Terra Plata Ratings and Reviews
I went there to celebrate my Bday alone. The personal was SOOOOOO NICE. They made me feel like part of the team. Love the place. I specially liked the octopus with bacon and beans. It got a eclectic homie vive. Love it would highly recommended. The price is on the higher end but well worth it.
A good farm to table type restaurant. Noise level good, service was excellent (though we were not in a hurry...but they did know we were making a show and paced accordingly). The Brussels sprouts were awesome. We did try their signature roast pig which was quite tender but a little on the heavy side (it was in a heavy almost “greasy” gravy.....quite flavorful though.
Good wine list and good dessert selection.
Have always had a great experience at Terra Plata! This one was no different. The hostess welcomed us even though we were almost two hours early for our reservation and made us very comfortable at the bar. She came back twice to offer us tables as available. Dining at the bar was great. The bartender was very genuine and the service was excellent. We ordered a ton of food and a great bottle and felt both charmed and at ease. Even our menu modifications and pickiness with wine was received warmly and without an eye roll. It was a low key but important night and they made it memorable and happy expereince for us. Thank you!
Food was fine. Service was terrible. We were ignored most of the time. Part of order never came out, when we asked about it they said it would be out soon. Then it came out when we were completely done with our meals.
Couldn’t get coffee or water refills. Server seemed almost annoyed when we politely reminded her we didn’t receive part of our order. I haven’t had service like this in Seattle in a long time. It wasn’t even very busy. I don’t mind if things get messed up, it’s how you handle the mistake that makes all the difference.
Terra Plata remains a reliable constant on ever evolving Seattle dining scene. This time around, I chose a duck breast over a chanterelle risotto and roasted vegetables side. The meat was done just right and tasted wholesome, yet chewy as it should. My out of town guests embraced and enjoyed their first Terra Plata experience as well. I paired duck breast with a glass of Grenache, which many may object, but I thoroughly enjoyed the pairing.
Great food as always here. We made a reservation for the rooftop for a beautiful, sunny October evening. The heaters were more than enough to stay warm (actually had to have them turn the things off at one point!). The food was fantastic and our server, Victoria, was a kick.
High quality and well executed however very little stood out from the flavor of the food, to the service or to the drinks. The highlights were the roasted pork (probably the best pork shoulder I've ever had) and the ambiance and decor was wonderful but I was hoping for more at this price. I would like to try again in case the stars just didn't align that night.
Lovely restaurant with very romantic rooftop outdoor seating! Delicious menu and terrific service. Can't say enough good things about this place. Great value and wonderful for a special occasion or a romantic date or evening gathering with friends. Will definitely be back!
Atmosphere on the roof top was awesome. Super cool. Food was okay, would not get what we got again. Service was terrible. I asked for another drink before our meal came out and it never showed. She made everyone else do her errands and check on us because she was clearly to busy with her side work. Pricier than expected for brunch and a drink. Not sure id go back or recommend to others.
Our first time at Terra Plata was a great success. Roast pig and black cod both excellent. Nice wine list. Great service. We celebrated a birthday with cocktails, bottle of wine, after dinner drinks. With tip, $250 for 2. Not sure why an ounce of whiskey costs quite so much but that's true everywhere.
I went on a double date for a friend's birthday. They called me the day of the reservation to ask the birthday person's name and if we wanted to be added to the list for the rooftop (which you should definitely do!!)
When we arrived, the hostess escorted us to our table, under ample heat lamps to stay warm in the cooler weather.
The menus had "Happy Birthday NAME" at the top (included her actual name). Such a sweet touch!!
Food was delicious and all very good for sharing. The only complaint was the bar was a bit slow. Would definitely go back, especially for a romantic cozy night on the roof. ❤️
Service was excellent, food portions and overall experience with food did not match price. I prefer a beet salad to have more than three cubes of beets in them.
The pork chorizo with clams had so many ligaments and vessels sticking out, I wasn't sure what I was eating. A cleaner cut would have been nice since it was hard to see what I was eating with all the other flavors and accents to the menu item.
Great ambience, excellent service.
I had high expectations for Terra Plata and was excited to show up on a Friday evening to sit on the amazing upstairs patio on a glorious Seattle evening. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint, but our service was exceedingly lackluster. Extensive wait times, rushed interactions and a lot of general ignoring going on from the wait staff. It made an otherwise memorable experience very disappointing.
I am very disapointed with the overall experiece. I thoght it was a great place given the reviews and the peice but it was not. We got seated in a corner next to the kitchen so our view were waiters coming in and out of the kitchen, sonit was not very pleasant. We wanted to share the dishes and we asked the waiter about one of them because we wanted to know if ot was spicy at all since one of is very intolerant to spicy food. The waiter tomd us it was not spicy at all ot it turned put to be super spicy. To be jones the plates are over priced for what they were and I wouldn't recomend this place since you can get really good food somewhere else for that price.
Food was great, but service meh. Our server knew it was a special occasion, and that we would be ordering tapas style throughout the evening, but I had to specifically make eye contact with him as he moved around other tables, in order to bring him back to us. We didn't want or expect hovering, but also didn't need to have to keep looking for him all night. That said, he was perfectly lovely when he did deign to stop by, and everything else was great.
