TerraCotta Wine Bistro
Our varied menu features both large and smaller portions of daily entrees that encourage guests to sample and share a number of dishes.
TerraCotta Happy Hour continues all day long, with over 60 wine by the glass options available for $6 every day until 6pm.
Small, cozy, tables very close, no real privacy. Food excellent and service very attentive and personalized.
We throughly enjoyed our evening at Terra Cotta. The wine list is expansive with lots of different prices. Something for everyone. The food was excellent. My husband and I both enjoyed selections from the spring price fixed menu, but plan to go back to enjoy other dishes that looked delicious coming from the kitchen. Our servers were cheerful friendly and helpful in making recommendations. The atmosphere is lively without being busy or noise. I have already recommended TerraCotta to friends!!
Excellent food and service. Well-priced and a great ambiance.
Wow! Where to begin! This is our favorite restaurant in all of SantaFe since we discovered it about 6 years ago. We are not residents, but visit 2-3 times a year. Yet they always recognize us and treat us like regulars. We ALWAYS enjoy great food, friendly staff and cozy, yet upscale, ambiance. It’s absolutely the best value we’ve found in the area.
This time, celebrating our anniversary with them, they outdid themselves! Anniversary greetings from almost every staff member, they remembered our favorite table, served us complimentary champagne, and two of the owners visited with us. Jake, Emily, Glenda and Katherine not only served us delicious food in a lovely place, but made our celebration a totally special experience!
We are constantly delighted with our visits to TerraCotta. The food is always excellent and the wait staff is perfect. I've lived in Santa Fe for many years and TerraCotta is one of the few restaurants that I know I will always enjoy.
Best barbecue I’ve ever had, and I’m from Texas! The sauce was a perfect combination of sweet and tangy; the brisket was thinly sliced, and tender; and the ribs actually fell off the bones. But barbecue is just one choice. The French onion soup was covered in a thick layer of cheeses, and the house salad was full of delicious sweet and savory treats. We were lucky enough to have two servers including one in training. Both were attentive and friendly. This is a quaint little romantic spot with great wine, food, and people.
Everything I have tried has been amazing! They have a large selection of wines baring from $20~ bottles to more expensive ones. They have the best pot pies I've ever had!
Our new Santa Fe “go to “ place.....always just lovely.
Always welcoming and delicious! One of out go-to places in Santa Fe.
Wonderful variety to the menu -- we particularly enjoyed the mix of bruschetta to choose from. Service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was convivial and relaxed.
Food, wine, and service were great - will definitely be back!
This place was truly a hidden gem. I never would have found it by its location as it is not directly in the heart of town; but rather on a side street. I was browsing the web looking for a place to have dinner at the last minute while walking around town and this happen to pop-up. We were quite happy with our little discovery. Would definitely go there again if we were ever in town.
Adorable place, they have their own parking since it is tight in the area which was nice. We were seated in the back room at a small table in the corner! A few minutes the Host came back and moved us to a nice table in the big front room. Huge wine list, nicely catagorized by price. Crab cakes and the Chicken Schnitzle were delicious, and the dessert. Our waitress was spot on but not bothersome. Will come back next time were in town.
Excellent evening, our anniversary dinner couldn’t have been more fun, thanks TerraCotta highly recommend for all occasions.
We were put in a room with a table of 11 people who were practically shouting at each other. It was awful. I couldn’t even talk to the person. next to me.
Very pleasant lunch. Food was very good. Service was attentive but unobtrusive.
The food was not fabulous. I think I was the only one of four who thought mine was great; others weren’t impressed. Nice dining area and good service.
We were looking for a nice place with good friends to celebrate that wouldn’t be overly expensive. The food was good and there was a large selection of wine. Service was great and attentive.
Great wine selection. Attentive servers. Delicious food!
Very mediocre. Good service and atmosphere
Good choice for a get together with friends, charming and intimate.
Lovely early dinner. Fabulous wine list.
As always, the food, wine, and service were outstanding. Terracotta never fails to deliver--it's a go-to place for delicious food, great wine, and a relaxed time. Thank you, Terracotta!
This was a very poor dining experience. The restaurant lost our reservation but fortunately we checked in advance and remedied that situation. Upon arrival they wanted to seat us at the bar but the hostess did make an effort to get a delayed seating at a real table. The salmon and flank steak that we had were poorly prepared though the vegetables were good. We made the mistake of paying in cash because we just wanted to get out of there so both the waitress AND hostess came running after us saying we had not paid even before they checked to see that there was full payment and a tip in the bill wallet. I almost wanted to take the money back to I could retrieve the tip I had reluctantly left. In fairness, our friends were surprised with our experience but then admitted they had not actually been there in a couple of years.
Took some visiting friends to Terracotta which we love. Now we have more fans of the restaurant! Chicken schnitzel was the choice for 3 of us and plates were completely cleaned by each. Others had the steak salad and poached pear salad plus the chicken vegetable soup. Great all around. Key lime pie topped off the meal. Perfect. Service was just right.
An extensive and very good wine list and also very good, tasty dishes.
We only had the Bruschetta, some soup and a creme brûlée, mostly excellent.
And we were well taken care of by our waitress and one of the partners.
Charming, cozy, attentive service, great food. Condusive to leisurely conversation and camaraderie.
Varied menu and great food for the money. Good choices for non meat eaters.
Very delicious dinner in the bar.
Great selection of wines by the glass.
Nice live guitar in the dining room.
Very enjoyable dinner.
My wife and I shared the flank steak. It was pretty good, but we absolutely loved the bruschetta choices. We almost wished we went and made a second order for it as our dinner.
Really great wine menu, as the name of the restaurant would suggest, and was just a nice, quiet place to have dinner. Would definitely consider going back.
Great food and wine. A welcome break from all the wonderful Santa Fe regional food.
We were pleased to find this cute little wine-focused restaurant after a hectic evening trying to find a place to eat closer to Santa Fe’s plaza. The ambience is great, and exactly what you’d want and expect from a “bistro.” However, the wines were all pretty expensive (though good) at a minimum of $12 a glass and most quite a bit more than that. Would have been nice to have a decent “house wine” at a more reasonable price. The service was very good and attentive, no complaints there.
The food was the big letdown. We ordered flank steak and the pasta shells dish. While the steak was ordered Medium, it came out very much well done... and luke warm. The bed of potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower on which the meat sat were also cold. And the meat was very tough. The sauce was good but otherwise it was a disappointment. As to the pasta shells, it was just a huge cheesy bowl of pasta with tomato sauce... and was also luke warm. It was the sort of dish one would expect to find in a truck stop cafe: huge, cheesy and starchy but what you’d expect at a truck stop. We expected quite a bit more at this bistro.
We’d go back for the wine and ambience but if we do we’ll be sure to eat somewhere else either before or after.
Our first time visit; very pleased with food, service, ambiance, and ability to converse normally.
We travel to Santa Fe several times a year and we make it a point to dine at TerraCotta Winde Bistro on every visit. The staff is always courteous, and they remember us. The food is always excellent (love their French Onion Soup!). The wine list is also excellent with selections covering the full spectrum of wine varieties and prices. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Skip the oysters and the dinning room was so loud we moved to the bar which was much nicer. Great wine and fried chicken!
Great food great service, if we are ever in the area we would definitely go again
The food and decor were what you might expect from a small, quality restaurant, but what made the eating experience exceptionally pleasant was the mellow sound of the acoustical guitarist playing and conversing with customers from across the room. Seated on cushions against the walls in the opposite corner, the relaxing calm of the meal was rejuvenating after a long day of sightseeing. An added bonus was an opportunity to have good food that was lacking the Southwest influence of the previous five places we had dined at; when traveling local food is delicious, but sometimes universal staples done well are just what the chef orders.
We dined at TerraCotta during Restaurant Week. We sampled several red wines, all of which were excellent. The service was excellent and not obtrusive or neglectful. The special menu selections were interesting and good. The salad was really wonderful. My entree (pork schnitzel) was a perhaps a little dry but still very tasty. I ate it all! The dessert trifle was great though, by that time, most of us were so full we couldn't finish it. The dining area was comfortable, relaxed, and pleasantly quiet, allowing for good conversation.
