Still an awesome place! Always good.
Rather disappointing overall. My boyfriend and I both ordered a glass of wine each and his tasted spoiled. They did give him another glass free of charge. Service was fine overall and we never felt neglected. However the food was a real disappointment. I ordered the summer pasta and couldn’t even finish it it was so flavorless. Even after seasoning it at the table with salt and pepper. The ambiance was charming but overall for the price and the poor quality I can’t recommend.
A delightful neighborhood spot with cozy I does and sweet terrace. The food is decent and very fairly priced. The owner is friendly and makes sure guests are happy. Recommended.
Beautiful outdoor patio. Service and food were outstanding.
Great food and service!
Great food and ambiance. Nice outdoor patio. Great wine selection. $6 glass of wine prior to 6pm
I went for my birthday celebration. It is my favorite restaurant in town. We always are very happy with everything there! The people are super nice there too!!!
Great meal. Had the oysters Rockefeller and crab cakes. Would highly recommend
Delicious food in quaint, relaxing space. Great selection of wine,
My husband and I stopped overnight in Santa Fe on our way to Colorado. We had read good reviews on Terra Cota so decided to give it a try. Food and service was excellent, with the Covid situation they provided hand sanitizer at the door and spread customers out well. There was a beautiful patio out back we didn’t know was available, I would definitely request that next time. The food was fresh, tasty and generously portioned. We had the wedge salad, crab cakes and lamb kabobs. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Lovely meal on comfortable outdoor patio and great service. Highly recommend the bruschetta. Appreciate the restaurant being open and taking such good care of us in difficult times. Please visit and support this local Santa Fe business!
We had a lovely evening in the patio
This was our 2nd time here and it was every bit as delicious as the 1st time. I had the Ahi and my wife had the salmon. Both were excellent.
TerraCotta should really be a group experience, so the wonderful wine list can be enjoyed properly. The food is good and well-prepared, though not really exciting. Service was excellent.
It was an amazing dining experience . So friendly, great service and outdoor seating. Great dinner!
As always, the food and ambiance were exceptional! Kudos to Cheff Kate and Glenda!
Dined on the patio. Quiet and comfortable. Quality food and service. Always a favorite.
So glad to support one of my favorite local restaurants. Never disappoints! Great food and great service. Bravo!
Our anniversary in the time of COVID - and with some easing of restrictions we were delighted to return to Terra Cotta. The evening was perfect and we chose an outside seating: the roses were cooperating with scents and colors aplenty. Our waitstaff was warm, knowledgeable and had great timing, sensing when to come by, when to leave us. We shared a bowl of spicy watermelon gazpacho; I had the stuffed poblano and she had crab cakes; we shared a chocolate dessert and a very nice bottle of Pinot Gris. The crab cakes had less flavor than might have been; the poblano was filled with perfectly made quinoa and veggies.
We were happy that the staff was so attentive to the needs of masking, noting that it is so odd that visitors to Santa Fe seem not to realize that they, too, need to take COVID precautions.
Excellent food, excellent service, good to have them back
As local Santa Feans, my wife and I wanted to try a restaurant we'd never visited before to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We also wanted to make certain we visited a locally-owned restaurant. We selected TerraCotta Wine Bistro, and we chose wisely! The setting allowed for quiet conversation, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the servers were attentive without ever being intrusive. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, with all staff being highly attentive to Covid-Safe practices. The meal itself was exquisite, beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Servings were not as large as other restaurants we've visited, but we found the serving sizes to be "just right" for our appetites. We ate every bite of our entrees and desserts, and left satisfied but not overly full. The wine was also excellent - we tried a couple of wonderful reds. All in all, it made for a delightful anniversary evening.
TerraCotta Wine Bistro is probably not the best place to go if you are looking for dinner on a budget. With each of us ordering an entree, dessert, and glass of wine, our tab came to just under $100 before adding a generous and well-earned tip. (By Santa Fe standards, this is fairly typical for a "nice" dinner for two.) That said, the meal, service and ambiance were worth every penny!
We ate inside, but the restaurant also has a wonderful covered patio that I'm sure we will enjoy when we visit again.
Our thanks to Linda and her staff for a wonderful evening!
We went to this restaurant right when restaurants were reopening after covid. It was a great experience. They took all the precautions and wore masks the entire time. The restaurant was clean and they're was appropriate n distancing. More over, our service and good was so incredibly good!! Every bite was tasty and fresh. All be coming back next time we visit.
First fine dining experience post shutdown and it didn’t disappoint. Food, service, and wine selection were excellent but the desserts were exceptional! Charming ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Santa Fe!
Excellent food and wine selection. We sat on the back patio which is perfect. Very good wine prices. Great service. Covid 19 precautions in place. Bruschetta, cheese board were great shared. Branzino was outstanding with fire roasted vegetables. Great Riesling. Great for lunch or dinner.
I would not return. Food was so so. Wine was mediocre at best. Service was gruff. Atmosphere was loud, I could every word from the tables next to us. Felt rushed, they decided to close early and it seemed as though the staff wanted to empty out the place ASAP.
Our party of 6 were here for Santa Fe restaurant week and had a lovely dinner off the restaurant week menu
We go to this restaurant a lot because the food and service are consistently good. I also don’t have to worry about the kitchen staff using any seasoned salt (MSG) as the owner of the restaurant has the same allergy.
The service was great! In our reservation we had listed that we have one child and one baby and they setup a very comfy chair for the baby! The food was amazing! Best wine list with variety and price!
I went for restaurant week twice because their menu and wine selections were that impressive! Both times, I sat in the bar. Emily, the bartender, always delivers wonderful service and wine recommendations. When in Santa Fe, this restaurant is a must.
Great quiet spot off the beaten path from the Plaza. We went during restaurant week. TerraCotta did participate and the food was good. My wife had the chicken pot pie and I had a bbq plater. I would have liked to have seen another choice on the restaurant week menu besides those two. However, the food was great and the service was too. They also offered 20% off bottled wine.
My wife had the barbecue and I had the planked salmon, both of which were excellent, and their wine list is HUGE. We plan on dining here again in the future!
It would seem that during restaurant week, Terra Cotta would be doing their utmost to ensure return customers. However, the service made us feel very rushed, and the waitress bordered on being unprofessional and rude. The main course was served before we finished the appetizer. She noticed that we weren’t sharing the dessert, and for some reason felt compelled to comment on it. The salmon was overcooked, the vegetables were limp, and they forgot to put a major component (the brisket) on the barbecue plate. Even with a reservation, we were seated at a very small table sandwiched between two other couples. This used to be a go to restaurant for us; we are unsure if and when we will return.
We were there during restaurant week and their menu choices were awesome. The surroundings are cozy, the food was fantastic and our server was sweet and attentive. It was such a nice experience, we’ll be back.
We ate at TerraCotta Wine Bistro during Santa Fe Restaurant Week. Reservations were made for our party of 8 and we had a wonderful round table where everyone could see and hear each other. The host and waiter were gracious and had a wonderful sense of humor. The food was scrumptious and the wines we chose were fabulous! Our group had celebrated a birthday there once before and we will certainly go back!
We had a great pre-fix dinner. The salmon had a nice flavor to it and the meal was very generous. Good dinner!
The food is fabulous, the wine choices are amazing, great service, and a great atmosphere!
Feel like I found a gem. Really enjoyed the menu and wine.
Great service. Nice selection of wine. Good food. I will definitely be back!
Terracotta remains true to its roots and has very good values on both wine and food during the early part of the evening. It offers one of the best values in upscale dining for Santa Fe, when most restaurants in this class seem to believe $60 a person for small portions is the standard. My only concern is that their menu hasn't changed in years.
Our experience was just ok. We went for restaurant week as a group of three, for a fun moms night out! The soup was very tasty, the entree was disappointing...i had the bbq plate and the ribs were spectacular but everything else was pretty awful...the brisket was mushy and super salty, the grits were hard and had strange melted cheese on top (like shredded cheese tossed on) and the greens were salty and flavorless. The cheesecake was delicious. Service was mediocre at best and the waitress wrote in her desired tip in pen at the bottom of our check! So strange, that has never happened to me before.
