Teresa's Prime Ratings and Reviews
New Year’s Eve! We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience, Carly was so fun and helpful with the menu. The bar wasn’t crowded so the ladies took really great care of us. It was late so we shared a steak and an app, no one seemed bothered by the sharing. We know it’s frowned upon but who wants two steaks at 11pm?! We didn’t stay until midnight but I’m sure it would have been even more fun. There was a terrific jazz trio playing, not sure if that was a special occasion thing or not. From the hostess to the food runners, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. We are brand new to the area and this has become our new date night spot.
This was our third try at Teresa's, and it was a three strikes and you're out result. Our first visit this past summer resulted in a fall outside the front door due to a slippery front entryway (rain makes the stone entry slippery despite the rug runner) The manager on duty came out after witnessing the fall, but never once came to the table to follow up and see if everyone was okay. In our opinion that was a lack of customer service given the fact that the fall resulted in a broken shoe and at the very least warranted a check in at some point during dinner. Our second visit was better, but once again on Friday we experienced issues outside of the building. The steps and walkway into the building had not been shoveled and there was a layer of ice underneath. It snowed on Monday, so it's unacceptable that five days later the walkway wasn't cleared. This lack of attention to safety and the grounds drops the caliber of this restaurant. If you are going to charge the same prices as Capital Grille, the attention to detail needs to start with the grounds. The attention to detail on the food is evident, but it's not enough to make us return customers.
We ate here on Christmas Eve. It was busy but we waited a very long time for our entrees. Some of the food was cold. We had to ask to have our water glasses refilled. Our waiter, Dillon, was very nice but had too many tables to take care of. He did the best he could.
First time dining here. Food was outstanding! The server, Robert was incredible! He really went above and beyond for our anniversary! He was very friendly and made great conversation! We will definitely ask to sit with him the next time we come in! I HIGHLY recommend the filet, and the Mac and cheese was outstanding! We went on a Sunday and it was very cozy, with a lovely set up!
The night we went was very busy and very noisy. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed by the large tables he had. Our entree tooked a very long time to come out. But the good part was one of the best steaks that I have had, the chopped salad was also great. The drinks from the bar were excellent as well. Just picked a busy night I guess, I will go again in the future.
We liked it so much we took the other half of the family the next night during the snow storm.
We had Julie as our waitress again and she is still spectacular! Julie continued to set the standard on how fine dining executive staff provide service. The food is excellent! The steaks are aged to perfection. Great setting for special occasions!
This has easily become a family favorite restaurant.
Food & Service was great
Anne & I were disappointed to find that the cost of the 2 steaks and bottle of wine that we get went up $40 from last February.
Usually a drink each and the steaks and bottle of wine that we always get is around $150 this time it was $ 190.
Not sure why the big increase
I come here all the time and really love the food. We were a little disappointed this time. It was very crowded but we were seated right away. We got our drinks right away but was never offered bread. The appetizers came as expected and were very good. The wedge salad is great! It took a while for our dinner to come and we were looking forward to the steak. Unfortunately our steaks were all over cooked and we had waited awhile for dinner. They offered to get us new ones but we really didn’t want to wait. The next time we will since I really do like their food. They did cover our dessert which was good service. I will go back again and hope they cook it better next time.
This was our first visit to Teresa's Prime and we would definitely be going again. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren and all were impressed with the atmosphere, the service and the quality of the food. It was an informal comparison test with a competing upscale steak house in the region and, while there were differences in the ambiance and the menu, we decided that both were worthy of repeat visits. Great experience.
First time dining at Prime and I was very impressed. From the hostess Elaine to Nik our waiter we felt like VIPs, the customer service was just as great as the food. The restaurant was beautiful, it almost felt like I was in a resort. First class all around.
Well the food was great, the service was great and attentive, and the cost was over priced but I must admit I knew that going in. But the thing that bothered me for my anniversary dinner was the door to the function hall (where a wedding reception was going on) was loud (I heard the TJ and music and laughing) and annoying and they would not close the doors. Look I’m glad there having fun but I was not invited and was there to have my own solitude not being part of there wedding. It ruined my great meal and why those doors could not be closed is perplexing. I’m not the only customer annoyed. I will return but if there is another wedding experience then I’m done.
It was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we made a 7 pm Sunday reservation. Didn't think anything of it as I could make reservations until 7:30 pm. We were very disappointed to find that the restaurant closed at 8 pm. Although the waitress made it clear we could stay as long as we want it was still a rushed and awkward experience. I think the reservations should stop at 6:00 pm for a restaurant that closes at 8 pm. We expected a nice slow dinner and unfortunately thats not what we got.
Small but creative drink menu. Had the Thai inspired calamari app which was excellent. Unfortunately things went downhill quickly. The bolognese was lacking in flavor. The baked shrimp portion of the surf and turf was so over cooked as to be inedible while the accompanying filet, though over cooked, was tasty.
Service was attentive and efforts were made to address the sub-par entrees.
Two sides are included with each entree so there is value in the relatively moderate prices.
The waitress Julie was awesome. She always was around at the correct moment to refill a drink or remove a plate. Best service I have had in a long time. The food was excellent, we both ordered steaks and they were cooked perfectly and delivered hot.
The only down side was the minimal mixed drink menu.
Teresa Prime for me is a place for a special occasion mainly because its top of the line and on the same scale as Smith & Wolensky, Capital Grille and those other fine dining steak houses. The one difference is Teresa is not a la carte. You actually get two sides with your meal, Salad is extra but big enough to share. The food is outstanding and our waiter was very friendly. I would definitely recommend them.
Teresa prime is my wife and i favorite place to eat. We drive 90min each way to go there and it is well worth it....we had diner there 3 times in the last 5 weeks alone and are planning for another stop in December for a birthday, but hopefully one more before that...
The hostess and wait staff were all extremely friendly and sweet. They greeted my boyfriend with a happy birthday as soon as we walked in as I had mentioned it during the confirmation call.
The atmosphere itself was very loud and busy. I often couldn’t hear what he was saying and we were sitting right next to one another at a small booth. Also, the bar is not in a separate area so much of the noise came from there.
The soup (kale and tortellini) for an appetizer was delicious. I had the surf and turf for dinner. The steak was cooked good but the shrimp was very over cooked and almost rubbery. My boyfriend has the swordfish special which was very good, however a little salty.
The dessert for my boyfriends birthday was delicious. Fried Oreo with cinnamon ice cream.
Overall, it was fairly pricey, noisy, but had decent food. I don’t think I would go back for a quiet date night but maybe for a night out with a larger group of people for drinks.
My wife's birthday dinner was wonderful. I usually order the filet mignon but decided to try the porterhouse instead. It had so much gristle going through it I couldn't chew it. I ended up spitting out some pieces that I just couldn't eat. At the end of the meal I had a bunch of chewed pieces on the side of the plate that I'm sure the waiter must have seen as he offered to wrap the bone up for me to take home. I should have spoken up but he should have been able to tell I didn't enjoy the steak. At $54 I expected it to be better. They did bring my wife a surprise birthday dessert that was a nice touch to end the meal. I would probably go back again to give it another try but would never order that cut of steak again.
Food is always exceptional and priced accordingly. Service is attentive, but friendly and timely. They had a crush of people but managed it all very well. Small concern about reservations. We had them, came a few minutes early and were invited to take a seat at the bar before being seated. We found seats, but then were asked to give our seats to a couple that was on a "list" according to the bartender. I know some bars reserve seats, but never at a restaurant. I believe the couple was eating there, but that was their choice. The hostess should have informed us that taking a seat at the bar was not likely and came with some risk.
We have dined here several times and it seems to be better each time. We met friends who we haven't seen for awhile and it was so nice to have a quiet unrushed dinner. The waiter was great and the food did not disappoint. Great steak, pork chops with vinegar peppers, veal chop parmigiana and tuna. The only disappointment was the strawberry shortcake- the biscuit was hard- my husband had this and he's used to my excellent desserts 😊
The service was fair as their was one waiter for several parties - it was not the waiters fault - but a scheduling issue with the manager. It was a quite night in PRIME and staff should have been more attentive.
I ordered a Caesar Salad which is listed as having anchovies - they were not in the salad and I waited 15 minutes and asked two staff before they arrived.
On their website they offer a Apple Cinnamon Margarita - I ordered one at the bar and the bartender said their was no such thing - PLEASE CHECK YOUR WEBSITE of what is being offered to your customers.
The steaks were cooked perfectly - but sadly the potatoes were hard and undercooked. I would not expect this to happen on a quiet Wednesday night.
Table was ready when we arrived and hostess called us by name as we walked in and walked us to the bar where some of our party was. Service was great and the food was outstanding. Our party tried steaks, salmon and lobster risoto and all were enjoyed.
Will return again in the near future.
We enjoyed the food and the ambiance. While our server was not bad per se, for higher end steakhouses such as this (i.e. ~$200 for couple) we -- waited a fair bit to be introduced to server, drinks took a bit, had to ask for bread, server never topped off wine (and missed chance to sell us another bottle) ... all this and yet it was not packed.
Overall I would consider going back some day, but I am not rushing out to recommend it to the masses.
Have been here several times and have never been disappointed. They just launched a new menu with all the old favorites, but now they have much more pasta and different items. We all enjoyed our meals and shared several appetizers. The bacon is a MUST, the shrimp cocktail enormous and the French onion soup is excellent. Their salads are great as well. Make sure you leave room for dessert!
