Beautiful view of Santa Monica beach. Nice indoor restaurant when it’s a bit chilly outside with clear skies. Great food, Sunday brunch was the best.
Loved it. Spectacular place to eat with a even more spectacular view.
The service was terrific, always there but not intrusive. The food was 1st class. Love the pot of coffee left on the table.
Very relaxed service, but what's the hurry when the view is so gorgeous. We asked for a table with a great view, and although I made reservations just a day ahead, the restaurant accommodated us. Food is respectable as are the portions. We were not hurried; just right for a sunny Sunday afternoon! We'll be back.
I have dined at Terraza on several occasions and have enjoyed being there and the food was always very good. The service has never been great but this time - Monday 15, service as way too slow and the food was so-so.
We had no previous experience and were entertaining first time visitors to CA. It could not have been more perfect. The hotel itself, location, sea view, service and food were all amazing. Many thanks to all who made it a memorable occasion.
Ladies lunch for 2 on a Friday. Seated promptly, but needed to change tables a few times- as the sun streaming in makes the room so hot!
We loved the cavatelli with mushrooms and peas and the margharita pizza. Look forward to returning!
Nice spot with a beautiful overview of the sea. Brunch was high quality, but the desert was bad convenience stuff. Definetly not worth the 8$.
Service was good, all were kids friendly.
The staff was amazingly at helping us celebrate my fiancé’s birthday!
Fabulous to host out-town bus business execs. Setting is gorgeous and private. View and service spectacular!!!!
This is one of the sunniest, prettiest dining rooms in LA. East Coasters' jaws just drop when they walk in. Our hostess was lovely, and our waiter very friendly. The kitchen seemed to have trouble keeping up with the orders, though: the cheese in my open-faced fried egg sandwich was not rich and melty when it arrived, but stiff and cold. Bummer. The fruit bowl with mint syrup had a generous serving of fresh berries and melon and a sprig of mint. Not a hint of mint-infused syrup. (It did the last time I ordered it.) So the food wasn't amazing this time, which it should be, considering the prices-- but the view almost made up for it. My East Coast friend was very happy.
I was so disappointed! The location and ocean views are amazing but the service in the restaurant was horrible! The restaurant was not crowded but the waiters were just standing around talking to one another as if we were not even there.
We had to flag down our waiter to order a drink, Then flag him down again for water, and once more to order or food. It was on demand service, if we didn't ask we didn't get.
I must say that the other hotel staff was exceptional. The Valet was professional and very welcoming and helpful. Just such a shame that when we got inside to the restaurant that the wait staff was so disappointing. Maybe the valet team should train the waiters?
Staff understands customer service. Particularly impressed by Desiree, the hostess, who greeted us warmly. Our waiter, Alberto, was very attentive, courteous and accommodating. The setting was spectacular!
$100 (not including tip) for three for breakfast is excessive right? One granola, one eggs Benedict and one pancakes, two coffees and a tea.....right?
I had a great dining experience at Terrazza. The service was outstanding. Our server helped us navigate through the menu, and allowed us to substitute the meat to satisfy our vegetarian eater.
The food was well prepared. Our Server came back to asked if our food was prepared to our liking. I highly recommend Terrazza to anyone looking for a great dining experience with an awesome Pacific Ocean view.
One of my favorite eateries. Can't beat the location and ambiance. Feels like you are on vacation somewhere. Especially love the Sunday brunch.
It was our first time there and we really enjoyed the experience. Great ocean view, and excellent service.
We actually ate at Catch, adjacent to Terrazza, as we read that Wed Night was tapas night and we wanted a regular dinner. We had a terrific dinner at Catch with great service. My wine glass was huge! and well worth the $16 price as it was about the size of two wine glasses you usually get at restaurants. I ordered crab cakes and the entree was scallops in a fabulous sauce. The dinner could not have been better! Then we moved over to Terrazza to hear the flamenco guitar group and dessert which was also great, molten chocolate cake, and Kahlua for our after-dinner drinks. Great atmosphere, quiet, one of the few places I have been where you can hear yourself talk. We will go back soon.
I took my mother for brunch on Sunday, we usually go to Shutters and love it but decided to switch it up a bit... we should've stuck to what we knew.
Nothing terrible, just no vibe, older crowd, much older and no ambiance whatsoever...
Food decent but expected more for the place...
Wouldn't go back...
Our breakfast entrees and the ambiance alone makes this a special place, but it is the service that makes Terazzo exceptional. The service is impeccable. The gentlemen waitstaff are clearly career professionals and add an air of civility that is growing more rare in the US. What a wonderful experience!
First date. Flew to town. Hostess went above and beyond. A++++
Wow. My friend drove up from San Diego and we had lunch here it was 5 stars all around; from the valet to the service to the food, simply fantastic!!
The restaurant is beautiful and our food was good. A little pricey for what is served but I guess you pay for the atmosphere. Our waitress was terrible- gave us a little attitude. Other than that the hotel employees were really friendly and the guys at the valet.
Great ocean view but subpar service and food. Price range doesn't relate to the quality of the food and beverages. Too noisy. This place used to be comfy but it is not anymore. It is unjustifiable expensive. Definitely not a place to recommend.
Very good. Created a good environment for a productive and efective conversation.
Gorgeous place to eat and enjoy some conversation the scenery is beautiful. Especially during the sunset i recommend this place to take a date or friend.
My friend and I selected Terrazza for lunch during DineLA this past week. We chose the gazpacho to start followed by the Lobster Ravioli. Both were outstanding and the service was as well. Add to that a window table overlooking Santa Monica beach and it was a perfect lunch.
We love Casa del Mar lounge and restaurant in general. Adding the Tapas and live guitar music was just another reason to love this place! Food was good and affordable. We look forward to coming back soon!
Beautiful restaurant and service the way one hopes it will be!
Loved the ambiance here. Water views, but not water front. Decor was beautiful and food was tasty.
Fantastic location and true white-glove service. We brought or own bottle of wine to celebrate a birthday and they even waived the corkage fee so of course we left a generous tip. Highly recommend this place to anyone and especially on a weekend evening when they have live music.
This place isn't really a restaurant. It is an extension to the hotel bar at Casa Del Mar. The way it appears on OpenTable, it leads one to believe that this place is a real restaurant, but it is not. It is basically open seating, tables have no table settings, and they serve the same food that you order at the bar. There are two cocktail servers that cover the entire area. The food is fair, but this is not a "Spanish tapas style restaurant" that the description states. There is ZERO reason for this place to be on OpenTable because there is no need for reservations. Great place to stop in for a drink and quick snack, but nothing more.
Amazing view and location. Food was good. Service was great.
Great space. Worth the overpriced food & drink for the location & view.
The table was not clean. Slow service. I was not asked how I wanted to have my steak prepared. Appetizers and main dishes arrived cold. Fried artichokes had a dull taste and reminded me of cardboard. The salads appeared to come straight from a bag at the grocery store. For what we received, the food was more than over-priced. I will not return!
We took my mother here for her 80th birthday and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The setting is so beautiful and really made the occasion extra special. The staff was very kind to my mom and gave us our preferred table that we asked for - by the window. The food was really good and the portions were definitely shareable, we ordered bruschetta, pizza and the chopped beet salad - all YUM. The only slight disappointment was the berry cobbler which we all thought was a little blase.
Impeccable service and great food! It's a beautiful place for a special occasion.
Terrazza was perfect for our family's Father's Day brunch. Eight of us were comfortable and delighted by the beach/ocean view, the great food, and the friendly service. The room is bright, open and beautiful, in the grand Spanish Colonial tradition - great high windows and ceilings, tasteful updated decor, comfortable seating, etc. We loved our visit!
