About Terra Mia
At Terra Mia Restaurant ("my land" in Italian) we carefully prepare our dishes using only the freshest ingredients. Our food is made from scratch, like the trattorias and ristorantes in the South of Italy. We make all efforts to purchase organic and locally grown produce and meats, to preserve the flavor and quality of our dishes. We strongly support the SLOW FOOD movement organization, which began in Italy in 1986. The nature of this group is to protect cultural identities linked to food and traditions. Also, for our customers to "slow down" and learn to enjoy meals while spending quality time with family and loved ones. We are located in the Chardonnay Shopping Center near downtown Livermore and popular wineries. Owned and operated by first generation Italians.

Terra Mia Ratings and Reviews
We don't always go to Terra Mia but when it's a special occasion we almost always do. The food is great, but Francesco always makes us feel so special and like family. Francesco actually brought a red rose for my wife Tina to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day - such a thoughtful and classy move.
Love Francesco like family.
DISGUSTING! Waiter couldn’t remember order. Brought me wrong thing. Returned w/what I originally asked for. Food had absolutely NO taste. Charged $9 for Caesar salad appetizer w/4 croutons and old wilted romaine lettuce. I have the pic to show! Food tastes like it came out of a jar
My reservation was at 7:45pm. When we arrived we were told they overbooked and did get seated until 8:15pm. There were s number of couples that had earlier reservations but were still waiting. I suggested to the receptionist that they offer appetizers to all the waiting couples. She said she would check with her Manager but no follow through?
I had a 7:15 reservation as we were not seated until 8. The guests were very rude and loud to everyone including the staff around us which disturbed the overall ambiance. The kitchen forgot about our food and we were barely eating at 9:30, the food was okay but not worth the price. By the time we left the restaurant it was nearly 10:15. When I found out that we had to order from a Valentine’s menu that cost $69 a person, I tried to cancel and was told no due to it being lazy minute. I understood that, but having to wait 45 minutes to finally be seated and not to get any type of discount or free beverages seemed unreasonable. We have been to Tera Mia before and really enjoyed it and thought the food was delicious, but do not plan on coming back for a Valentines dinner.
The restaurant was larger than we expected and nice ambiance. However, we found it to be a little dark and quite loud. Service was very good and staff was friendly. Text on the menu was small and hard to read, especially with the low lighting. Food was okay - nothing special. The prices weren't horrible, but given the overall value for us, we will not be back.
Terra Mia's cuisine was excellent on our first visit and continues to improve with each successive dinner we enjoy there. Even old standards reveal particular attention. For example, gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce were surprising because the gorgonzola does not dominate but instead lets other flavors come through as well. The caponata Siciliana is as robust and authentic as you could hope for. The veal saltimbocca balances the many components more gracefully than in other Italian restaurants
The service is friendly and attentive. Everyone is part of a team that focuses on your comfort and pleasure. Most special requests are cheerfully accommodated.
Terra Mia is not nearby for us, but the dining experience assures us that it is always worth the drive.
Good food. Good service. Always a pleasant experience. Clean bathrooms always a plus. Just wish they would train their staff to not call their guests “guys”. When I dine with my husband he gets aggravated hearing that. Please address your guests appropriately That’s my only negative comment
Very disappointing after reading the reviews. They had to be short staffed last Monday. Food was alright, but not recommended for foodies. Each of us (4) were satisfied with our meal, but nobody raved. The decor is very warm and enticing, but that shouldn't have been the highlight, though, alas, it was.
We were the only group/patrons at the time. They had just opened and the hostess would not allow us to sit where we wanted in front of the fireplace. We had a reservation and no other tables were seated the entire time we were there. It seemed very rude. The food was good. The hostess definitely impacted our experience in a negative way!
We went two years ago and it was wonderful the Gnocchi was like soft little pillows. This time the Gnocchi was like frocks, the polenta e fungi was horrible, the linguine pesto was awful. The only good items were the bruschetta and the lobster bisque. We were at a table of five and as there was four of us after about 45 minutes I had to ask the bus person to remove the service for the fifth person. Our server had so much cologne we had to hold a breath. It is way to bad as this used to be a good place to go.
Went there for New Year's Eve, so it was crowded. We were first seated at a two-top table very close to another table. so we requested another table and were moved to a corner four-top - much more comfortable. The food and service were outstanding. Thank you for a memorable evening.
