The mushroom soup is the best I’ve ever had. That’s saying something in mushroom county. Every detail from the serving dishes to the atmosphere is art. The food is perfectly prepared and seasoned and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating.
This is one of my favorite places in the world. And not just to eat but shop and just get ideas. Love love love their vision.
Great way to celebrate closing on a house!
I’d recommend with hesitation. In 5 previous visits, all was wonderful. This time the kale salad was tasteless and the chicken was completely dry. As always the ambience was beautiful and the service very good. But the food was so terrible, I’m hesitant to return....which is completely unexpected. Do better next time, Terrain!
Terrain is a lovely place to visit. For me, the mushroom soup was good but not great and the chicken entree was on the dry side. I believe it was on a bed of farro which was flavorful. My husband had the burger which he enjoyed.
I think this restaurant should be doing more creative and flavorful menu items.
Not good enough for me to return for a meal although I would come for the nursery section
Restaurant has a cool ambiance. In my opinion place is a little pricy. I’ve eaten at much better restaurants and paid less. Place is byob which is nice to know for future visits.
I’ve been going to Terrain since shortly after it opened. It’s always been beautiful. When I started going, fewer people knew about it, so it was much less crowded and quieter. It definitely felt more like an escape. I’m very glad more people go now, because it’s a great place, but now it is definitely more of a trendy spot! It can be a little noisy and very crowded, but it’s still my favorite spot for special occasions or random days I want to make more special. The shop is adorable and has some fun things, and the service is always wonderful. The staff is all very sweet and helpful. I had my first drink here at 21 (byob), celebrated my engagement with my family there, and spent another birthday there today, and our server recognized us and brought out some ice cream and a candle. So sweet. It could even be a unique, casual place to bring a client or two that you don’t know very well because the whole place is really a conversation starter in itself.
Had a nice day with my best friends for brunch and shopping! The Mushroom Soup and Kale Caeser was delicious. Their terra cotta potted bread is a staple and always a must have as well. Can't wait to come back with them again!
After being seated, we waited at least 20 minutes for wine glasses and our wine bottles opened. The service seemed to improve after that period of waiting.
The food was just okay. We had to send a dish back and order another because my husband just couldn't tolerate it and he NEVER sends food back. The ambiance is beautiful, but the experience, service and food was just okay.
Although they seemed a little understaffed, the food was excellent and the ambiance was so unique !
Great lunch with friends! Food was excellent and portions were good size. Staff was excellent!
Recommend as wonderful place for food and ambiance
Very busy lunchtime at Terrain. The only negative was that the hostess greeted me then got on the phone and ignored me. I waited 10 minutes then I told the other hostess who was about to seat someone outside in the shade that I had requested an outside table in the shade, that I had a reservation, and that I had been waiting 10 minutes. She seated us, but I found it rude that the other hostess totally ignored me and was on the phone.
This a unique quaint place and we love the fresh farm to table menu. We drove almost two hours to enjoy this place. This is a very nice for a nice date with your honey.. top notch!!
We had lunch at terrain while my family was in town and they loved the food and service! Beautiful restaurant and garden!
Beautiful day and we ate on their outdoor patio.... totally lovely and dog friendly
Amazing environment! Beautiful! It took a while to understand the menu but with the help of our server, landed on a cheese plate for the table, a burger, avocado toast, and salmon toast. EVERYTHING was fantastic and fresh. The avocado toast had tiny sweet peppers which added a delicious touch. I didn't eat the burger but my friend said it was delish. The only thing I would recommend is too add just a few more options on the menu like a few other salad choices. I would definitely go back! Beautiful and delicious!!
Had a great time. The food was good and it is just a unique experience. I often take company there.
Lovely environment, delicious and usual food combinations and great service all add up to a lovely luncheon experience.
Lovely ambiance, interesting, unusual food and drink. Excellent presentation. Sometimes a trifle bland in terms of seasoning.
Had lunch with a group of friends. It was a cold and rainy day in May and went in hoping soup was on the menu. Inside, it could not have been more inviting, warm and cozy. The restaurant was full, service was attentive and food was great. I had a salad and completely forgot about wanting something warm. Terrain doesn’t disappoint.
Perfect location for Mother’s Day dinner
The cutest Mother’s Day brunch!! We loved the atmosphere and the food! We will go back next year for sure.
The only thing that would have made Mother's Day Brunch more enjoyable would have been nice weather. Everyone enjoyed what they selected for their meal. The regular menu this year versus the prix fixe menu on some prior Mother's Days resulted in a much smaller check at the end of the meal. Terrain has become a Mother's Day tradition that will continue.
The cost of the Mother’s Day brunch was extremely overpriced for the food provided. What was placed out was good (and yes I read the menu before making the reservation) but upon retrospect for $50+ per adult and $30 per child there needs to be a filet carving station and an omelette station to make it worth that expense. I also noticed another table receiving boxes of macarons, no idea how my large group missed out on that extra. My husband joked we must not have paid the $100 upgrade for that perk. The setting was beautiful even in the rain but I know we won’t be going back for that event anytime soon.
I love going for brunch or dinner at terrain but I will say the food quality for the Mother’s day brunch event was so so for the price of it.
Loved loved loved our experience. Only feedback is blowers/air conditioning is overwhelming when you sit in direct way it’s blowing. We were freezing!
It's a perfect spot for brunch. Both the indoor and outdoor seating are lovely, and the food is always wonderful.
This place is the whole package. Beautiful environment, lovely service, and delicious food. Worth every penny.
loved the atmosphere of the cafe and the food was excellent. would def go back again!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent as well as the food. Fresh, hot and very satisfying. I always love getting the hot bread in the terra cotta pot. I had to switch entrees with my friend, the Skaluska was too spicy for me, although it didn't say that on the menu. It was a lovely afternoon brunch.
Loved the restaraunt! Elizabeth was a fantastic server! She really seemed to understand the menu and was able to answer the many questions we had. Food was excellent and the noise level was nice and quiet.
Our server Elizabeth was delightful. The food was fantastic.
Beautiful relaxing atmosphere with delicious food (especially the coffee!!). Thanks so much for a wonderful evening!
Our waitress was very nice and I was with my friend who had just finished her radiation. They were nice enough to give her a complimentary dessert. So service and empathy was tops
My issue was in past I had had 2 wonderful salads. Arugula
Spiced pear roasted walnuts. Excellent
This time it was not on menu. I have dietary issues with diary so the choices were sparse.
The salad I could have was not up to par with Terrain
Something with rice and some kinds of onions. All with cheese.
Beautiful setting and delicious food from a creative menu.
Went for brunch on Sunday. Food was really outstanding. They offer a wide variety of coffee and teas. Marybeth was an amazing server. Can’t wait to go back.
Food was well prepared and served at a good pace. Pleasant dining space and our server was attentive. 👍
This was a great dining experience! It was my 4th time there, but I took my mom for her first time and she loved it. From the chocolate terrarium, to the flower pot bread, she could not stop talking about how great it was! I will definitely be back
