May have been due to our late reservation (9:30) but we were kind of rushed into the restaurant and given no introduction to the not very straightforward menu. The waitress was very curt when I asked questions about the format which was sort of annoying considering we were one of only 4 parties in the place at the time.
Food however was really good. Got the frites (ok), carrots (really good) and the roasted pig (f***ing amazing). I would go back for roasted pig alone. Big serving that could easily be shared among 2
We had the BEST time at Terra Plata for New Year's Eve. Our servers were absolutely fabulous. Restaurant had great ambiance and was warm, which is a big deal for me. The food was delicious and unique. Just before midnight they handed out party hats and noise makers and we all headed up to the roof for a champagne toast. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and we are sure to return.
Had dinner on NYE. Menu was interesting and the food was very well prepared and presented. The "chips" were fabulous. The lamb was exceptional. Portions were hearty and filling. The staff attentive but not intrusive. Enjoyed our dining experience and met interesting people sitting around us. At midnight, we had complimentary champagne with accompanying hats and noisemakers. Definitely a place we will dine in again when we are next in Seattle.
We came here for the first time to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Amazing food, wine and ambiance. Our server was so efficient and very knowledgeable about the menu. They had a seasonal wine that I have been trying to find for over 6 months. Every part of this experience was perfection for us and an amazing way to celebrate the new year.
This was our first time at Terra Plata. And our first time choosing a restaurant based only on Open Table's ratings and reviews...and did we ever hit a home run! The service was fantastic! Thank you, Ritu, for taking such good care of us! And the food was amazing! Please give the brussel sprouts a try...you won't be disappointed. We will be back very soon!
Terra Plata offers a Great location and casually elegant dining. We love this restaurant which is located on "hip" Capitol Hill". This is a casually elegant place where guests are welcomed by the friendly staff and treated to locally sourced craft food and drinks
We had a fantastic experience at Terra Plata for my friend's birthday! We went for Paella night and they wrote "Happy Birthday" on the menu for her. The staff was warm, the food delicious and the wine tasty! Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again!
A wonderful experience that began with the reservation follow-up (inquiring as to the "occasion" noted on the online reservation in order to make it special). A call to let them know we were running late was accepted graciously and when we did arrive we were warmly greeted by both the hostess and our server, who took excellent care of us -- accommodating my (annoying) dietary restrictions and offering fantastic suggestions for what to order. The food was delicious, the service exceptional. House-made potato chips were DIVINE. The risotto, perfection. My dining partner thoroughly enjoyed the brussel sprouts and duck roast. And dessert...OMG...the chocolate caramel peanut bar took us over the moon. We cleaned every morsel off every dish. I can't wait to return and do it all over again!
I went there to celebrate my Bday alone. The personal was SOOOOOO NICE. They made me feel like part of the team. Love the place. I specially liked the octopus with bacon and beans. It got a eclectic homie vive. Love it would highly recommended. The price is on the higher end but well worth it.
A good farm to table type restaurant. Noise level good, service was excellent (though we were not in a hurry...but they did know we were making a show and paced accordingly). The Brussels sprouts were awesome. We did try their signature roast pig which was quite tender but a little on the heavy side (it was in a heavy almost “greasy” gravy.....quite flavorful though.
Good wine list and good dessert selection.
Have always had a great experience at Terra Plata! This one was no different. The hostess welcomed us even though we were almost two hours early for our reservation and made us very comfortable at the bar. She came back twice to offer us tables as available. Dining at the bar was great. The bartender was very genuine and the service was excellent. We ordered a ton of food and a great bottle and felt both charmed and at ease. Even our menu modifications and pickiness with wine was received warmly and without an eye roll. It was a low key but important night and they made it memorable and happy expereince for us. Thank you!
