It doesn’t get much better than having a Spanish brunch on Terra Plata’s rooftop garden in Capitol Hill. We like it for Monday night paella too.
If you have a chance to hit Terra Plata on a day where the weather cooperated, the rooftop deck is a must. Otherwise, the bar is cozy and long and the interior tables are cozy. Make a rese, though, this place books out.
We enjoyed our meal but dishes came far to quickly. Received dessert in the middle of our mains and still had half a bottle of wine left when cheque came. Felt like they were trying to push us through, yet the restaurant was only half full by the time we left.
Lovely spot for a weekly date night.
Enjoyed a nice dinner during Restaurant Week - a very good value. The food was delicious, and the service very professional and pleasant. We like the "land to table" ethic they convey. We sat at the counter, which was okay - but the counter faces onto the bar, and not directly onto the kitchen, which is further back.
Terra Plata was recommended to us by a friend who had lived in Seattle, and the recommendation was spot on. Its location in the Capitol Hill neighborhood was perfect, and the setting was both comfortable and elegant. The food choices were well rounded for all tastes, and uniquely prepared. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Would definitely go again.
Excellent service and food quality. My guest was not a local and he loved it. Thank you
Attentive service, delicious/fresh/interesting menu. Would definitely recommend.
Best meal ever. The churros are the truth
We really appreciated the gracious accommodation of one of our guest’s special requests. Victoria, our server, was both professional and warm. The bartender personally came to the table to check if we liked our drinks (we did!).
We went for Easter Brunch. It was noted on OpenTable that they would be serving in addition to their regular brunch menu Easter specials. We walked in and were seated quick enough and had a rather grumpy waiter ask us what we wanted to drink. We ordered coffees. The waiter returned set the coffees down and asked what we wanted. We had not even looked at the menu yet, asked about the Easter Specials to which the reply was THERE ARE NO SPECIALS. and walked away as we were not ready. WE never saw him again, we had a new waitress come to the table to take our order. By then we were ready. She came back with coffee and started to pour into the cups. One was decaf coffee and we stated wait wait wait,,, thats decaf. To which she exclaimed, Well I dont know that!!! Very awkward. To make a long story short, food was
mediocre and the service just fell flat. Very disappointing as it was Easter and we had many places to choose from to eat at.
Terra Plata was a great location with fab ambiance and delicious food.
We were in Seattle for a brief family reunion. My son knew of terra plata from a previous trip. The very thoughtful host reseated us after initially being seated at a table next to the open kitchen and doorway to the cleaning area. Our waiter was very friendly and made good recommendations about the menu and wine. We all tried different cocktails and all were very pleased. We ordered the grilled peppers, mussels, risotto, pork and halibut. All delicious. Can’t wait to stop in again next time we’re in Seattle.
Fantastic! Very creative and fresh (seasonal) dishes, all created for sharing. Everything we ordered was fantastic, and often the dishes were quite creative; very interesting (and wonderful) ingredient marriages. Fit for Foodies!!!
Another great visit to Terra Plata, this time for my daughter's 23rd. As with every time here, the service was perfection, the food elicited gasps from everyone at the table, and the wine and cocktail selection was wonderful. The carrots! the brussels sprouts! the halibut! and the desserts...leave room, if you can! I absolutely love this place and return every chance i get.
Accommodated our large group with our own pre selected menu. Everything tasted amazing and the whole experience was wonderful!
Amazing food, amazing people, amazing environment. Every time.
Might be nice to have more “other” options on paella night.
Way too noisy and food too salty. Won’t be going back.
After I got in, I found it is neighbor of Starbucks reserve roasted &tas. After lunch we can start our Starbucks tour as quick as possible. Awesome! surprise! The food is my style! Mussels is so fresh actually like from farm to table. It stew with some sauerkraut. Pretty delicious! I almost drinked up soup while I ate up mussels. I ordered French fried as well. It is French fried but a little special. I like it. My daughter ordered steak. Too small piece! It might be because of lunch beef.
Decent Brunch. Worth going back, especially for the rooftop seating.
Really great time. The server knew of our allergies and checked on the things we wanted to order. Food was generally good, we did small plates and a couple of the dishes were slightly bland while others were done so well we should have ordered 2.
Superb food and ambiance. A new favorite restaurant.
Great location! Rustic look and perfect brunch 👍
Excellent creative food!
Great farm to table eats! 😊👍🏽
Wonderful dinner. Delicious and interesting
We really like this restaurant. The ambience is great. The food is creative and delicious. The service staff is always friendly and attentive. On our third visit, the kitchen was a bit slower, but everything worked out.
Excellent experience 😍
Terra Plata was an amazing experience. They were so thoughful and accommodating as we were heading to the theater. They ensured we were on time but we never felt rushed. We shall be back!
Terra Plata is a neighborhood gem. I took friends for dinner there Wednesday night, and they raved about the wine and food.....small and large plates. Even the next day they called to thank me again and ask when we could go again.......next time they would pay. Don’t miss visiting Terra Plata, you’ll be glad you did!
We went for the Monday paella and pinxtos special - not impressive. The paella was more like an over-seasoned rice pilaf with seafood, than a true paella. Pinxtos were small fusion plates that were hit or miss. And service was mediocre.
Excellent food good prices and good ambiance
Terra Plata was a great dining experience. Food was delicious and the drinks were good. I loved the ambiance of the place and how central it was. Would definitely come again.
Rare date night into Seattle. Terra plata was recommended by a friend. Definitely recommend this place.
It's loud, but not any louder than you'd expect an excellent, popular restaurant to be. The food is always topnotch. We've been in for brunch and dinner many times and it's always delicious.
Wonderful brunch. Stopped in on the way to the theatre. Food was delicious and quick. Service was friendly and attentive.
The beets and pork were excellent as were the cocktails the steak excellent but really small. The burrata was a huge failure ,the peppers and fries were good. All and all not bad but a little pricey
Oh my, what a phenomenal dining experience! Every part of of meal was exceptional from Shishito peppers to octopus to Brussels sprouts. Our entree was Black Cod..oh wow! Don’t forget dessert, as we had churros with chocolate sauce. Every detail was taken care of from start to finish. We will visit again to enjoy this wonderful restaurant!
