The roof was plenty warm. The food was very good—bigger servings than I remember from previous visits.

The Paella was outstanding, generous quantity of fresh seafood, flavorful rice caramelized perfectly. Don't pass on dessert, their Churros are the best in town. Attentive service, as always. Terra Plata's roof top heaters ensure comfort, even on a winter evening, very comfortable for our entire party.

Roasted Pig was amazing. Everything else (prawns, brussel sprouts, aguadito) was mediocre and was lacking flavor.

Loved the food - everything was delicious. We ate a lot! The Corvina dish was particularly memorable.

The service was also excellent- especially in trying Covid times. Precautions were appropriate and everyone was masked and taking care. The servers were very friendly and the ambience low key and fun. Food came out at a good speed.

Would definitely go back!

Terra Plata just might have the best outdoor seating set up in Seattle, including excellent heaters that will keep you warm during the coldest evenings dining out. The food is outstanding with each dish perfectly flavor-balanced.
On the evening we dined, the outdoor area was packed even with pandemic restrictions, perhaps slowing down the service, particularly drinks, but it was understandable and not a problem unless you are terribly impatient.
The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars instead of 4 is that the prices do prevent me from going there as often as I would like. They are a bit over a certain threshold. That said, I will go back once every few months instead of every month as I would prefer, unless I'm feeling flush.
I definitely recommend it.

My friend and I went for their birthday dinner and when I made the reservation, the hostess had asked if were celebrating anything in particular. I mentioned it was my friend’s birthday and when we arrived for dinner, our menu’s had a personalized Happy Birthday message on them and the dessert we ordered had a candle. They were small touches but it made the experience so much more lovely, especially during a time when dining out is not the same as it use to be. Everything else was exceptional and we felt safe sitting in screen-proofed areas.

Walked three miles to get to restaurant. Rewarded with very pleasant evening.

Love the experience at Terra Plata always. Had a special Valentines meal. Food was excellent and the Covid set up felt welcome because I’m so thankful the restaurant can survive and allow people back in.

Overall good night. Food and service was a little slow, and our appetizers were forgotten, especially as I thought we were only allotted 90 minutes for our reservation, but once we got it it was delicious!

Relaxing and delicious

One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! They have a fabulous COVID-safe setup on their rooftop. I always greatly appreciate their attention to detail calling before the reservation date checking in on special occasions, seating preferences, etc. They definitely go above and beyond in their customer service. The 90-minute dining window was perfect for us but if any table goes over, it does cause a delay in the next seating. (Our table was ready 15-minutes later than scheduled). With that said, you can tell that the waitstaff is doing their absolute best to safely turn around tables. I appreciate the space heaters, offer to use blankets, and having hand sanitizer on the table. The food is always so delicious and fresh. Will definitely be back!

Can you imagine sitting at second story level noticing things you don't usually see such as the Pelican on Taylor Shellfish, then being seated under very warm heat lamps with excellent service by Lucinda, fresh cocktails and then scrumptious food? And every once in a while deluges of rain on the coverings overhead.
We had a fine fine. Everyone should be so lucky.

It was a bit cold outside but they tried to make it as comfortable as possible with the heaters and that was much appreciated.

We learned 1.5 hours isn't enough time, but I totally understand restaurants need to set a timeline. Due to the timeline, it felt like they avoided anything that might add time: One of our party finished their cocktail prior to entrees but was never asked if she wanted another drink; we weren't asked if we wanted dessert, even though I told the restaurant it was a birthday dinner celebration (and we were at our time limit before entrees were even cleared). Our waiter was attentive, friendly, calm and patient, but watching all the staff in action they seemed overwhelmed. My guess is the timeline is tough on them, too, as they were go-go-go working their tails off--or maybe understaffed? Either way, the above misses were no fault of the staff. Food really varied: Some was good (arugula salad, brussel sprouts), some ok (burger), and some not good (beef brisket was gross--smothered in BBQ sauce, super tough, bland potatoes--and the steak sandwich had a tendon throughout so partially inedible, but the non-tendon parts were good)). Prices vary from good (burger, wine) to overpriced (brisket), though overpriced items could've been shared (e.g., $16 arugula salad), which would've been good to know. Their COVID set up, however, is fantastic: Very safe (no walls so there's airflow; plastic partitions between tables; distancing), comfortable (heaters above each table, big roof so you're not hit by rain, high walls so wind isn't too bad), and great ambiance with lighting and plants. It was too bad we had so little time as we would've liked to stay for another drink and dessert. I'd go back because their COVID setup is awesome, but I'll order differently next time.

The food was great; the service was great! I don’t know how we had yet to discover this cap hill gem with the perfect rooftop ambiance! In a time where dining options are very limited due to covid, Terra Plata met all our expectations and more! Highly recommend for your next date night or happy hour with friends! We will surely be back!

The outdoor seating is fantastic! The only issue in the beginning was that I had reserved a table at 7:30 and wasn’t seated until 8. However, we ended up getting an amazing table so we didn’t mind having to wait. The food was great, the tables were nicely spaced, and there were plenty of heaters. I had a wonderful experience.

The reservations were made for my bestfriends 30th birthday! The food and drink was great but a little pricey for the portions. Also, even with the heaters the outdoor dining area was still very chilly!

Ate on the ground floor despite making a reservation for the rooftop deck (not a big deal, they asked if we minded). Shared a starter and two mains in our party of 2. Plenty of food. Very good service, attentive but not overbearing. Staff volunteered and provided a space heater since we were seated right next to the sidewalk (not exactly outside, but not really inside either). My first time dining here, although I've had takeout several times since the pandemic. Very good quality and a nice experience.

Wonderful food. Had heard about this place for years and finally went the other week with my wife for her bday dinner. It was as good as people had always told me and I look forward to going there again. Just delicious.
