Terra @ Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado
Excellent menu choices with well informed staff. Excellent food preparation and presentation. No better ambiance in Santa Fe.
My wife and I both had the omelette each with our own three choices of ingredients. The omelettes were light and the ingredients very fresh. We both began with freshly squeezed orange juice and they were excellent. I got an order of rye toast and it was served with very good preserves. We began our meal with a glass of Gruet: bubbly and delicious. Our server was very good and attentive. We have had dinner and lunch here from time to time. The high quality continues....
Off the charts excellence. Dining was extraordinary, service warm but professional. The beef tenderloin with root veggies was a culinary delight comparable to any of the finest restaurants on the planet.
The food is really good here - and a beautiful setting!
Service was not great. There was a large table nearby which resulted in very slow service for our party of four and multiple servers waiting on our table. Not terrible by any means, but not typical four seasons polished and efficient service.
Fine not great. Probably wouldn’t dine here again unless staying at the resort and without other options.
Beautiful view! Christmas Eve brunch very nice
Enjoyed the Christmas Enchiladas
Very disappointing. This was my first visit since Four Seasons assumed management from Auberge. Entire property has lost a lot of its charisma since the change over.
2 nights. First was my birthday, which was acknowledged. I do wish there were more lighter fare entrees. Breakfasts were way too expensive. Servers, pace of meals were all fine.
The Four Seasons Rancho Encantado is located in a beautiful, serene setting just north of Santa Fe. The views from the Terra restaurant are spectacular. The food was delicious.....the best hamburger I have ever tasted and it was cooked to perfection! The truffle French fries were excellent. Our waiter was very helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Terra and look forward to returning.
Seabass was rubbery and overcooked. The second one was good, though. Restaurant was empty.
Not 100% thrilled with newish menu, but we always love the ambience, sunset views, fire pit... Increasingly challenging to cobble together memorable vegetarian and dairy/gluten free meals here.
Wonderful venue and scenery but outrageous prices.
The server was the least attentive server I have ever encountered. She got half the order wrong. Forgot my side order. Never refilled glasses. Never came by to ask about our meal. Never brought a desert menu. Kept us waiting for the check for 30 minutes and never reappeared to process the payment. Had to get the help of another server to pay our check. The dining room was not that busy. Really inexcusable for even the the simpliest diner or food truck and did major damage to the Four Seasons brand. We live here. We eat out often and enjoy fine dining on a weekly basis. Brought out of town guests and was embarrassed at the regrettable experience.
The views at Sunset are incredible with outstanding chef creations!
food was good...I had the lamb chops and they were good, but the portion was extremely small...looked like the amount that a kid would get.
Wonderful service-beautiful setting. Of course Four Seasons are always the best! Want to stay here one day. Beautiful pace for a resort and for dinner
It's a gorgeous restaurant and setting, especially at sunset. The service is fantastic and so is the menu. Both times we've been there, the food has been delicious. Highly recommend.
Anniversary. Great evening
Food was terrible service was terrible. We used to come all the time. This place is now hopeless
Outstanding Dinner. Been there many times and we are never dissapointed. We celebrated our 9th anniversary and they really made it even more special with a lovely dessert wishing us happy anniversary. The waiter was amazing. Great customer service from all from start to finish. It is always nice to have a romantic dinner at Terra.
This is the 3rd occasion that we've had terrible service and the worst by far was this weekend - we walked out after an hour and 15 minute wait! Reservations were at 7:00pm - was seated finally at 8:10 - only to be told they ran out of their special. Rancho Encantado - three strikes and you're out! We will never choose to eat there again or recommend to others. (Rating -1)
The menu offering was great and we had an outstanding meal with excellent service. Excellent dessert with the mojito pie!
Excellent ! The beef tenderloin was best lifetime.. all of the food was exquisitely prepared... and the outdoor seating comes with a spectacular view
We were really looking forward to this special evening while in Santa Fe.
We arrived and were greeted by Allan at Valet. He welcomed us and stated he loved my Bolo tie.
We went into the bar and no one greeted us and ask about reservations. I had made them and noted dinner was to celebrate an anniversary. We went out on to the bar porch and sat at a table with four chairs that was too large for the space. Every time a waiter opened the door they banged against my chair. No apologies offered.
Waited 10 min or more to be ask if we wanted a drink while the staff stood and visited with others.
Finally we received our wine. Some one ask if we were going to eat. (Remember those reservations)
We chose to move to the outside area of main dinning and were seated. Our reset made on line (open table) again were never mentioned.
Our waitress was extremely competent and professional. Pleasant but not chatty.
The skirt steak I had was perfectly cooked with great flavor. My wife’s food was excellent and desert was lite and refreshing.
Overall food great dinngroom experience very good wait staff. Bar. Not again.
Excellent dinner— food and service both first rate.
Very nice experience, as usual. Staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Bus boy was a bit awkward and poured water on the table trying to fill glasses more than once. At least it wasn't the wine! Otherwise, a very professional and enjoyable evening.
We had a Groupon for lunch that helped to hold down the cost. That paid for two small plates, two entrees and two coffees. Would have cost over $90 from the menu for only $39. The food was excellent. Very nice presentation and very tasty. Our only complaint was that the bartender was either too busy (there were less than 16 diners in the restaurant) or extremely slow. He was quick to pour wines, but my wife ordered a house Margarita when our entrees arrived and the drink arrived when we were finished eating. Next time we'll order wine by the glass.
I read that they were listed with the best view in New Mexico, it didn't disappoint! New Mexico is known for its scenic views so the standard is very high and if you only go for a cocktail, the drive is worth it. The food, however was fantastic, so stay for dinner! Great options, perfect seasoning and the steak was cooked to perfection! Checking the average price for a bottle of wine, we were very pleasantly surprised to find the mark-up was very reasonable, only about 39%. Terra it's my new favorite Santa Fe restaurant.
Had a drink at the outside bar followed by dinner al fresco protected from any breeze so very pleasant. Our waitstaff were Jamie and Jaime. Could not have been more charming, delightful or accommodating. We had steak, corn side dish, watermelon salad. For dessert we had in-house made graham crackers, home made marshmallows (who knew?) and chocolate sauce with a special little burner to roast the marshmallows on our table! (I am not making this up!). We commented on the way home it was one of the best dinners and most enjoyable evenings we could remember in a long time.
Perfect place for a romantic, intimate anniversary dinner.
Great to meet Chef Kai and his team of sous chefs while going into the kitchen for excellent breakfast buffet. Quality both days excellent. Service was Kody was exceptional, our best and friendliest server in New Mexico all week. He could give some pointers to his co-workers on social skills and responsiveness. Had some difficulties getting some basics from his colleagues, but he was meticulous in detail. One young woman seemed to have trouble working in a team, noisily moving tables by herself, and broke a vase. Clearly a case where asking for/accepting for help was imperative. Quality of breakfast foods excellent: flaky croissants, berry jam by request, Green Machine juice.. Looked forward to breakfast both days. Dinner was serviceable before the opera.
A really lovely dinner. Wonderful view and excellent food- the Carribean prime rib was outstanding. The service was personable and knowledgable. Looking forward to coming back.
Reunion with friend
You'd expect the dining experience at the only restaurant at the Four Seasons to be special. We can give them a little break for being the only restaurant on property having to take care of breakfast, lunch and dinner but it is, after all, the four seasons and we really should expect more- at least they charge more. Everything about the property is magnificent, the restaurant is simply confused. Reservation or not, they struggle to keep tables clean so always (at least for the 4 days I was there) have to "find" or "clean" a table even with a reservation. Once seated, service is so slow that for one breakfast, patrons actually served each other coffee when tables were ignored for 15 minutes or longer. Food was equally slow to arrive. For one lunch (we sat down at 12:40PM), the wait staff apologized that "the kitchen was switching from breakfast to lunch" and that was causing the delay. We had salads that apparently took 40 minutes to make-by the way. Wait staff were always very pleasant and accommodating, there were just never nearly enough of them and they we always apologizing. View from the bar and patio is amazing and the food is actually good to very good but very expensive and so very, very slow.
The best view -- especially the outside seating -- of any restaurant in the Santa Fe area. Really liked the food and drink and ambiance. Service was outstanding. Fully enjoyable evening all the way around.
It was our first visit to Terra. A very pleasant surprise! The setting is beautiful. We had a delicious dinner. Service was excellent. The noise level was minimal, allowing for a quiet conversation. Nice for a special occasion.
Amazing food and experience, highly recommend.
