One of my favorite restaurants. The wait staff - Giovanni, Adrian, Francisco, etc - are the best!
Dear DebraB, We are delighted you consider Terrazza one of your favorite restaurants! That is quite an honor. We will pass along your appreciation of our staff for sure. We look forward to having you dine with us again soon. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
Great views, very comfortable, extremely friendly not pretentious, solid food, somewhat expensive but reasonable for the amazing location
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you had a great dining experience with us. We hope you join us again soon for great food and great views. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
Everything was wonderful. The kale salad with salmon was recommended and it was beyond my expectations. The gluten free panna cotta was to die for!!
Dear Sakura, We are so happy to hear that you had a great dining experience with us. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another delicious meal. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
This is my go-to for breakfast and brunch! The decor and ambiance are a dream - green and plush! The service is always great, and the folks that work here are always friendly! Last, but not least - the food is always consistently delicious every single time!!!!! On top of that it's presented beautifully! :)
Dear LaurenR, Thanks for the great review. We are so happy to hear that you love our food and atmosphere. We hope to see you again soon and continue to provide you great service and delicious food. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
Tuscan Kale salad should be removed from the menu. Worst salad ever. Also, update your parking info...it is $9.50 to park , not $7. All in all, with so many wonderful chefs and food on offer in Los Angeles, this is not the place to go for cuisine. That said, there is no better view of the ocean!
Good food, beautiful views, and lovely staff. Sometimes service is a bit slow.
Dear KateT, Thanks for letting us know about your positive experience at our restaurant. We certainly want your experience to always be the best it can be and we welcome your constructive feedback. We hope you dine with us again soon. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
We were celebrating my friends 74th birthday, and she is still talking about the experience. We are planning to spend our anniversaries with our husbands there next month.

the restaurant Made it a very specific brunch for my husband ‘s bday. I hadn’t arranged a bday dessert but the server over heard us saying happy bday and surprised him with a birthday dessert with candle‼️
Dear theresac, Thank you for letting us know about your great experience at our restaurant! We love to hear that our server went above and beyond to help you celebrate a special occasion. We hope to welcome you back to dine with us soon. Sincerely, Danielle Buxbaum Marketing Coordinator
Great little ocean view eatery. Very good food, Very good service
Thanks for making the birthday special with the desert.
beautiful hotel and nice restaurant with view of the ocean. It is so pretty inside and the service was great. We had the roasted beets, fried artichokes, pasta, calamari and salad. All the food was delicious. I highly recommend
Excellent in every way.
It took quite a while to receive our food. Good thing I had great company and an amazing view of the beach! Will definitely be back and refer to family and friends.
Love the view and ambiance. Love the colors and building which has lots of character and personality.
The view is beautiful, but the menu is not reflective of Los Angeles. Not only was it not tasty, but not natural. There is no excuse for this. Prices are exhorbitant. When the meal is also poor why dine there. Valet parking is poorly run. It took one half hour to retrieve the car.
This restaurant is inside the Casa Del Mar hotel by the ocean. The ambience is great and the restaurant is beautiful. However, the service was subpar for a 5-star hotel, the food was not that good and not done correctly, and the value was quite poor - breakfast for 3 was over $130, with inadequate service and not so great food. I do not recommend this restaurant for breakfast.
The setting overlooking the beach is lovely. Our waiter was attentive and the service was very god. We were all disappointed in the quality of the food. The eggs I ordered came on a soggy English muffin with potatoes. If I had know there were potatoes, (not shown on the menu) I would have asked for a substitute.
Beautiful view. Great service. Very nice old building.
One of my favorites for lunch. Giovanni and crew are always welcoming and professional.
Beautiful restaurant with view. Ideal for brunch or lunch.
Service was poor; waiter didn't know what a champage cocktail was and kept asking if I wanted champagne or prosecco. Food took forever to come, more than 45 minutes. Couldn't flag the waiter down for the check. Food was meh (eggs benedict dry, eggs over-cooked, muffin tough). Guests from out of town wanted a nice lunch with ocean view. View was good but service, food quality, and timing were poor. And music was very awful (minus one star) in quality.
Waiters were wonderful. Large windows overlooking ocean. Not rushed - spent 3 hours at lunch enjoying the food, ambiance, view and kindly waiters. Food is always more expensive at a prime location but worth the full experience.
What a lovely place for a nice breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised about how wonderful the atmosphere, food, and service was here. It is pricey, but if you know that going in, you will totally enjoy the experience. Will definitely return.
We loved this place. Just thought it was a bit pricey. Nonetheless, we recommend it!
The service and food were excellent. Still, it was the seat by the window that overshadowed it all Lovely, lunch!
The menu was great with great tasting food. Service was excellent as well.
Setting is beautiful! Service was good at first, but then very lame. Filed my coffee cup 1/2 full and spilled it on table and saucer, but didn’t bother to wipe it up. Put candles in our dessert and one wouldn’t light so he pulled it out and the dessert fell apart and he just left it.
Great experience for Mother’s Day
The ambiance and food were beyond wonderful. You can’t beat the view. We came for Mother’s Day, based on an email solicitation. The email contained neither facts that is was prix fixe nor $110 per person. We might not have made this choice, we might have, but it was overpriced.
The restaurant was completely unprepared for the Mother’s Day patrons. Our order took more than hour to be brought to our table. When we mad our reservation they didn’t have the Mothers Day brunch menu posted on the website and made to mention of the prix fixe menu when they called to confirm our reservation which turned out to be $100 per person. We did speak to the manager about the late arrival of our food and they reduced our bill. Our server was very courteous and considerate. The view made up for the rest of it.
Beautiful view, great place for a special occasion. We were celebrating Mother’s Day. Service was okay, however it was somewhat busy during the time we were dining. Food was overall solid , however price and portion size was small ( which was expected). Overall, good experience. Would come back for a special occasion.
We had the worst service you could possibly imagine, and I simply cannot give better scores to this restaurant. Unacceptable. I wish I could have had my money back, or at least have had one dish comped, but they offered neither. I will not be going back here. There are plenty of other expensive seafood restaurants in the city.
Excellent place for a special occasion or a casual lunch/drink! I went here for my 40th birthday breakfast and it was a wonderful balance of casual and classy/special. Gorgeous island-esque ambiance, breezy, bright, comfy chairs, chill and of course that beautiful ocean view! It just felt really peaceful yet upbeat.
Prices are a bit high (cappuccino was $8, but delicious) but the food is really good and everyone was satisfied. There is a light and airy quality about this whole place and the set up of breakfast (toast in a basket, little jars of jam) add to that unique "fancy hotel" feeling which is really fun. I especially liked the Spanish omelette and pancakes! yum!
Service was efficient and friendly.
Wonderful ambiance, very poor service. 45 minutes from ordering to receiving 2 salads for lunch, and then we had to ask for them. We'll go back because it is so lovely a setting, but we'll be more insistent about our time frame to receive our meal.
Lovely location on the santa monica boardwalk, located in a historic hotel now called Casa Del Mar. Excellent service and ambiance and the food was delicious.
Birthday it was nice
Terrazza is lovely, but I don't think it is worth it for breakfast. The views are wonderful, the service is superb, but the breakfast lacks some creativity (for the price). Also, brewed coffee...unremarkable--no excuse for mediocre coffee in this day an age. While the food ok/good, I just didn't think it was worth it.
Lovely surroundings ok service good if unexceptional food
Excellent. What a beautiful place and great service too!
The ocean and beach views are everything you want in a beach side restaurant. The only service issue was the waiter not knowing the fish of the day and had to run to the kitchen. Then when asked about the kind of oysters, he had to return again to the kitchen. Yet, he was friendly, checked on us, and provided all we asked for. The prices are a bit on the high side - maybe not for Santa Monica and beachfront dining - especially the drinks. However, we had good food, great views, and a nice leisurely paced lunch where the noise level was low and we could carry on a conversation. Bottom line - we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience.
