Terrain Garden Cafe
Dinner: Wednesday - Sunday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Lovely setting, fresh ingredients that are prepared nicely, attentive staff, and BYOB. Worth a try.
The food was delicious and the service was good but the noise level was terrible! We were shouting to each other most of the time.
Really interesting place especially For the First Time, smaller menu with limited, premium priced selections and small plate options as well.
The food was delicious, though the menu is somewhat limited. I was so thankful that in the confirmation call I received the day before I was informed it is BYOB which I would not have known otherwise. Dining in the greenhouse was a unique setting, but it was very hot for a summer lunch, and extremely noisy. There is an interesting and extensive garden/gift store attached to the restaurant which was great for buying some interesting birthday gifts for friends.
The food was wonderful but I will not be returning in the summertime. The mosquitos outside were terrible (we were given some sort of lit stick to stave them off but it didn’t work) After being moved inside, the gnats were terrible pests.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time! First thing you notice is how beautiful the garden and cafe are. Our waitress was phenomenal. She was very nice, super attentive, and was very knowledgeable about the menu which was great because we had a few questions. Everything we ate was awesome absolutely no complaints. Then after dinner we walked around the garden and gift shop which made a fun and original experience for our date night. Thank you so much we will definitely be back!
I had the Freebird Chicken Breast entree and that poor chicken was so dry. Looked beautiful. The GM was a lovely woman who took the two entrees off because we weren’t completely satisfied. Everything else was fab. No other complaints. We’ll go back because sometimes people make mistakes. The desire to make it right for us immediately makes this a place to go to for sure. I won’t rave anymore about the apps or the cheese board or the service. All that was more than accommodating.
Wonderful dinner - 4 college friends sharing "small" plates.
Did not realize BYOB - so disappointed we couldn't order wine.
oh well, next time!
Great food, beautiful place. Wish it were closer to home although I’d be broke.
Love terrain garden cafe. Service is excellent. Staff goes out if their way to accommodate you. Atmosphere is unique. Gift shop large and interesting. Highly recommend.
This was our first trip and it was fabulous! Food was so fresh and super delicious. Setting is adorable and prices were reasonable. We are definately going back!!
Felt the menu was grossly overpriced, tho the salads we ordered were good. Wait time for a salad was far too long, over 30 minutes.
Dined here with my Girlfriend, a little far from the city but absolutely worth the experience. Dinner is staged in an actual Greenhouse strung with decorative lights. BYO! Perfect for a summer date night. Be sure to wander the property before/after your meal to see all the flowers and patio furniture.
The space in which you eat is beautiful and the staff was very helpful and friendly especially with our 7 month old. The food was a RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE it was so good. Their complementary bread is incredible and the meals were equally as amazing. We will definitely be back!
Food was great just very expensive for what it was. Very loud in the greenhouse section.
It’s an event to dine at Terrain because of the the store and the ambiance. However, for a place that brands itself on in its unique setting and product, it should offer a better quality dining experience. The menu is limited and doesn’t change but a few times a year. They offer a daily soup du jour, but no dinner specials. The food often seems as though it was sitting under the lights before arriving at the table, and for the price you pay you should expect the quality to be there as well as the service.
Also, Terrain doesn’t serve groups over six unless it’s at 5 or after 8pm. Some of the wait staff needs better training. Service is inconsistent. And, the outdoor dining area needs to be more inviting. For being such a lovely setting inside the shop and Cafe, the outdoor area could use enhancing.
As much as we enjoy going to Terrain and eating at the Cafe, we think it’s overrated. We often leave feeling unfulfilled.
I loved this place. It had everything you could want in a restaurant. Great fresh food, amazing service and wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back again!
My sister is having to use a walker and someone took it and I had a time finding it when she wanted to go to the car.
Food was excellent
Had to wait a long time for bread
Too much ice in my tea...got a headache
Went to Terrain on Saturday to take a friend out for her bday lunch. She had never been and I have been numerous times. This review is from my perspective - we had Christopher as our waiter who was so fun and very accommodating. We ordered an extra bread pot because I wanted my own (I don't like to share it!) and I also had the Terrain burger perfectly prepared for me as well as phenomenal fries. I ate every last bite of it all - especially since it was a cheat day from my diet. Christopher also kept some prosecco chilled that we had brought to celebrate. I wanted to share my love of Terrain with my friend but she didn't seem as impressed as I am every time. I have never had a bad meal here or nothing but excellent service. It's hands down one of my favorite places to eat and/or shop.
everything except the polenta was exceptional. however, the polenta was so salty as to be practically inedible. other food was five star.
a little on the expensive side, but the service and attention were amongst the best we’ve ever experienced.
we were too full for dessert, but one of the kids took the mixed berry cake home and it was delicious.
It was a friends Birthday, we have both been there before, but this time we sat out in the open room area, was very loud, warm and humid. When we went to the other side to shop, after our meal, it was much more quieter and cooler.
A little disappointed in atmosphere this time.
Next time, i will ask to move, (if I experience a similiar condition)knowing the difference in sound and temp conditions.
Food was great.
Beautiful/ fun place for tea/coffee.....highly recommended!
The food is always good; pricey though. I had the Leoni
burratta; the toast was burnt; I ate it anyway. I asked to have an egg on top of it and was accommodated. When I mentioned the toast to the server he removed the item from our check. This is a favorite for my dining companion and me, though.
Great spot for lunch or dinner. The garden store and gift shop adjacent to the restaurant are a plus. The menu is very interesting with unusual dishes. So if you are an adventurous ‘foodie’ give it a try!
We enjoyed our meal! I would have appreciated better seating.
Terrain is always on our list for when the girls are meeting for lunch.
I love the ambiance and the food. The ice tea is the best you can find in the area. However, the food is a bit overpriced.
Always a good time! Food is delicious, staff is friendly and professional. Coffee and tea options perfect! Atmosphere relaxing inspiring and cozy. Great place!
Great food and beautiful cafe!
The bread and butter were bomb, dinner portions kind of small but very tasty. Very cute place with a hipster - naturalist feel that we enjoyed
Terrain garden café. The name says it all. One should not have an unreal expectation. Limited menu, but wonderful ideas on farm to table offerings. It’s a BYOB so one has to guess what to bring but no complaints.
If there was any issue at all and I am searching, was the order of my dinner was exactly the opposite of how I asked it to be delivered. All the plates are tasty. Wish the soup was warmer
Fantastic place all around! wonderful gift shop and gardens, as well as incredible food and unique ambience!
Terrain - as always - was a wonderful experience. From the friendly and personable staff to the great care amongst other customers, it was both comfortable and a luxury to be having brunch at this wonderfully unique establishment.
The perfect, intimate space to end a perfect day with your special someone. Illuminated by strands of lights the earthy space is like dining in an enchanted greenhouse. We split a sumptuous charcuterie board and sampled mushroom soup to start everything was local and presented with utmost beauty. Perfectly cooked duck and steak to cap off our meal with a BYOB Red Burgundy flowing the entire time. Whole place was beyond magical, memorable, and special. Only thing more gorgeous than this whole experience was who I got to share it with.
We had a good time at the cafe and would definitely recommend going here if you are looking for a good atmosphere.
Husband and I like Memorial Day ritual of going for lunch and then peruse store and garden.
We have visited Terrain at least 4-6 times per year over the past 10-years. My family and I have never had a bad experience as the food is exceptional and the staff is always attentive to our needs. We had celebrated my daughter's high school graduation in the Mushroom House and have dined here many times with friends as well!! Always a great experience!!!
Loved this experience - ONLY complaint - EXTEND the retail shop hours on weekends! Then offer diners a discount in the shops...
food was over-priced. the portions were small, especially a dessert for $13. warm bread in the flower pot was wonderful with the herb butter!
service was lacking..waitress didn't add chicken to salad. she had to be reminded to bring cappachino
