Terramia Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Really good food, but understaffed for the crowd. The lasagne was not good and was sent back and we ordered the papardelle w/lobster sauce (the day’s special), which was awesome. The restaurant seemed slammed, but it still a nice dinner and we will definitely return to this location.
My fiance and I made a reservation for two here for Friday night. We were placed at a table at the back of the restaurant; where basically we were ignored and forgotten. We were sat next to a table for a large party where one person was sitting waiting for the rest of her party. She was served water and bread immediately; yet we waited at least 10 mins for both. Next, behind us sat friends of the owner, as while we are waiting tbey are seated have appetizers and wine decanted. We had no water and our bottle of wine was still unopened. Finally after saying something we received service. The food was ok; it wad hot but not seasoned well. Based on the service we will not be back.
We went for a birthday dinner treat. The food was very good. My date had a salad (the one with prosciutto) which was large and very tasty. His lobster ravioli were not much quantity. The marinara sauce was good but only five ravioli. My pear and gorgonzola salad was also large and very tasty. My entree of littleneck clams and spaghetti was delicious. Pasta cooked al dente- perfect. We did not stay for dessert.
The restaurant was perfect for a special occasion. We would not go there regularly for dinner.
I understand their happy hour has some good deals and good appetizers.
Food here is always good and the services if usually very good as well. This particular dining occasion was for my wife's birthday and so we had the entire family. My only complaint is that it is extremely noisy in the restaurant and the tables are so close together that there is very little room for the wait staff to maneuver therefore they keep bumping into you chair while you are trying to eat. Otherwise, excellent place to eat.
The good is that the food & value for the money is awesome. They have great pizza, chicken parm, & a yummy "deconstructed" lasagna that I come back for time & time again.
The bad is that we made reservations thru open table & they told us there was a 15 minute wait but we waited for almost an hour. They kept seating people in front of us, some who had come in after us, and I had to wonder if they were actual reservations, walk ins, or regulars. I was upset that they obviously don't take reservations seriously and it ruined the experience for us that night. The service was mediocre. The waiters would disappear & not come back for awhile. If it wasn't for the good food, we definitely would not return.
Was kind of disappointed, I made reservations for 4 on a Saturday evening at 6:30, we arrived on time & got seated on time, but we were put at a very small table facing the back wall wine rack, our server was ok, but he wasn't around that much. We had to look for him for water refills. I was the last one finished & I needed a take home box, they took my plate to put my food in a box & I waited for a while for it, then our server came with the check & said have a good night, I said where is my food? He looked at me & said oh, I will go get it. As we waited again, the manager came over & said they are making another one cause they threw my food away. ok, we can all make mistakes but... I don't know if they were having a bad night, the restaurant wasn't packed so?? who knows! Anyway, I was just disappointed. I don't know if I will go back anytime soon, I may give it another try but will see.
After having a couple of very nice lunches here I was looking forward to dinner. This was disappointing at best.
We were seated at a table sandwiched between another four top and a two top. The two top was positioned at a right angle to our table so our backs were against the side of their table. From the looks on the diners sitting there when we were seated, they were not happy either. Our backs almost touched their table.
We had an aisle on either side of our table but our servers reached across the table each time to serve. As a result, grated cheese and other items were spilled onto the table with no effort to clean them up.
The appetizers and entrees ranged from good to bland. It seems items served with a red sauce were quite and well seasoned. The chicken dish with artichokes needed more seasoning than I could add to it.
The lamb special smelled leftover and the person who ordered this said it didn't taste fresh. We asked if we could get an appetizer portion of the gnocchi but were told they pre portion this and it could not be done. Maybe other menu items are prepared similarly and that is why the freshness and seasonings lacked.
I have eaten here many times. Usually food is good as is service. The other night was horrible. Food took forever, had to ask waiter twice for bread. He blamed it on kitchen but another waiter brought it to us when we asked in in less than a minute. Then, we ordered a pizza to go midway through our meal so that it would be ready when we checked out. It took around 45 minutes after our meal was done and paid for to get the pizza. Again waiter wanted to blame it on kitchen. When he was asked why we didn't at least get a complimentary glass of wine while we had to wait so long, he was speechless. Not a good experience for this restaurant and really no excuse for waiter.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food is nothing special. Not real Italian. More like American Italian. Pasta sauce was very bland. Tasted like someone opened a can of tomato sauce and heated it up. Have to go back to try the pizza. Table next to us had pizza and it looked very good.
Quiet not a lot of people there made us think it wouldn't be good - wrong!
Amazing waiter - had some Boston / Australian accent that was amazing. Gave us a free dessert
Fig ravioli was to die for. Haven't had a fig since a fig newton
Overall great experience would suggest it to people looking to eat in the north end where service matters
This was a place I've been wanting to try for a long time. I took my wife on a date night.
The food was excellent. Freshly prepared by a top notch chef. Our meals came out hot and quickly. The pasta is homemade, as were the meatballs and sausage. The sauce was exquisite.
Very large wine list and excellent beers. Arvid was our waiter. He is a master of his profession. Every part of our dining experience was attended to professionally.
The only thing that upset us was we waited so long to try this place.
We'll definitely be returning. 5 stars.
Used to dine regularly at the original Longwood location, but had only dined outdoors for lunch at the current Longwood location. The original location was a more formal, romantic place to dine. The new Longwood location is more casual like the Lake Mary location. The food may have been better had it not been an obvious chaotic night with large parties. Prosciutto pizza was good, would have been better if the prosciutto were added with the arugula after cooking. The shrimp in the pappardelle were excellent, but the sauce bland. Skirt steak portion of the skirt steak salad was cold.
This restaurant is consistently good. Food presentation is creative and server was very capable. The place was very crowded and very noisy. No parking spots were available in the entire parking lot but that was due to the popularity of Terra Mia. It is a neighborhood pub and restaurant and serves many regulars. We were one.
We went here for Valentine's day dinner. The restaurant was busy, so we expected slow service but not the neglect we received. It took our server 30 minutes just to bring our table bread, which was cold when it finally came. Our drink order also never arrived. They didn't seem understaffed so I can only assume lack of preparation. Pretty bad experience, definitely put a damper on our special occasion.
We went there for Valentines Day and made reservations for 2 at 7:30. They did not have the table ready at all and it wasn't even busy. We were in a tight corner next to four teenage girls who were obnoxiously loud. Menu was great and good was good but the wait staff didn't know right from left. I didn't mind leaving the waiter a good tip because he was nice but the details of it being Valentine's Day definitely didn't do it for me
