Terrazza - The Ritz-Carlton, Naples Ratings and Reviews
What a bad experience. I used to go to Terraza years ago and enjoy great food. I remember an octopus prepared by Chef Anabella.../she came to our table and was so kind and what a great meal... I went back with same expectations and wjhat a disaster!!! Ver bad food..... poor quality....won't be back!
Terrazza at The Ritz Carlton- Naples made for a great dinner celebration. I have had brunch there on numerous occasions and was lucky enough to experience dinner there over the weekend. My girlfriends and I went for a relaxing dinner and had the best food and service throughout our entire vacation. Our waitresss, Jennifer, was such a pleasure and she made our night very special. The food was amazing and the drink selections were wonderful as well. From the appetizers to the fresh made pastas, grouper, and salted caramel martinis- everything was A+.
Overall, we had a great experience. I can appreciate the homemade pasta but unfortunately it was over cooked however the service more than made up for it. Glenn, our waiter, was fun, energetic and such a pleasure to be around. Also, the chef came out with hats for the kids which was so nice and thoughtful. We will be sure to come back soon! Thank you!
Recommended by a friend who raves about Terrazza. We were not disappointed. Menu was limited, but focused. We like that. Our choices were very flavorful, bountiful(we enjoyed the leftovers last night), and the Chianti recommended by our excellent server, Alex, made the overall experience wonderful. We will be back.
This was by far the worst dinner we have ever had in Naples! The menu on OpenTable was out of date and the selection was barely recognizable and the dishes we hoped to have were, of course, not available.
There is no ambiance in this restaurant so I highly recommend dining outside. The appetizers were overpriced and average at best. The shrimp and calamari wasn't even on par with some lower end chain restaurants we've been to and the Shrimp and oyster app at $18 consisted of two large shrimp and 2 small oysters that hadn't even been shucked properly accompanied by two sauces that didn't even seem appropriate for the dish.
The pasta dish we ordered was modified by the chef to include some crabmeat since we were hoping for a seafood pasta dish. It was the best part of the meal but was very low caliber considering this is the Ritz??
We ate at Dusk, the sushi restaurant, on another occasion and were underwhelmed by that expensive meal as well.
It's sad that a high end hotel would be offering such disappointing food options for their guests and visitors.
On the upside, the restaurant was nice enough to comp our apps after they verified our complaint about the menu discrepancies.
This was a very limited menu. The oddest thing was the calamari as a main course. It should have been served on a bed of lettuce instead of just in a bowl. The food was tasty but we didn't know it really is just a pool restaurant. Not the ambience we were looking for.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Seated right away. Quiet space. Lovely decor. Attentive server. Filets and Grouper were good choices. Food prices are moderate, in fact much better than expected for an upscale place. Drink prices are hefty-$18 for a vodka tonic. I had noted in my resv that 2 people in our party were celebrating birthdays. The server recognized the occasion and brought a large plate of three desserts on the house. Will definitely go back.
this place could be spectacular but always misses. we go back hoping. I had chicken Milanese. Why not stick to the classic? Excellent chicken, nice salad BUT on top of some weird potato puree. Just make the salad more significant and ditch the potatoes. The olive oil for the bread had a strange flavor infused. I asked for butter -- it was slightly off on its way to rancid. They were setting up a dining table near us -- no regard for our quiet
It was somewhat disappointing. The service was great, my steak was great but, the children's buffet should be tossed. There was next to no children in the restaurant with exception of my daughter. The fries were cold, the chicken fingers were dry and obviously had been there for a while. The pasta and sauce had baked into crusty pan shaped disaster, looked like something from a grade school cafeteria. Not Ritz quality. It was disappointing as this was my daughters first time to the Ritz and in her eyes, it was a special date with her dad at a very fancy place. frankly for a six-year-old to ask to go somewhere else, you just lost a lifetime guest.
We love the Ritz and will stay nowhere else when a Ritz is available. I have stayed in this Ritz in Naples and at the Naples golf resort location. Consistently outstanding restaurants . . . . with this exception. It was a Sunday evening, and maybe that was the problem with 2nd string cooks in the kitchen. I ordered the salmon. Fresh salmon is never fishy in smell or taste - this was. The waitress was somewhat hesitant to return it to the kitchen, but she did. The replacement came 15 minutes later, a cursory apology to us for the issue and nothing offered - it would be typical to offer a free desert, or maybe even to comp the entrée, but nothing in exchange for an ole fish. Very disappointing restaurant experience.
