard to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies offering both a gluten free and vegan menu! We will share your compliments with Adam, Liz and our management team! We look forward to your reutrn :)
