   The hotel and restaurant are beautiful. We enjoyed our meal and experience very much. Our server Vaughn and his assist were top notch with a keen eye for detail and attentive service. The meal, cocktails and dessert were all delicious. Worth the extra money if you're looking for special meal while in Colonial Williamsburg.

   The building and rooms are beautiful. Excellent setting and good food. However, it was so cold we all left with cold. We tried to tell them and finally got a blanket bed cover we could sit underneath. But seriously they should be able to control this better. We would have come back simply because of the setting.

   The food and service were wonderful. They had a solo musican playing soft music in the bar area that spilled over into the dining area so it was very relaxing. The ambience was just right for an enjoyable evening. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food and experience.

   Te service was outstanding. We were greeted by the manager and spoke with the administrator and wine expert. The wine he offered a taste of was well described and suited our tastes as well as complementing the food. The wait staff was attentive and offered explanations and suggestions. We were told to take our time, which we appreciated as we had drinks first. The bartenders were exceptional as well, offering suggestions and good pours. The ambiance was elegant with great murals and windows. It was exceptionally clean and the dinnerware was rich. Loved it!

   I was disappointed. Expected a better dining experience. Service was ok in this era of post pandemic order taker mentality where the attitude of servers is “you’re lucky I,m here.” Food was over cooked but this seemed to be the theme on our tercentenary trip across a number of states. Room is very nice and comfortable.

    Made a reservation for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was delicious, the ambiance and service were not what we would have expected. We were given a table next to the service station and had to deal with servers conversations as well as the noise of dishes being placed on trays etc. The server we had was obviously new, although very professional and extremely nice. The extra place setting at our table was finally removed during desert (other tables in the room were cleared immediately upon guests being seated). Although we enjoyed our meal, we had expected so much more.

    The food was awful. The salad was extremely sweet as if a honey jar was opened on it. The oysters were bland, with no briny taste. Everything was sub par. The room was pretty.

    My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary here and the dinner was wonderful, from the moment we entered the Williamsburg Inn to the time we left the Inn. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. We both had the pork, and the flavors were just right.

    We were there for Sunday Brunch. There were very few vegan options, although the waitress did her best to accommodate. The crab bisque was good, my crab omelet was only okay, and my non-vegan friend’s burger was overcooked. All in all, the meal was way overpriced for that limited variety and mediocre quality

    We had an amazing dinner last Friday night! We ordered many things but our favorites were the brussel sprouts, truffle fries, steak, and the best thing was the special dish with steak and scallops. Trevon was our server, he was helpful, kind, and attentive. Next time we are in the area it will be a must to go back!! Food was amazing and one of the best dinners I have had in months.

    Overall a great setting for a restaurant with options for formal dining, bar atmosphere, and semi-casual dining. Nice menu with solid options; my wife loved her food, whereas I thought my chicken pot pie was rather bland and unexciting. The restaurant was freezing, they had the air on when it was 55 degrees outside for 8pm reservations. I mentioned to our waitress that it was very chilly and she just brushed it off. After looking around the restaurant everyone was wearing light jackets, should've told you something!

    My wife and I wanted to try someone place different this evening. We had never been to this restaurant before and the atmosphere was very nice. The décor is beautiful if you like the older look, which is my wife's favorite. I also very much liked that they had cigars available and their selection of liquor was also larger than most places. Their wine by the glass list was very small and expensive even for upper end establishments. The wine by the bottle list was laughable in its expense. I am not above paying 200 for a bottle of wine but I am not paying 150 dollars for a bottle that costs 50 in the store. I am used to double the price in restaurants but not triple. I would also like to add that I have worked in fine dinning for over 6 years when I was much younger and sticker shock is not something that effects me often. The food price is to be expected for a place of this level, what did surprise me is that the food was very bland. The charcutier board was very basic but good, the cheese selection was nothing that can't be found at the store. The Caesar salad was grilled but had edges that were brown prior to grilling. The dressing was drizzled and was not adequate for the lettuce. I would have asked for more but the service did not check on us for the salads, entrée or dessert until we were just wanting to box and move on. My wife's steak was very good and perfectly cooked. We did find it odd they sliced the steak for presentation but that is more of a preference. The rabbit dish that was served to myself was severely bland. The desert was cobbler that was supposed to be drizzled with a lemon onglaze which it was not. The cobbler was filled with bitter berries and nothing sweet to counter the flavor. The cake portion was dense and flavorless to a point that we both ate only one bite. Surprisingly not a single person asked why we barely ate our dinner or dessert. The management did visit other tables but not ourselves. I do not think we will return.

    You walk in the door and are transformed by the beauty and lovely setting. Service was warm and friendly and attentive. We especially loved our charcuterie appetizer. A wonderful and transformative evening after a stressful day.

    Beautiful dining room! Pleasant views outside the windows. Waiter was excellent. Suggested wines to accompany meals. Salad was tasty, and unique, soup was rich and wonderful. Meals were wonderful. Served hot and beautiful plating. Dessert was excellent. Fresh and full of flavor. Everything was beyond our expectations. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the waiter had the kitchen put Happy Birthday on the plate with icing. Nice touch! Take a sweater or jacket, the room is well air conditioned!

    Wonderful, quiet, private, small yet not confining, upscale atmosphere wherein the clearly skilled and experienced waiting staff offer a dining experience both contemporarily comfortable and reminiscent of the full-service resort habits of yesteryear. A wiser man than this patron once imparted the wisdom that “an establishment that truly values its customers need not say so directly, but will demonstrate the fact through service and attentiveness”, and the Terrace Room at Williamsburg Inn exemplifies this vision of hospitality.

    Ambience is perfect. Assistant servers were excellent! Food great! Had a lot of trouble finding my server to get the bill. Had to ask the manager. Then I couldn’t find the server to pay. I don’t think this should happen in an establishment like the Terrace Room.

    The atmosphere is very nice. The staff was terrific, friendly, helpful-just great. I had the pork tenderloin and it was cooked exactly the way I asked for it to be cooked. It was tender and tasty. It came with roasted brussel spouts that were delicious. My wife had the salmon and it too was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The wait staff was very attentive. We shared the crème brûlée which was also very good. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend the Inn to everyone. For such a good meal, the price was very reasonable.

    Our annual anniversary dinner was spectacular! Great meal, nice variety on the menu, and excellent, highly professional service. Dessert (berry cobbler) was delicious! Bar staff good, but one bartender not as good (or as friendly) as the other.

    We were in Williamsburg to celebrate our 35th anniversary, which is where we also had our honeymoon. Everything about the Terrace Room was fantastic, including the waitstaff, ambiance and food. They went beyond our expectations!

    Our anniversary dinner was made even better by our servers and the staff at the Williamsburg Inn. The food, as expected, was excellent. The Terrace Room has been redecorated and returned to most of its former glory with subtle tones, traditional furniture and small design elements that remind you you’re in Colonial Times.     Good experience overall. Charred asparagus salad was good followed by grilled salmon on risotto, which was tasty, well prepared and presented. The wine list is decent, but the markup is more than is typical for this level of dining. Overall, a big improvement over our meal here in September 2022.

    Hostess (youngish female) was very unfriendly and snooty - refused to seat us at a chosen table that stayed empty the entire time we were there and she did not offer us any other choice either. A poor first impression. Oyster app was outrageously expensive 4 tiny oysters for $18.00. Otherwise the food and service was very good Brussels Sprouts app and Crab Cake entree were really good. Our waiter (young guy from Turkey) was great.
