We went for anniversary and they greeted us with two glasses of champagne and a menu with an anniversary greeting on top. The food was delicious and the service was warm and prompt. Even the hostess was attentive to our needs. It's a bit spendy so I'd go again on another special occasion.
We always enjoy the "Farm to Table" cuisine. Terra Plata was no exception; the chef is ingenious. We ordered the small plate format and enjoyed all the dishes. The Brussels sprouts, octopus and sweet potato were excellent.
Outstays food and attentive and informative service.
One of my favorite places to take clients but I can't go regularly because it's expensive.
Absolutely awesome restaurant. We loved it! The menu pushes some boundaries and does it very successfully!
And the burger was hands down one of the best burgers we have ever eaten. Wow.
5 stars !!
Started with some frites that were absolutely delicious with the aoli dip along with a glass of bubble.. the clams n mussels in a broth were also very nice but I was expecting a different twist to this as I read much about Terra Plata. Overall it was good and yes! Excellent service with vibrant ambiance ( there were usual dates and then office lunches) ! Keep it up guys!!
The charcuterie platter was outstanding. I chose the duck and it was superb. Their Tempranillo was only ok; I would chose a different red.
The small plates option was so amazing. All 6 of us got to taste the incredible food (true farm to table) combinations. Unique, foodie menu with a home cooked feel.
The ambiance says “community and warmth”!
The wine list was beyond my expectations.
Awesome food and service! Been there many times and I've never been disappointed.
A delightful experience across all three standards normally used to measure a restaurant: its ambiance, service, and food. We followed our very kind and attentive server’s recommendations—all excellent. And we occupied our table for several hours with nothing but caring service. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
Each one of your staff was kind, nice, polite...just great people. The one thing that was bothersome was the overall timing of getting our order as well as getting our drink orders in and served. For a lesser restaurant than yours, we'd be just a little bit bothered, though we'd probably not frequent the establishment much. But we feel that Terra Plata should be held to a higher standard because it is a wonderful restaurant (food, ambiance, service 85% of the times that we've been there). Upon being seated, we'd expect to have our drink orders taken within maybe 5 minutes and to then get our drinks SHORTLY after that (five minutes max, most likely). We'd then be ready to get a rundown of the menus and possibly order our food upon being served our first drinks if not a few more minutes after that. We'd also expect to be served our subsequent drink orders soon after ordering them as well.
Thank you for allowing us to give our critical feedback. We still love you.
Great consistent food and ambience! Trendy and delicious for bdays or just a night out.
great for before the show- it was lively, as many others were there. The food we ordered was great- very flavorful and tastefully prepared. Service was amazing.
$40 for 6 slices of over cooked rib eye. The quality of the meat was really disappointing, nothing different from the rib eyes I can get at QFC.
Wonderful all around. Casual, not pretentious, but great food. 4 dishes including one meat/ entree was enough for a light meal for two. We had octopus.:.so tender. A mushroom dish had a “cheese mousse” that was light but flavorful. Brussel sprouts were awesome but warning, they are deep fried. Goat was cooked just right. Portions are on the smaller side. Had room for dessert. The churros were made just for you and had a great dipping sauce. Decadent having fried bread hot and fresh.
Meeting a friend from out of town
There are a number of things I like on the menu here, yet I often walk away feeling like my meal came up a little shy. Maybe it’s just that what I’m imagining from the description on the menu just doesn’t meet the dish I received.
I’ve eaten enough awesome things that I’ll come back, but it just isn’t quite the home run restaurant I want it to be.
The quality and creativity of every course was outstandingly high. This is one of Seattle’s very finest restaurants, and we will enthusiastically recommend it to friends.
This place is amazing. Great food and terrific low key vibe.
Noise level is high. My dining companion and I had to yell to be hear each other.
The venue is hip, the food was delicious, service was gracious and fairly attentive for a very busy night, but not sure I’d return, just too loud.
Terra Plata is one of those restaurants that you can always count on to give you a wonderful dining experience. The flavors and ingredients are familiar but there’s always something unexpected and surprising. Even during a busy night during restaurant week, the team of servers are friendly and attentive and the cooks and chefs ensure everything is just right. Tamara Murphy and her team will make you feel like family and you will never want to leave!!!
We went for Seattle Restaurant week -- they had a 3 course meal with vegan options for all courses! Was quite tasty.
We ate during Seattle Restaurant Week and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Sometimes service can be either overbearing or nonexistent but at Terra Plata it was spot on. Food was deliciously prepared and served hot, their brussel sprouts are delicious. Lamb shanks were mouthwatering and dessert (baked apple) was yummy. We will definitely return.
Drinks, food and service were great. We like the space as well, but give low marks for the greasy, burnt kitchen smell. Fan not working??? Price is high for what you get.
Thank you! I had an amazing birthday celebration at Terra Plata. They even printed out my name on the menus for my group of 12. Excellent service as always. My go-to restaurant & I will be back!
Order was messed up, table behind us was extremely vulgar and loud, food was ok at best.
Great service, wonderful food!
We have dined at Terra Plata several times. We have always been pleased with the quality of food and service.
Did the Restaurant Menu and had the vegan and gluten-free options - all were delicious! Incredible meal and fantastic, attentive service. Highly recommend.
The three of us ordered different lunches and shared. Every bite was fantastic, well seasoned, different and fresh. We will be back soon’
This was a Seattle Restaurant Week offering - $20 lunch $35 dinner. However, there was no lunch menu offered for Restaurant Week, just their standard menu. With less than 15 people dining at noon, we cannot pass of the inattentive, mediocre service to being overcrowded. Disinterested come to mind.
The menu choices were uninspired, but our selections had little to complain about, other than the price. A $20 burger was just okay and came only with a handful of waffle-cut chips. A $16 autumn veggie sandwich was vaguely more interesting but smaller than the burger, same chips as an accompaniment.
The emptiness of the place on a beautiful Thursday at lunch probably says more about the place than this review. What was appealing about it online could not be found in person. Maybe a bit like online dating.
Too noisy, but otherwise everything I would want for a lovely night out.
My wife and I ate here during Seattle Restaurant week and enjoyed every dish. Great meal and experience at a great price!
The creamy onion soup appetizer was memorable, as were the boneless roast lamb and the vegetarian cassoulet. The cocktail was interesting, though perhaps a bit weak; the wine was modestly priced and well chosen. The chocolate parfait and olive oil cake with sorbet desserts were fine but not standouts.
A delightful discovery on the west side of Capital Hill.
I wish I had discover this restaurant earlier. Great value during Seattle Restaurant Week.
We went to restaurant week on paella night, which was fantastic!
We loved it great aeevice
This place was wonderful! The food was delicious and the staff very capable and lovely. Ty!
The ambiance is amazing! The service was very good. Staff was very friendly and professional. I appreciated it that you put for my son "Happy Birthday" on the menu. The menu is very limited. I don't eat eggs unless they are vegetable quiches or frittata. I like crepes and swedish pancakes. I like traditional pancakes. I like seafood so I was hoping you would have the shrimp salad. I didn't have too many options so I ate the burger and my friend who is GF ate the scrambled eggs. I would recommend Terra Plata for drinks but probably not for a meal.
