Terra @ Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado
The location, food, and service were very good. The only issue is that staff appeared to be short handed and struggled to fine a bottle of wine. When asked about the wine, one person responded, "We don't have a manager, that is why we cannot find your wine!" Yes, they could not find the bottle of wine we wanted, but somehow found a $40 More bottle. This was the only issue that detracted from dinner. We understand they are hiring some new staff, hopefully this will help.
Fantastic experience. Great food. We had a groupon which made it feel like a great deal.
Waiter made two errors in the order. Kitchen had to prepare a second order to correct it, but managed to overcook the tenderloin even though they were working quickly to replace the originally incorrect order. I expected better, and the price demanded better.
Wonderful meal with beautiful views. Perfect.
Amazing service and food. The flat iron steak salad was out of this world delicious!
Sunset was incredible. Once we got over an insect in the margarita, everything was superb. Service was delightful.
The food here is very good. A bit heavy on the meat perhaps, but still good choices for fish and other non-meat entrees. The drinks are also top quality. Worth the trip from Santa Fe proper to this restaurant. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
First time dining at Terra. It was a great meal in very nice surroundings with a beautiful view from the patio.
Excellent food, and service. We spent a nice quiet evening outside enjoying our dinner. It is pricey, but we would visit again.
This outstanding restaurant is a hidden gem. It is the best kept secret in Santa Fe. Only 13 minutes away from town, in the nearby hills of Tesuque, Terra serves four star cuisine at reasonable prices in a beautiful and relaxing environment. I cannot recommend it highly enough, as it puts the local Santa Fe restaurants to shame--and without all that pretense! Well worth a visit, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

We celebrated our anniversary here at Terra. We were greeted warmly by the valet, and the hostess. Our server was Arturo who was knowledgeable and efficient. He was able too answer all of our questions about the menu items. My partner had the unique gazpacho soup with avocado sorbet which had pop rocks in it! It gave a sizzle sound that tricked us for a moment as we knew it was a cold soup but it sounded like it was sizzling hot! Nice twist. Kudos to the chef on that one. I had the chili rellenos with quinoa, beans and veggies. It was plant- based and wonderful. Dessert was churros with four dips and 'Happy Anniversary' written on the serving board. Kyle brought over two complementary glasses of champagne. Because we were made to feel welcome, and enjoyed fabulous food, we will surely return.
We had reserved, a week ago, an outside table. Upon arrival, we were told there was nothing available and we were on stand by. I reiterated that we had been told our outside table was reserved and if it was too hot outside we could sit inside. The hostess immediately accommodated us to our complete satisfaction. I had called the day before and changed our # from 4 to 5, and the time from 1 o’clock to noon. I think they forgot to change the time, because I received a text earlier reminding us of our “1o’clock reservation.” It all worked out and we had a great meal!
We had a lovely birthday dinner for our daughter...the food was delicious, service was great and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset from our patio dining.
This was my first visit to Terra and everything about the experience was outstanding. I will definitely return.
This is a frequently forgotten restaurant in Greater Santa Fe area. It is for sure in top 3 best (with Geronimo and The Compound), yet only 10 minutes North of SF. Their bar service is quite good. Manhattan's perfect (use Taos Lighting RYE!). outside seating is nice, and best just after the sun sets.
It’s beautiful and the service good. My steak was not cooked as I ordered it though and that shouldn’t happen when you are paying that much for your entree.
The table next to us was very loud and they did offer to move us but by that time we were ready to leave.
We are staying at the hotel and the food and service has been excellent for all meals. Also the sunset cant be beat!
Wow. Wow wow wow. Had a wonderful birthday dinner celebration. Gazpacho was amazing. Bison and rack of lamb were outstanding with large portions. Churro dessert was freshly baked and unique. Very creative food preparations. Service was spot on and the sunset view on the patio was great. Pricey but worth every penny.
Great patio dining with a wonderful menu. A bit of a drive from Santa Fe, but worth it.
The gazpacho was by far the best I have ever had!!!
The avocado sorbet was outstanding!!
Service was excellent!! Tofu dry not tasty
I should have had two portions of the gazpacho!!’
Beautiful place and great service, good was very good as was the environment. Just wish there was live music past 8 pm
We had a delightful dining experience pre-opera. The food was absolutely delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the lovely view and the attentive, friendly service. It was perfect!
We used the Travelzoo coupon and enjoyed a marvelous lunch. The food was great and the service excellent. Will return for another lunch or dinner. Thank you Terra and Travelzoo.
The Truffle Fries and house made Onion Rings are to die for
Beautiful room and view with good variety of dishes. The Kobe steak was delicious and for vegetarians the chili relleno was great!
Although the dining room was almost empty, our service was very, very slow.
I ordered the beef tenderloin, to be cooked medium rare. What came was two very thin slices of beef well done. When I asked our waitress why I didn't get a single beef filet cooked medium rare she brushed me off saying that that was the way the chef cooked it. For a $44 or $45 entree I found the explanation as thin as was the beef. Will certainly never go back, although we live in Santa Fe, and will be telling many friends about this unhappy experience. Always a treat to eat at this outstanding restaurant. Wonderful staff, terrific food, attention to detail. Always. Add to that a magnificent setting and you have true magic.
Erick provided excellent and attentive service, the food was spectacular and the ambiance incredible with the mountains vista and hotel grounds adding to the enjoyment of the moment.
The Mother’s Day brunch was an awful value. Was expecting much more for $90 per person. Would have expected shrimp, lobster, oysters, filet, a mimosa, etc. Instead, it was an omelet station and carved pork loin. The service was next to non existent. Really not a good experience for the price.
Wonderful, made sure to recognize a wedding anniversary and made table feel special.
Wow- the food was unbelievable! Awesome service with a beautiful view!!
Wonderful location. Food was excellent and the staff, both inside and outside the restaurant were great. Highly recommend this resort.
We reserve a table for three for an Easter Brunch. On arrival we had a choice of patio or indoor seating. We chose indoor as the afternoon was still cool. When shown to our table, it was a table for four with three chairs in an awkward diagonal configuration set among other tables with either two of three chairs. The appearance of this dining area was quite disappointing.
We were offered the Easter buffet without a quote price and suggested that we view the offerings. One person in our party requested to order from the menu and the waiter advised they were offering only limited items from the luncheon menu. The appearance of the menus took slightly less time than incredible wait for our drink order. Two of our party selected the buffet which had some tasty offerings.
Service throughout our meal what practically non-existent.
When I received the billing and saw the per person price of the buffet I was simply flummoxed! We certainly did not receive the kind of value we were being charged and, as already mentioned, the service was dismal.
I would advise patrons to stick to the signature burger here - while expensive, it is one of the best in Northern New Mexico.
Had Made Easter brunch reservations with friends....arrived 30 min early to have a drink at bar...At 1 pm told the hostess we were ready for our table and she said "great"...leads us to table and says "Oh no, someone else is in your table...LOTS of tables were available. We told her that we didn't care b/c we could sit at any table. She told us to wait and 20 min later, we were still not seated and watched others be seated that had arrived after our 4 some........I finally just sat a table for 4 and told her we were going to sit here! The waiter told us he was new at least 10 times! Took 25 minutes to get our Bloody Marias....food was less than mediocre...when we explained to the restaurant mgr. what had happened he said "Oh, ok!!!" We said "no, it is not ok!" We had to ask him to comp our Bloody Marias since we waited so long...for drinks and to be seated.
We are locals and will probably not return....
Perfect! Food and service was amazing! Sunset was absolutely beautiful!!! New favorite date place!
We ate at Terra several times while staying at the Four Seasons. We had breakfast once, dinner once, and dinner in the lounge twice. The food is excellent. The service is extraordinary - the kind where you feel very catered to without feeling imposed upon. We were probably the only guests with kids during our stay, and everyone was really nice about it. Fun fact- you can play ping pong and board games in the game room while waiting for dinner.
Enjoyed our special birthday evening at Terra. Our waitress was knowledgeable, attentive and helpful.
Food was excellently prepared and very tasty. We noticed new food items on the menu and a new wine
list which is always good sign. Would highly recommend Terra for the view and menu selections.
No one would greet or seat us. No one else there except employees. Asked the front desk clerk for assistance. We were told to seat ourselves, only asked to get up and go sit in the bar as they were going to do interviews. Yes, really. Then I got a rate your service email. I did and minutes later the manager confronted me in front of what was suppose to be a 65th birthday celebration, it was offensive. Applebees would have better. Shame on four seasons
Always first rate. Delicious food, terrific waitstaff, beautiful surroundings.
Wonderful experience. Their signature burger has to be the best we've ever had. Service is impeccable in a unique New Mexican ambiance.
