Terrain Garden Café - Westport
Our food could not have been fresher or more appealing, with a fantastic melange of flavors. The wait staff were charming, personable and knowledgeable. And the atmosphere, as always, was beautiful.
Always a go-to spot :) i have never had a bad experience!
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant located in an awesome store loaded with plants, books, gifts. The food is fantastic--there are farm-to-table and even vegan/vegetarian choices. Very innovative desserts like the chocolate mouse that looks like a terrarium. Great cocktails too. My only suggestion is that the store should stay open as long as the restaurant does. That way people who dine may shop--which would make this dining experience a real extraordinary one.
The place was not very clean. Dirty chairs and dirty cushions.
Service from our server was lovely, acoustics not great for conversation but manageable,
ambiance pretty good and food good except omelette a bit overcooked.
Prices high especially for eggs.
However would probably go back on occasion and order something different.
Service very slow! Food mediocre. Has been better on other meals. Nice wine list.
Brunch was disappointing. Our server was great, friendly, efficient. Food so-so with exception of french fries, they were great but... Brioche French toast was over cooked, much to crispy, not much flavor and missing the walnuts. Avocado toast was burnt on bottom and romesco had odd taste. We did expect better tasting quality entrees for the cost. I would also like to mention that the restaurants chair pads need to be replaced or cleaned; it’s unpleasant to have to sit on something so stained.
Worst waitress ever.
Terrain Cafe is every plant lovers dream escape. I felt so relaxed in the beautiful garden house cafe. The ambience was beautiful and their breakfast board was amazing! I could go here every weekend
Amazing food & service this weekend! We have already scheduled a second visit, in love!
I’ve been to Terrain 3 times with new friends and family and every time has been a home run. I’ve had the same waitress 2x now and she was fantastic on both occasions, I’m drawing a blank on her name unfortunately. She is friendly, attentive, and is 3/3 on her recommendations. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is of course a plus. If you couldn’t tell, I love Terrain.
Excellent food and service.
Food excellent! Can’t wait to go back!
Love this place - delicious food and great service. Gets very busy - make a reservation. We were there at 2.30 and it was still packed.
We had the Breakfast board and avocado Eggs Benedict - both delicious
Wonderful food and great ambiance!
The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was delicious however it is rather pricy for what you are being served. That said as a treat I would definitely return and the store was beautiful to browse through afterwards.
Food was amazing my husband had the mushroom burger. It was amazing!! Can’t wait to go back!
Rachel was incredible!!!!
This was not my first visit to Terrain Garden Cafe. My sister in law and my niece and I have had many enjoyable delicious lunches there!! There is always something new on the menu and everything is fresh and tastes home made. Service was wonderful and even though it was crowded we were not made to feel rushed.
The food, ambiance, and overall experience was lovely. Only thing that was very odd and disturbing was that a waitress which was serving tables next to us grabbed our salt and pepper shakers without asking. Simply swiped them from the table without a word. She even did it a second time when taking our sugar caddy from the table. When we looked at her she simply said - "I just keep on stealing everything from you guys" very ignorant behavior. Other than that everything else was wonderful.
The food was delicious and the service was great .
Service was excellent. Food was great. Would like to see some daily specials
Great lunch on a Friday afternoon - recommend the avocado toast and hummus board. Restaurant was packed but the service and meal were still excellent.
Bridgette was an incredible waitress she pitched in and had the most incredibly gracious way about her and an infectious smile. Next time I hope to be seated in her area
Recommend Terrain Cafe for high quality in food and service with a relaxed atmosphere.
Love the ambiance and energy here but our food and service were disappointing. Our server was negligent and seldom around to meet our needs. I ordered the omelette which should be an easy home run from the kitchen- it come out undercooked in areas. My dining companion ordered the new avocado entree which came with sauce all over it even though she requested it on the side. Nobody really checked on us, we had to request coffee refills and the check from any server that we could make eye contact with. Not up to the usual standard of Terrain dining.
Great food service and options. We were seated right on time despite the long line.
We drove from Central CT about an hour and 15 min drive and we were not disappointed, food, ambiance etc. were just great the Ingredients were so fresh. From our hostess, busboy to the waitress all staff were super. We are definitely coming back! Can't wait to shop outside when the greenhouses are fully operational.
The service was very spotty. Took half of the lunch to get the requested condiments. My breakfast board was overdone and ,y husbands burger was raw and cold. Too much noise to carry on a conversation.
Great in all ways!
I did not like my egg breakfast served on a wooden cutting board. The hash browns were roasted potatoes and didn't love the sausage although the salad on the side was very nice. My friend loved the quinoa dish. Server was a nice guy and very pleasant. Bread in a pot was delicious with everything bagel flavored butter. Cute place. I would go back but order something else.
Something happened to food quality at Terrain. It used to be our favorite. Now, farro salad is not fresh like it was kept in the fridge, kids burgers have poor quality buns. Generally, quality went down a lot. Still a great place for ambiance but not for a tasty meal. We really hope they will improve.
Bridget was an excellent server. She went above and beyond always with a smile.
The beautiful ambiance of Terrain, with its lush plants and twinkling lights, is a setting I enjoy. I wish the food were more consistent. Among the appetizers, the rosti with leeks was truly delicious. The green hummus was overly chilled and ho-hum in flavor - beautifully plated with a cascade of raw vegetables and generous flatbread for dipping, but the hummus itself was dry - a puree of chickpeas which someone forgot to season, it seemed. The burrata with crostini and squash was delicious but served in a bizarre, tiny little bowl which made it difficult to eat. Upending the dish on a plate made it possible to cut into the burrata round and mix it into the little diced squash pieces. The burger and soggy fries arrived not quite warm. This restaurant is so appealing, I just wish the food were more even.
THE BREAD!!! MMMM.....
Lunch was lovely, no complaints.
The grilled cheese and carrot cake were spectacular. Too noisy at lunch, but great service.
