We chose the name Terre à Terre – translated as down to earth – for our food venture because we’re passionate about an authentic farm to table experience, which starts with fresh, local ingredients. So if you're looking for a unique dining experience featuring local, organic and sustainable foods, then we're worth the ride.

Just minutes from MetLife Stadium in Northern NJ, Terre à Terre is the Meadowland area's first Certified Green Restaurant® with green practices from our food to our overall operation. Enjoy a rustic interior, outdoor patio dining, and a farm-to-table experience that the New York Times calls one of the best...in New Jersey. NJ Monthly gives Terre à Terre 3.5 stars, noting its its farm-to-table ethos and the all-important stop the ingredients make enroute--in the kitchen.

It's a shame that this excellent restaurant is closing. I understand that family comes first and the restaurant business is very demanding. All our best to everyone who made dining at Terre-a terre so good.

This was our second time dining here and both times were a truly wonderful meal. This time we were lucky enough to have the Spring menu (they had just changed over), and everything was just perfect. All four of us loved our appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Everything here is delicious, be it the fish, pasta, or chicken. The space itself is gorgeous and the wait staff is accommodating and gracious.

Terre a Terre is simply a must try. For those of you stuck in the routine of going to Montclair or Ridgewood , Terre a Terre matches up with the best from either town. Unlike some restaurants that don't have a liquor license and have the need to jack up the food prices, the menu here is very reasonably priced. But most importantly, the presentation and taste are will worth it.

The experience was fine but there was a lack of correlation between the prices and servings. Prices were totally out of line for quantity presented and given location or ambiance of the restaurant. The $17 price on appetizers alone is outrageous. For example, the mushroom lasagna appe that was touted by the waitress as fabulous, was a joke in size, was hard to cut and was without any memorable taste or experience. We ordered 3 different appes and none stick on my mind at all. I was really, really looking forward to this meal, especially after reading so many great things about the restaurant. But unfortunately, I have NO yearn to return at all. 🙁
