Nice relaxing neighborhood restaurant in the heart of downtown Radnor. Ambience was comfortable casual and the food was excellent. Food server was friendly without being intrusive on my meal. Good recommendations for food choices.
This was a combination of business and friendship time. I requested a table away from others because we know so many people in the area and many times I go into a restaurant and the people that sit next to me listen in on what Is being said! Tables at Theresa’s Cafe are pretty tight! I was pleased however that they actually kept the table beside us empty. This allowed us to speak confidentially and personally for about 2 1/2 hours. We left a very large tip!
Food and service was good. We were seated in a crowded section and it was hard to communicate at times. The one thing that spoiled the experience and possibly keep us from going back was the different colored lighting in our seating area. Tomato sauce looked iridescent pink like candy. This threw off our tasting sense. Fortunately we could tell the food was actually good.
Teresa's food is ALWAYS excellent. Their drink menu is varied and interesting. I highly recommend it.
The service was phenomenal - we had great suggestions for charcutterie and server was well versed with all menu options.
Extensive list of interesting beers. Belgian inspired entrees. Hip atmosphere. Very enjoyable.
Very enjoyable. The server could not have been better. The lighting is a little odd but not a negative. I'd like to see more direction in the menu for pairing wine and beer with the food items. Otherwise I can't complain about anything, only good things.
Excellent menu, including the traditional Italian groupings of salad, pasta, and entree, and the option to substitute spaghetti squash or gluten free pasta for traditional pasta.
Average food with above average prices. I miss the old Teresa’s.
We went to Teresa's Next Door Cafe on a review by Philly Inquirer. We were unimpressed by the outside decor. Inside was moderately decorated. We had to move our seat away from lights shining in our eyes but at that time (lunch) it was easy to move. Everything else exceeded our expectations. The drinks menu was not only extensive to the point of being overwhelming, but our server was highly knowledgeable and helpful in picking the best drinks for our tastes. I had the best gin and tonic I ever tasted. Our cheese plate, with meats and olives added was enough to sell us for the meal. I had the special pasta which was delicious and my husband had the chicken piccata and raved about it. I thought he was going to lick his plate. We then had the chocolate mousse which was more than enough for us both. Overall the best for a great meal but be prepared to pay for what you get. Worth every penny!
Always a fantastic meal at Teresa's
Our food was quite good, with delicious fresh ingredients. Our waiter was friendly and tried to be helpful. However, one day after Christmas, the restaurant/bar was out of ginger ale for my sister's favorite drink. That seemed odd and unfortunate. Luckily the waiter allowed her to taste a wine to make sure it was to her liking, and it was. Our entrees ranged from a beautiful pizza with eggplant on it to pasta with Bolognese sauce to the cassoulet dish, all satisfying and tasty. The artichoke appetizer, although interesting and flavorful, was overpriced in my opinion. The ambience is lacking--very plain walls don't add anything to your dining experience, nor do the hard cold metal chairs--rather spare for my taste. Teresa's used to be a "warmer" environment, many years ago. Overall our experience was good (food!), but not what I expected.
Was very disappointed, Resturant was cold and stoic, service and food was ok would not recommend this restaurant to friends or family
We hadn't been to Teresa's in many years so I was excited to rediscover based on the generally good reviews. Sadly, I though the food was just ok but more than that it seemed overpriced. The beer selection is impressive.
Excellent dinner and very good service. Can be noisy, but much better than previously. Good choice for an evening in Wayne.
My friend and I had a wonderful dinner on December 2nd. The artichoke appetizer was simply amazing. I had a pasta dish (penne with seafood) which was really delicious. My friend also had the artichoke appetizer and for her entree, one of Teresa's specials - seafood risotto which she loved. We shared a bottle of excellent Malbac and we each had a great dessert - I had the sugar waffle w/berries, she had the scotch pudding. Our server (I forgot her name) was very sweet and attentive. Noise level was moderate; we had no problem have a nice conversation over dinner. I will definitely be dining there again.
It happened to be a slow night so noise was low, but this is a standard choice. Always safe but always great.
Reservations are usually a must.
Delicious, fresh and our server Lindsey was great!
Service and food was excellent. We will be going back.
We had a very good meal and an excellent server! He took good care of us, we were the oldest persons in the restaurant, it was Saturday night and full of young people but we had a very good experience!
Great beer, great food and great atmosphere!! Whether lunch or dinner, always have a fabulous meal!
Been there several times. Each time it's been great. Good food. Good wine/beer selection. Service has been great. Really, really nice place. Would recommend
HUGE selection of whiskey, great selection of beer. Food was fresh, not over spiced and overall very good. Will def. return.
My food was cold. My partner's food was tough and reheated from the night before. It was terrible.
We love Teresa's and have been coming for years but prices have gone up and we found that $183 was a lot to spend for a family of 4. (And our kids just had a pizza and kid pasta)
My lunch was wonderful! The server was excellent. I would definitely go back.
Great service delicious food impressive beverage list
We will be back
This is not the Teresa's Cafe of quite a few years ago. The ambiance is gone with seating more fitting for outdoor dining. The food was only fair, with less than average calamari for starters. Some of our entrees were tastier than other entrees. The service was slow, and the restaurant was noisy while children were dining. Frankly, the tab was too high for the meal and ambience we received.
Great experience. Quiet afternoon lunch with neighborhood friends.
Food was exceptional. We'll definitely be back.
First time there. Great place! Staff was amazing! Very friendly and welcoming! Made us feel like we were entering a friend's house for dinner. Great drink and options! We will be back!
We enjoyed our early evening at Teresa's Next Door for drinks and then Teresa's for dinner. My partner noted that Teresa's was unfortunately not the same as Teresa's of a few years ago. The atmosphere, beer and bar selections at Teresa's Next door (the connected restaurant) were excellent. I had a glass of Pliny The Elder and it was wonderful, while my partner enjoyed a glass of white wine. The menu at Teresa's Next Door was eclectic and we plan to go back. We left the bar area and went to Teresa's Café for dinner as planned. Although an "Italian" restaurant, the atmosphere does not really suggest Italian. We would have preferred to see more single tables with white tablecloths instead of many high top tables for 6. That said, our appetizer and dinners were excellent. Our appetizers were a gazpacho of cucumber and honeydew as well as chorizo filled dates. Both were very good. My meal was the chicken picatta (boneless thighs) and my partner had the sausage and ziti. Both were excellent. Service was excellent and the town of Wayne seems like a little gem.
Needs a little interior decor help- but the burrata appetizer was out of this world. And service was good too!
Wonderful food and service. On a college visit and picked based on reviews. Really lovely place!
Great experience and an extensive Tonic list for Gin and Vodka cocktails. Our server was versed in the menu and eager for customized recommendations. This was a rare "date" night for my husband and I and we enjoyed the town of Wayne and found this to be a neighborhood gem. Highly recommend!
The rosemary chicken with mushrooms and green beans was phenomenal. I also love the Caprese salad. Many gluten free options too.
Food was very good. Main reason for choosing Teresa's was to check out the whiskey bar-very extensive list of offerings! Last visit we made to Teresa's it was a BYO.
Great selection of whiskys , beer and cocktails. Food was just OK. Service was good. Recommend for a drink and snack.
This is not the Teresa's of yesteryear - the atmosphere is less upscale than it was 10-15 years ago. The food is still as delicious as ever, and the bar is a nice addition from when it was byob. Service is good, drinks were great. The entrees were knock-it-out-of-the-park good; I had the spaghetti squash dish on the menu and it was superb. My husband had the bolognese that he's been ordering since 2002, says it's still as amazing, although the portion was half the size it used to be. Overall, a solidly good choice with excellent food and a gigantic, well curated beer and cocktail selection.
