We came on Valentines Day for dinner. I made reservations online via OpenTable. Quick and easy process. I got a call from the restaurant the day prior to confirm our reservation.
When we arrived we noticed that our hostess wasn't overly friendly, just enough to greet but we could sense she wasn't genuine.
Our server, R. S. provided some really bad service. Intrusive, abrupt and not welcoming. I can understand it is a busy night but still, it is her job to interact with diners and she had no professionalism at all that night. We were courteous and friendly the whole night to her but her attitude never changed.
I'm always a 20% tipper but 15% more than sufficed for the service we received.
This was my second time at this restaurant. The Brussels Sprouts are a must to order. We also ordered the ceviche and the lamb meatballs. The ceviche was just okay and the lamb meatballs had a good flavor but they were rubbery and was disappointed with this choice. The service was very good and the restaurant has a nice ambiance. We did let the server know about the meatballs and she thanked us for the feedback and comp’d my dessert. We were there on valentine’s day ...they had a fresh red rose at each table...nice touch. This is also a convenient restaurant for Paramount Theater goers....which is why we were there. They were very attuned to getting us out on time to attend the show.
Party of four old folks celebrating a couple of 70+ birthdays went to Terra Plata on a Monday evening for dinner. Our dining experience was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the paella 🥘. We shared a brussel sprout tapa which was fantastic, and a delicious apple salad but the both were just not big enough! Fun delish night out!
Overall the food was exceptional and the ambiance was perfect for our occasion. When we were presented the menu, it read "Happy Birthday Martin" across the top of it, which was a first for us. The birthday man's food came out late because of a mix-up with the orders and our waitress was friendly toward the baby, but not so friendly toward us, but that didn't ruin our experience. I would return if ever given the opportunity.
Why do I keep coming back here? Food, location, and service! I cannot say enough about the service. Took my parents here who don’t know good food or wine but the server walked them through the menu and suggested wine they would like. They even let them taste the wine before making a decision which is great for people who aren’t sure or are too nice to say they don’t like something! :)
Went for Sunday brunch to celebrate my 50th. They printed a happy birthday to me personally at the top of our menus and we had exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff! Loved them all Georgia and Victoria were the loveliest and we had fun sharing the cuteness of my 2 year old nephew with them. We tried a bit of everything on menu and all was great! The manchego biscuit, OMG. Thanks for making my birthday gathering fun!
May have been due to our late reservation (9:30) but we were kind of rushed into the restaurant and given no introduction to the not very straightforward menu. The waitress was very curt when I asked questions about the format which was sort of annoying considering we were one of only 4 parties in the place at the time.
Food however was really good. Got the frites (ok), carrots (really good) and the roasted pig (f***ing amazing). I would go back for roasted pig alone. Big serving that could easily be shared among 2
We had the BEST time at Terra Plata for New Year's Eve. Our servers were absolutely fabulous. Restaurant had great ambiance and was warm, which is a big deal for me. The food was delicious and unique. Just before midnight they handed out party hats and noise makers and we all headed up to the roof for a champagne toast. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and we are sure to return.
Had dinner on NYE. Menu was interesting and the food was very well prepared and presented. The "chips" were fabulous. The lamb was exceptional. Portions were hearty and filling. The staff attentive but not intrusive. Enjoyed our dining experience and met interesting people sitting around us. At midnight, we had complimentary champagne with accompanying hats and noisemakers. Definitely a place we will dine in again when we are next in Seattle.
We came here for the first time to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Amazing food, wine and ambiance. Our server was so efficient and very knowledgeable about the menu. They had a seasonal wine that I have been trying to find for over 6 months. Every part of this experience was perfection for us and an amazing way to celebrate the new year.
This was our first time at Terra Plata. And our first time choosing a restaurant based only on Open Table's ratings and reviews...and did we ever hit a home run! The service was fantastic! Thank you, Ritu, for taking such good care of us! And the food was amazing! Please give the brussel sprouts a try...you won't be disappointed. We will be back very soon!
