People speaking loudly on their phones shouldn't be allowed. It makes the dining experience a nerve racking one instead of relaxing and enjoyable. I will recommend people this people but with a warning.
We went for an early breakfast on a Saturday morning. There were very few people seated outside on the patio. The spacing was good for Covid. The menu is expensive, a bagel and cream cheese is $12! You are paying for a beautiful view of the ocean, right on the boardwalk in Santa Monica. My husband had the Huevos rancheros. He said they were very tasty but the portion was small. That was $18. Next time, I will try Shutters on the Beach for breakfast. That’s next door and housed in the ‘sister’ hotel to the Casa Del Mar.
Food was ok. What you really get is the view and the great service. Drinks were spot on.
It was our first time and we enjoyed ir
My daughter and I Coast and Terrazza a lot, and last Monday we went to have lunch at Terazza expecting to have a nice relaxing time but unfortunately we didn't due to a woman FaceTiming loudly on her phone for the longest time.
Terazza is a wonderful spot and it would be really great if something can be done about this issue.

Great ambience by the sand. With heat lamps should be good for early breakfast and dinner after sunset. We were there at 1 pm on Easter, and I would like to know your regular non-holiday schedule.
Horgeous presentation of delicious items on the beach boardwalk. Our server was pretty hit-or-miss but the meal was great!
Easter brunch. Fabulous!
Sat there for 20 minutes without one server coming to take our order. Went up to the front and told them. Still, they didn’t bring the server out. Horrible service
Their lobster roll is made with crab — the server kept trying to contradict us — from the coffee, to the creamer, to the “lobster” crab roll. He was so disrespectful, and even asked me to look at him while he was trying to explain/contradict me... I mean, I’m was there to eat what I expected to eat, and not to argue with a waiter, and even less to look at him... he didn’t pay me to eat there, I pay to eat there and be serviced by people like him, so I couldn’t care less of what he has to say, nor am I interested to look at him while I’m hungry, angry, and disappointed — absolutely deceiving customer service 👎
Since this was our first time, we didn’t know what to expect? However next time, we shall request dining inside for a better overall experience. The noise level outside, and the multitud of transients walking down the boardwalk was a bit overwhelming for our tastes!!
Good job by the staff
One of the few good water front restaurants. Food and service are very good. It is on the beach!
Sunday Brunch with friends. A chill spot with great energy. A hidden gem within the CaSa Del Mar hotel. I loved that my party wasn’t all there but seated me right away. I didn’t feel rushed. I felt relaxed, service was amazing, our server was very attentive and food was good. I had the Dungeness Crab eggs Benedict & perfect pear cocktail. Not to mention, ambiance is beautiful!
First time! Food was great and filling
It’s on the beach, so that perk speaks for itself. The service and atmosphere felt stuffy. The restaurant is in an old, high end hotel, and it’s what you’d expect from an old, high end hotel’s restaurant. There are more inventive and modern restaurants in Santa Monica, so I’d skip this one unless the beachside view is your primary goal.
Fantastic patio and great food. It’s safe, book this if you want a fancy lunch/dinner seaside.
Beautiful hotel, great food, very friendly staff
Great experience! From Ohio this is a beautiful beach front breakfast
We had terrific burgers, vintage cocktails and a Caesar salad. It was busy so service slower but great atmosphere and nice staff!
Beautiful restaurant and Hotel
Pricey dining and pricey parking.
Outdoors on the terrace was very pleasant! The view of the ocean across the beach promenade and bike path is wonderful. It is the rare beachfront restaurant that has both great food and a great view. (A bit pricey, but worth it if this is a combo you are looking for.)
Very good food served in a nearly perfect Santa Monica setting. The preparations featured locally sourced ingredients that spoke for the freshness of the food and creativity of the kitchen.
Beautiful outdoor patio along the beach. Prices are what you'd expect from a hotel like this. But happy hour deals make it worth it!
Great place for lunch and a drink. Love the ocean views
AMAZING new outdoor area was erected recently for COVID. They keep reinventing their outdoor space and there are very few places in SM where you can dine and watch the sunset.
Classy ambiance - right on the beach and good sun coverage with umbrellas. Menu was limited and zero substitutions - even something simple like adding an extra egg to the 2-eggs any way option. Servers seemed stressed and overworked. I ordered water and coffee to start and they brought coffee (which was good) but no water. Had to ask 2 times. I ordered bacon and my meal came out with ham so they had to take it back and then it took a long time for them to come back with my food. Overall a nice afternoon though. I still would recommend - just maybe not for Sunday brunch.
We went for brunch. Oysters and mussels (with grilled bread) were great. Egg white omelet sounded great but had little flavor. Eggs benedict was decent, but for $26 I expected more. The real problem was that the food took way too long and the servers did a poor job taking care of us. We were waiting for water refills for far too long, when we got the refills the server spilled water all over the table (accidents happen) but then we had to ask twice for it to be cleaned up properly. Between courses our silverware was not replaced so when the food finally came (after another long wait) we couldn't start eating. And we had to ask for everything that should have come with the meal--jam for the toast, etc...
Amazing food, fantastic service, beautiful ambiance. Will definitely be back!
Amazing food right off the beach. Great service and a good setup during COVID
Waitress Jessica was amazing. Wagu burgers was very tasty.
Wonderful selection of seafood, romantic atmosphere.
Great outdoor setup. I was very pleased despite the gale force wind, outstanding!
Our favorite lunch spot in Santa Monica- highly recommend!
Was great before covid, but is mediocre right now. I'm sure it will return to greatness.
My husband and I came for dinner and enjoyed a romantic evening overlooking water with the sunset. The view is fantastic although the night was a bit chilly. They do have heaters for each table which was a nice touch. I enjoyed the squid linguini and my husband devoured the lamb. Both dishes delicious. I highly recommend for a nice night out
Prompt and professional service, felt safe all the way around, great outdoor space with tent
Great customer service. Clean. Strict infection control practices.
Anniversary dinner. Pre-set menu, but all great. Had to wait for the table even with a reservation because outdoor seating is limited
$50 for valet for dinner? They will never see me back only because they should be fairly priced for a 2 hour valet of my car. I'm not cheap I am also not a fool so I found it insulting.
