Terra Bistro Ratings and Reviews
As always a wonderful meal. We had appetizers, entrees and desert -all were excellent. Our waitress, Katie from North Carolina, went above and beyond to deliver great service with a huge smile! Ask for a table in the round alcove if you want a more intimate atmosphere.
We loved terra bistro. Our waiter Oly was EXCELLENT. He was friendly knowledgeable and knew the answers to all our questions. Pretty impressive in a town wherr service is below par. .our food choices were really delious...the cocktail and wine menu were great..We definitely will be back and will request Oly!
Interesting experience with Open Table app. Our reservation was not handled well by Terra Bistro much to our disappointment. Host staff were confused as to number, 2 or 4? We were shown to a table for 4 in an unacceptable location. While the hostess tried to find other accommodations several parties were seated while we waited. At the same time several tables for two were empty. As locals it was a great disappointment for one of our favorites in Vail.
Went during restaurant week, so entrees were reduced price. Food was outstanding, from the goat cheese appetizer to the trout and steak and the lava cake dessert. Every dish was creatively prepared and aesthetically beautiful. Portions are small but perfect for a 3-course meal (as long as you don't want leftovers). Service was attentive and friendly.
The only Room open when we were there for Labor Day was the larger of the three areas, no ambience at all. Should have had the Creek side open for a Holiday weekend. The food was way too salty, could hardly eat it. Service was indifferent. Very disappointed.
Always a lovely experience and always good food. Our waitress wad very good, but a little over worked. That's probably why it host originally wanted to seat us at a terrible table in the doorway to the back room in order to stagger the load on any one server. But the table we were originally showed to really wasn't acceptable, particularly to regulars, so we asked to be reseated. All in all still a very nice dinner
The Host was very gracious when we arrived for our reservation for two and noticed we were not thrilled with banquette seating. He quickly offered us a lovely table in the back corner of the restaurant as its occupants were about to leave. We were happy to wait for it and he made sure it was ready as soon as possible. Our Waitperson Mina (if I spelled wrong I apologize) took wonderful care of us and graciously accommodated our preferences. Terra Bistro's Chef has done a wonderful job including Plant Based entrees and appetizers that are delicious (and not bland) into the menu. The Bar Staff were also very helpful and friendly! I would happily return to Terra Bistro!
Love the ambience of the mountain room. We enjoyed the food, wine and conversation. The salmon was delicious and the asparagus appetizers crunchy and seasoned perfectly. We felt rushed by our server who approached our table too frequently and interrupted conversation. This is a long time vail favorite and will continue to be so!
Terra Bistro is a great Vail main-stay. They have a great wine list, seasonal, delicious food and the service is solid. I typically like to sit in the back of the restaurant where it's a bit quieter and more intimate, but if you want to people watch, choose a table in the front dining area.
This is a fabulous place! We were greeted warmly at the check-in and taken right away to our table. It is a lovely, warm spot perfect for a special occasion dinner, romantic, or just a really nice dinner out. Our server Andy was very professional, attentive, knowledgable about the menu and ingredients, and overall took great care of us. They have a nice wine and beer selection and the menu has something for every palate. The food is perfectly prepared, beautiful, and very good. Everything was fresh and tasty. If we're in Vail again, we will definitely go back!
We've dined at Terra Bistro before - this visit was a bit disappointing. My date prefers lighter dishes and was under the impression that the menu included a white fish. We were disappointed to see that the only fish options were salmon and trout. The superfood salad was salty and the lettuce cups and beet salad were "tweezer food." I left the restaurant still hungry. Overall, we spent a lot of money and didn't get the value we were expecting.
This is a Vail must-try! We have a home here in the mountains and hold restaurants to a high standard. Terra Bistro did just that. Their unexpected 'bread basket' was a spiced pappadam served with a home-made dahl that was scrumptious. Service was on point. Our waiter and servers were exceptionally knowledgable and accommodating. The local trout was outstanding!!! This is a restaurant worthy of your time and dollars - fab menu with a really local feel.
The restaurant is beautiful, but the prices even for Vail, Co. seem high. Wine prices were marked up considerably higher than most fine dining establishments do. Many were 4X over retail which is quite high.
The food was beautifully plated, but frankly there are better values for the money even here.
