Terrain Garden Cafe
Excellent seasonal dishes. Great for brunch. It can get load when it is full (weekends).
Took two friends who had never been before. Food was spectacular and being a BYOB helps keep the cost of the meal down.
Went here for brunch with a few girlfriends - we were all impressed and had a fabulous time. 10/10 would recommend. Food, service and ambiance were all spot on.
Nicely prepared dishes using fresh ingredients. Limited menu choices but nice atmosphere in rustic barn like building in a garden center. Very popular and well known spot.
Very nice place. Great to bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the cheese plate
Had a very good meal again. A quiet evening due to weather.
Waitress provided very good service and as quite friendly
Always cool in the restaurant so bring a sweater, but not a big deal.
Will surely go back.
Love, love, love the Cauliflower sandwich! Best thing sandwich EVER. Please don't EVER take it off the menu
The food is always good here, nice variety of options. This meal was not an excellent because the mushroom soup was very bland and lacked seasoning. The wait staff acknowledged this and took off the check.
Garden oasis in January! Twinkle lights, living plants, casual earthly elegance . Creative, healthy and filling choices on menu .
Wonderful experience. Zzzzzzzxxxxxxx vvvvvvvbbbb
Service was perfect. The surroundings and ambiance is quite charming. The mushroom soup was mid level.
Our main dishes were disappointing. I have dined here 6 times in total. The past 2 times have been disappointing. the 4 times prior to these 2 recent visits I would consider at level expected or even higher. I am hopeful that they return food to what it once was (in my opinion).
Supposed to be hot the Soup was served tepid at best. The hamburger tasted like it was par cooked but not finished off. It too was not proper temperature. Both order asked to substitute greens for fried potatoes. One came with greens. The other with potatoes. The server did bring a very small side salad to satisfy the order. We had to ask for the flowerpot bread. The food came out in a slap dash manner. It was a disappointing lunch.
What a wonderful experience. The ambiance and atmosphere was so nice. We felt like we were in a garden in the middle of winter! Food was spectacular and so many options. Our first time there but will not be our last!
Amazing ambiance. Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere
As a vegan, I appreciated that there was something on the menu I could eat. Perhaps offer at least two vegan options.
Beautiful place great ambience but I wish the food was warm. Some of our dishes was cold.
We had a wonderful time! We had a group of 7 and had a reservation. My only complaint would be that we were seated 20-25 min after our reservation and there was not much space to wait near the reservation desk. Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome and our waitress was very nice and attentive.
Always a memorable time, we drive 90 minutes to enjoy the food, atmosphere and unique shopping. Can't wait to go again! Been returning time and time again for the past 7+ years and it never disappoints.
So beautiful! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Knowledgeable on all menu items, and gave us great recommendations. The food was perfect! We started with hummus and truffle fries, and I got smoked salmon toast. Delicious! Will 100% return. New favorite spot.
I have now gone to Terrain two times and both times were really great. The first time it was a bit noist but my most recent visit was really relaxing. The staff are very friendly, quick to make sure everything is good and overall some of the best service I've experienced. The food is delicious. I definitely recommend the Terrain burger. I will definitely go back again and recommend Terrain to others. Just a note, it is a little expensive but worth it in my opinion.
Over the years, a visit to Terrain never disappoints 💜 Great food, service and atmosphere!
A little more expensive than I would like at the store. But loved the cafe!
It was a unique dining experience offering healthy options.
Beautiful setting, delicious food. A little noisy if trying to have a conversation and a little chilly, but that's to be expected if you're sitting in a greenhouse.
Water was dripping on our table the whole dinner!
Disappointing we had to wait even with reservation 😔
Awesome atmosphere, food and service. Five Stars all the way!
The vibe in their is unbeatable
I often take my friends and colleagues to Terrain for "Thank You" lunches. The menu is excellent, often very different from the local "norm" and always delicious. Service is excellent and the servers are always pleasant and committed to making your experience the best. My guests are always amazed and very pleased... except for the noise level in the garden room. Communicating is difficult. Still, giving Terrain a 5 out of 5-star rating.
Our second time here and it was just as wonderful as the first. Wonderful service and interesting menu. Everything is worth a try to find that new favorite dish. My boyfriend had the breakfast board and it was both plentiful and delicious. I had the tomato feta egg dish which was interesting. We had the pear fritters and black garlic toast they were terrific starters! I also had an excellent pot of earl grey which was perfect for a chilly afternoon. Such a lovely place to dine for an everyday brunch or special occasion. Perfect for this past holiday week.
Temperature of the room was cold, I ate with my coat on. Steak was tuff.
We ate at Terrain on New Year's Eve after touring Longwood Gardens. What a magical night! Despite a rainfall that likely and thankfully thinned the crowds, my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful time together that was perfectly completed by an outstanding meal at the restaurant. The service was friendly, the atmosphere lively, and the food outstanding. The charcuterie board we shared was the best we've ever had. I look forward to returning for another meal as the one hour drive from our house was well worth the time.
New Years Eve experience did not meet our expectations. Service was polite but spotty and unpredictable. We opted for the NYE special: steak and scallops @ $90. Presentation was no more than meat on a plate. Steak was chewy; more like a thin London broil. The meal was a rip-off at 90 bucks. Terrain is good for lunch plates and light supper. Very good mushroom soup. Catering to those celebrating NYE may be a bridge too far for this venue.
Excellent food, ambiance, service, and value - particularly for special occasions.
We came here for New Year’s Eve. Brought our own wine as this is a BYOB. Cheese board was great. Salad just ok. I had the pasta special which was way too salty. Shrimp on top was good. Had been here before and had pasta and was much better. Overall nice dinner but please slow down on the salt in the pasta! Husband liked the duck entree. Would recommend as nice atmosphere, very unique place.
Had an excellent meal here for New Year's Eve. Great food, wonderful service, beautiful restaurant.
Usually everything is amazing. Maybe it was the holiday or they were just really busy but everything seemed rushed and the entrees not nearly the quality of past visits. They arrived kind of over cooked and cold and looking kind of flat and sad. The salad was nice though.
Our server was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was wonderful. Even though we had to send back a burger that was well done rather than medium-rare, the meal was good. Would definitely want to come back to try other items.
As always...very good to excellent every time. We go here often. Its also a great special event type location
