Quiet jazz brunch, nicely presented and plated; food is fine; service is great; restrained ambiance, perfect for conversation
The terrace room was delightful. The food was elegant. The soft jazz music playing in the background was wonderful. We had a great time and truly enjoyed the experience.
Service was slow and even though there was a prefix 3 course meal, our table had two courses get missed for one our our diners where we had to ask if they were coming. One meal came out cold and over cooked but the staff was quick to fix that. Overall, a little slow and pricy for what we received. Nice ambiance though.
Breakfast was interesting and different, as well as delicious. Also the Inn's G & T was exceptional. The waitstaff were attentive and so pleasant.
Understaffed the night we were there. Underwhelming experience overall.
Food was pretty good but the service was fantastic! The ambiance was absolutely lovely. Overall it was a great place for dinner while touring colonial Williamsburg
Very attentive staff for anniversary. Food was very good. Seated us near wait staff door to outside dining...annoying. Presentation excellent. Staff friendly, not stuffy, and engaged us in celebrating our 50+ year story.
Excellent meal at the end of a long day of touring. Food was delicious and service great. Sharon, our server, was very kind to our daughter, very knowledgeable, and very attentive and efficient. Wonderful experience.
It was a wonderful dinner and with a very knowledgeable wait staff “Stephan”. Stephan made sure we had a pleasurable experience from appetizers to dessert.
Thank you we will be back soon!
As expected. Superb service. It would be better if a greater variety of desserts would be available. I do not like chocolate or the odd sounding brulee.
This is a small casual dining area with about 10 tables off of the bar area. Nice place to eat if you don't want the formal feel of the Rockefeller room.
This restaurant has a very high rating and we've eaten there before and enjoyed the food. This time, it wasn't up to par. I had trout , potatoes and iceberg salad.
The dressing on the salad was amazing but too salty. The potatoes were not eatable, because they were undercooked. The menu said there would be vegetables but there were none.. The fish was covered with sorghum and way too much salt. The only way I could eat it was to take everything off including the skin.
My husband had pasta with lobster and was very happy with the amount of lobster and said it was good, but it should have been excellent.
The desert was wonderful!
This was a great anniversary dinner - the dinner was great and the service was spot on.
Me and my now fiancé went as we had gotten engaged the day before. It was an amazing experience and the staff was very nice
Great place to get away for a great me. Everything was excellent, quality food, great service, solid ambiance, they had low key live music playing but it wasn’t overpowering.
The only thing I’d work on is developing the cocktail menu. I didn’t think that the drinks were very well executed. Overall an excellent experience.
Food and place was wonderful. Our server, Kristina, was amazing. Reservations definitely a must in these COVID times which, by the way, they were VERY cognizant of. The food was absolutely the best. Would highly recommend!
Truly a local treasure. Food and service exceptional.
Service was amazing! Food was beautifully presented, and tasted wonderful! Rockefeller Manhattan is a must. Chocolate Pave cake was awesome!
This is an elegant yet approachable spot for lunch. The setting is so beautiful and attention from staff excellent and yet you can get a tasty sandwich and homemade sides for under $20.
Excellent venue for the NYE celebration. Stephan was informative and accommodating. Wine pairings were delivered on time and on point.
Our waitress was excellent. Helpful but not bothersome. The wine pairings were horrible. The appetizers and desserts were ok but not great. The short rib entree was awesome. Overall, the experience was less than what I expected from the Inn. More just medeocre
Nice spot for dinner. Service and ambiance excellent. Food very good. Prices fair to slightly high.
Stephan is an excellent waiter
who really knows how to provide quality customer service. The food was delicious and the environment was pleasant! Overall, it was a great experience and we do plan on returning!
The food is good the cocktails excellent and the sticky toffee pudding heavenly.
Our dinner at the Terrace Room was excellent. The food was delicious - try the Beef Stroganoff, it is very rich but, absolutely delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked and and very juicy. The desserts for this particular night were a grits pudding, which my husband thought was outstanding, and dark chocolate dipped almond bark, which melted in my mouth. Finally, if you are a bourbon drinker, you must try the Rockefeller Manhattan as it is absolutely delicious. Ryan was our server and he provided top of the line service. It was also very nice to meet Michael, the manager, who made his way around the room greeting all of the guests. It was a delightful evening.
Great experience, good food.
The food was delicious and the service was terrific.
We blew it more than the restaurant. We have enjoyed the Manors wonderful dinning room in the past. We mistakenly thought we had booked the dinning room but found ourselves in the bar/lounge. A lovely room with about twenty chairs. The disappointment was the menu, just nice bar food. The dinning room is shut due to covid. Will say the soup of the day was excellent, the flat bread, marginal. Don’t go here if you think like we did, there is no dinner menu. The entire place was more of ghosts town than it’s typical spender. To hell with covid
Elegant, white tablecloth venue with impeccable service, decent wine list, imaginative interpretations of standard favorites. We started lunch with salt cod fritters which despite the word "salt" were not salty, yet they were flavorful. The peanut and remoulade sauces that accompanied the fritters were perfect flavors for the dish. Then we had the corn soup which was out of this world delicious. i could have had a gallon of it! I had a house salad for my entree--perfectly done--and my dining partner had beef stroganoff. The stroganoff was composed of house-made Campanile noodles, wild mushrooms, and petite tender pieces of flavorful beef. This was a truly remarkable meal.
The Terrace Room is cozy and there are just enough choices on the menu for everyone's tastes. The service was terrific and I recommend it for a special lunch--tucked away from the lobby, overlooking the beautiful terrace and grounds.
An outstanding meal served in a beautiful atmosphere. Our waiter could not have given us better advice on the meal we chose. It was a delightful beef stroganoff.
The dining experience was exactly what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant.
But of an old musty smell but amazing food.
Excellent food, service, and music. Dining on terrace was lovely.
Went for Sunday Brunch. The food was outstanding. Love the atmosphere - inside and out. Service was great. Would highly recommend.
Overall very disappointed...
The night before our reservation, my boyfriend and I were able to explore the hotel and see the restaurant on our way though Colonial Williamsburg. We were greeted at the door and offered a table right away. We very much enjoyed what we saw. We decided to return the next night dressed for the occasion and with a reservation to celebrate our anniversary.
When we arrived, the door greeter, (who’s name tag and uniform were covered) blankly stared at us as if we were supposed to know where to go. Once outside, we stood at the host stand for almost 5 minutes before an employee (who was not the host) asked if we needed any help and went to find the host instead of seating us.
Instead of cleaning off one of the 2-3 tables that were empty with cups on them, we were offered the only other table available by the door that had seating for 6.
It was another 5 minutes before the host happened to be walking by again and saw we didn’t have waters. She asked what looked like a manager to help us. Another few minutes before we even received waters.
It would have been less frustrating if we weren’t sat right next to the walk way were ALL of the waiters and even a manager had walked past us multiple times.
I did not feel like we were any kind of a priority to the staff.
I also have some food allergies that was hoping to speak to a manager about but at this point I was not confident that my order would have been taken seriously.
We were able to walk all the way across the restaurant and out the same front door without anyone asking why were leaving.
The decor was beautiful but the service was awful.
Due to COVID, the Terrace Room was quiet and few people were there eating. Donna graciously welcomed us and showed us around prior to our reservation. Prior to dinner, we sat outside on the back patio, enjoying drinks before our meal. Leesa was a wonderful server and our meals were excellent. We are recommending this to friends who may be heading to Williamsburg next month. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Loved the outside ambience with the warmth of table firepits. The food and drinks were outstanding! What a treat!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner al fresco under a lovely tent with good air flow, distanced seating and masked and gloved staff. The food was delicious and hot, notwithstanding the cool outdoor temperatures. All four of our family members raved about their selections. The steak frites was perfectly prepared. The burgers with a heavenly cheese fondue sauce and onion jam were remarkable and definitely worthy of a second visit. The trout filet with a crispy sorghum garnish was highly praised as delicious and unusual. The service was appropriately attentive and professional. We understand that the tented air can be heated in compliance with the Commonwealth's requirements for air flow, but we were comfortable without heat. Definitely recommend this spot for a wonderful dinner.
