Delicious food. Especially liked the generous crab cake appetizer, grilled tenderloin, grilled shrimp. The fritter dessert - essentially 3 donut hikes with four dipping sauces- was a great cap to the meal

Good food but a bit overpriced and for a Saturday night only 3 tables seated and one couple was there with a Groupon.
My wife had 4 prawns for $44.

I have always found Terra an enchanting scenic, charming, get away for a charming and relaxing evening with an admirable history of its origin. The menu is creatively presented and taste is the quality an epicurean would enjoy. The service staff is attentive and prompt.

Went there for Thanksgiving dinner...me, my wife, and my son. It was a buffet. Seated right away and directed to the buffet area, which was basically in the kitchen. It wasn't very formal, but the servers were helpful and the food was very good. Traditional Thanksgiving dishes all the way around, but high quality. Tables were kind of close, but that did make for a festive atmosphere and that was OK since it was a holiday. Wine selections for the buffet were fine and not too bad pricewise. I looked at the regular wine list and they have some very good bottles. About $100 per person, which is kind of steep, but the overall atmosphere, the service, the food quality, and the particular day we were there (a holiday)...not that bad really. A beautiful spot and nice drive a few miles outside of Santa Fe. I'd recommend.

Wife and I flew in from Texas to enjoy Thanksgiving buffet. It was a worthy experience, the view fantastic; the food was imaginative and delicious. Don’t panic when leaving the main roadway, the resort is a few miles out of the way and secluded. The drive definitely worth it.

It's so hard to maintain a loyal clientele in Santa Fe; the audience is narrow and fickle. That said, and with all due sympathy, the Thanksgiving prix fixe at Terra has deteriorated to a few unimaginative and poorly prepared sides, a turkey breast-not a turkey- some sort of salmon en croute (?) and rock hard oatmeal cookies-yes, cookies for desert. Not even a pumpkin pie. While the service is outstanding-the very best-and the ambiance reasonable, the food is unworthy. Compared to 2015, the last "good" year for Thanksgiving fare at Terra, it was as if the chef had never been to an American-even Southwestern- Thanksgiving dinner before; it must have been a foreign idea as evidenced by hard under-cooked sweet potatoes, soupy mashed potatoes, and "dressing" of some unknown countenance. The prime rib, though overcooked, was inappropriate but decent. And all for $95? Even in Santa Fe, c'mon...

After a long day of travel, we were looking forward to enjoying the Prime Rib Dinner Special upon arrival evening. Reservation was booked online for this event and was confirmed twice on the telephone the day of arrival. An hour before we were to dine, we received a phone call that they had run out of Prime Rib but the first round of drinks was on the house. At dinner, we explained we were not big drinkers, but maybe a complimentary basket of popovers instead. The dinner continued to go downhill with drinks and every course arriving haphazardly. Towards the end of the meal, I inquired about the popovers and in a few minutes our waiter returned with the last 3 (there were 5 in our party) in the kitchen. The menu prices and stated dress code reflect an upscale dining experience. Santa Fe is a bit more casual than the big city, but unfortunately there was a party of 8-10 people that appeared to have come directly from the hiking trail. One man's backside was exposed to the world, which was not very appetizing or polite for the rest of the diners.

We are repeat visitors (Lombardi)and this time invited another couple to join us (Pirone). We were surprised that upon arrival we were told we were upgraded to #21 and they were not #17. We had both booked Delux rooms but were told that the upgrades are only when available.

We did not want an upgrade to the second story. We had to request assistance with the baggage as it was too heavy to carry up to the second floor. No other rooms in that area were available on the ground floor. We also made a request on your app which was not attended to so perhaps some updates are in order electronically.

We were disappointed but still enjoyed our stay as the staff is very accommodating and the setting is tranquil and breathtaking.

We thought this place was fabulous. Maybe the one of the top restaurants in New Mexico. We had a drink on the deck before dinner. Wonderful view. The food was unique and the best of regional American cuisine, creative, original, one of those memorable and thoroughly enjoyable dining experiences where you take it all in. Our waitperson Michael could not have been nicer, and the various other people who brought dishes to us or checked to see how we were doing added a warm touch. Maitre d was sweet and friendly. The whole venue was elegant. We are planning to bring our foodie friends visiting from New York City in a few weeks to Terra.

This restaurant just can’t catch a break. Nice looking place. Courteous staff, though it seems to have been whittled down to a skeleton crew to cut costs. Way too much time between courses. The worst is the food is at best mediocre. The place is empty, which tells the tale. Good news: the bar is THE place to watch sunsets with great margaritas.

Everything was great except the waiter. My husband and I didn't have enough gray hair for him to feel he would get a good tip, I suppose; however, the waitress waiting the tables next to us was very pleasant. Ours wasn't even able to bring the bread before the entrees were served. The view from the patio is amazing at sunset!

Our dinner was good not great. I’ve come to expect more at a Four Seasons restaurant. The restaurant was inviting and the wait staff was attentive. My salmon was a bit on the dry side and not very memorable. My husband had the airline chicken and did enjoy that. We did share Creme brûlée (which was good) and another dessert which I don’t even recall what it was but I do remembering that it was only OK. The best part of dinner was the prickly pear margarita! Another evening we had a private chefs menu in the garden. It was also good but not great. Then another evening we had dinner at Geronimos in Santa Fe and it was SUPERB!

We have eaten here a couple of times. We live near there and it is close. I do like the food. It is fresh and innovative. Our server was wonderful. It was a little late when we went in, so there were only 3 other tables dining....so, the service was great! We will go back.

Very nice place and the food was good. But the food wasn't as good as the price. We went there expecting to pay what we paid but the food seemed like it sat on a counter for awhile after it was prepared. We sat inside and you could see a messy desk in back with a sweater thrown over it. Service was a little dismissive. Given the reputation, I guess this could have been an off night.

The main problem was the service. We were sitting on the deck and had to ask four times to have the shades drawn up so that we and others could see the sunset. (When the waitress finally did raise the shades, everybody in the restaurant stopped what they were doing and started ogling the view, some of them taking photos.) It took forever to get orders taken and long beyond that to have drinks and ultimately food served. The waitress misidentified several items, most egregiously saying that a gazpacho would not be spicy when it patently was too much so for the lady who ordered it based on that suggestion. With service as slow as it was, she did not try to substitute but simply didn't eat it.

One of the reasons for choosing Terra was the pleasantness of the deck. Even with the shades finally up, this was compromised by musak. None would have been best; there were certainly enough diners that the place would not have sounded empty without it. But even if piped music were deemed essential, it did not need to be loud enough to be intrusive, as this sometimes was.

Otherwise, the food was generally quite good of its type, but its type was definitely "resort-hotel menu." There was virtually nothing that spoke (or tasted) of Santa Fe; the same menu could easily have appeared anywhere in the US. Similarly, there was no "farm-to-table" experience. (That said, something like the menu was posted on-line, so we knew what we were getting into.)

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to others unless they are willing to overlook the flaws cited. Other people seemed to be having a pleasant enough time, and in our case the point of the meal was more to get together than for a taste treat, and we enjoyed the evening because of each other.

Does not live up to the quality of other Four Seasons resorts. It is a long way from Santa Fe and is very isolated. In a town, Santa Fe, of extraordinary interest in texture this Four Seasons is a sterile cookie cutter operation

Santa Fe is blessed with so many extraordinary restaurants that there has to be a special reason to travel outside the city for a culinary experience. It was my friend's birthday and she had happy memories of Rancho Encantado. The ambiance is chic minimalist in a barny room. There is a warm greeting from two lovely young women at reception. The server's aid was a truly sweet person, Veronica, who did her job well. Sadly the room was understaffed (a management problem) and the time lapse between starters and entrees painfully slow. The starters were both excellent, a chowder and crab cake. My corvina was so overly spiced that I did not finish it. My friend's lamb chops were fine, although the wine she had ordered did not arrive until we made a point of it (again, understaffed service). The shared dessert of an apple Napoleon was dry and unappealing. The cost for one cocktail, a soda, two starters, two entrees, one dessert and coffee, plus tip and valet tip was $ 200. An understaffed dining room and probably kitchen did not result in a first class experience - not horrible, just not worth the effort or expense.

We have heard good thngs about Terra @ the Four Seasons, and we went there for the first time for Easter Brunch. Given that this was a brunch, our expectations were not that great. Boy, were we surprised! The food was absolutely out of this world, and the service was just as great. They set up the buffet in the kitchen, allowing room for the preparation of customized omelets, made on demand gnocchi, and the prime rib and ham carving station. It was a really nice touch, as we got to interact with the chef and the tremendously competent staff as we made our selections. The gnocchi was a special treat, and I cut my inch thick prime rib with a fork. Every dish, from the house cured smoked salmon to the made to order omelets, to the many veggies had a unique and distinctive flavor. It is expensive, but well worth the price. We will be back!
