Tequila’s is some of the best Mexican and most authentic I have ever had
Always consistent service and food!
Disappointing experience. Our female server was more interested in our bar order than she was in addressing our food requests. I asked for the 2 sauces to be placed on the side and she indicated that the meal was already prepared with the sauces. When presented, it was clear that the sauces were later added to the plate. I questioned another server and he at least was honest and said the kitchen won’t put sauces on the side. My white sangria was good, but was removed before I had finished, and so quickly that at I did not immediately notice it was gone. Our server continued to ask if we wanted to order more drinks. Water was not refilled. The portions were smaller than in the past and now seem overpriced. Tequila’s had been a favorite for years, but after this experience, I will not be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Tequila's. The food was outstanding and the service was polite, accurate, and fast. Will be returning!
Several dinners there in the last few weeks; food is consistently very well presented and prepared, meat, fish, poultry. They do what they do quite well, with professionalism and warmth, in a large and lively space. Small details, like the margarita glass always being well salted, like thick mugs for the coffee, like finding a seat when someone accidentally snagged YOUR Open Table reservation.... current favorite pre-Kimmel Center / Academy of the Arts dinner experience.
Excellent food and service! Awrsome margaritas! Everything about will not disappoint!!
always a good spot for good Mexican food on the East coast.
Perfect as always.
Had a friend in from out of town; she absolutely enjoyed the food and ambiance. The staff were quite accommodating and friendly. Wonderful experience.
Great service and authentic food
The servers here are the most charismatic, talented, and professional that I have ever experienced in 50 years of going to restaurants. The food is extraordinary, and the service (and overall experience) is truly memorable). A truly amazing experience.
Perfect for a celebration. The food and margaritas are amazing
Amazing food and amazing service!
The food was good but overpriced. Service was excellent. Ambiance was good as always. Drinks were solid.
Food was delicious, our waiter was polite and took care of our table in a timely manner. Would definitely return.
Decent food, used to be better a few years back. small amount of options. A bit abnoxious service from one waiter, but the rest we're nice.
I am never disappointed coming here for a meal. One of my favorite restaurants in Center City!
The food was terrible. The guacamole with mango and crabmeat was bland and the crab tasted fishy and canned. I ordered the grouper special and it seemed as though it had been sitting underneath the heat lamps for a very long time as the edges of the fish were hard and all of it was so dry. My husband’s molcajete dish was so watery it was pretty much soup. When we asked for more tortillas, the server brought them over and since there was no room on the table, instead of clearing our appetizers and bowl of tortilla chips out of the way, he actually THREW the dish of tortillas on top of the dishes that needed to be cleared. Very disappointing. We would never dine there again.
WOW WOW WOW. We were in town to see a concert and staying near Rittenhouse Square. I researched restaurants and found Tequilas. We couldn't be happier with the service, food and cocktails.
My next Philadelphia visit will include a meal and cocktail at Tequilas for sure!
One word. Meh! Food was awful. Shrimp
Wrapped in bacon was dryed out and tough. Margaritas were ok. Service was good. Really loud. I won’t return
I was told this was a great Mexican restaurant in Philadelphia by two friends I trust with food recommendations.
The only issue I have with this restaurant was the fact that our service staff was unethical. They failed to mention that ONE chicken/beef bowl entree ($27) can feed up to FOUR PEOPLE. Of the four people at the table, three ordered one of these bowls as the dinner. While we were prepared to spend good money - the staff have a responsibility to speak up.
I left this restaurant feeling violated after paying the bill. Will never go back.
Wonderful meal & drinks
Tequila’s offers authentic Mexican cuisine in an upscale but fun environment. We started our night out with a cantina of Margaritas with the owner’s distilled tequila. Chips, homemade salsa, fresh and light guacamole began our muy delicioso dining experience. Camarones Rellenos, Chile Rellenos and Langostino lightly buttered with just the right amount of garlic hit the mark every time! The staff are impeccable and contribute to a fun time...every single visit!
We are always happy after we get together at this restaurant! Highly Recommended!!
All in all, very pleasant time.
The food is truly excellent. The lobster tacos appetizer (a special) was delicious and the branzino, done Mexican style, was outstanding. Fast service. Also, delicious drinks. One caveat: it is pricey. This is not your tia's taqueria.
We think the food are overpriced. They either too salty or too sweet. Good ambience but average food.
Always good. Never disappointing.
"I love romantic yet comfortable atmosphere of this restaurant. From the outside, it looks small and quaint. To my surprise, the space was quite large and spacious especially for large groups– A friend recommended the cocktail shortrib and I could see why. spicy and sweet definitely a hit. For dinner, I had the scallops which were absolutely amazing. Many at the table had the steak and were raving. The service was impeccable. I definitely would return to try more dishes and have already recommended to friends.
Great food and wonderful service make for a terrific dinner
Great food and ambience just super loud!
Terrific, friendly service. It is always a wonderful experience both in environment and food.
Lively, classy atmosphere with classic Mexican dishes. Warm service and great cocktails with their signature tequila. Perfect for dates, special occasions or general dining.
Great food and great service. Margaritas were great!
Birthday dinner with my close friend
It says casual dress, but we were under dressed for dinner big time. It’s pretty fancy. The Tres Leches cake is to die for! I also had the Cochinita Pibil which was AMAZING. It is pork loin wrapped in banana leaves baked in citrus and peppers, served alongside whole beans and plantains. Mouthwatering.
Raymundo, our server, was awesome. Food very good. We will be back.
Overall a very nice place. Charging $1 more if you want a drink on the rocks is crazy. Very disappointing when you are nickel and diming your guests when they are already paying $14 for a drink.
We had a wonderful evening and dinner was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and was able to answer any of our questions about the differences in the Tequila margarita’s to the entrees. The guacamole with crabmeat and pineapple was very interesting , I wish it came in the bigger lava bowl I could make a meal out of that.
It’s a popular place so I’m glad we made reservations.
Very good food, should be for the price. Fresh ingredients, loved the guacamole with crabmeat and pineapple!
