Tequila's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The chips and salsa were excellent, but the rest of the food was very disappointing. The red sauce they use on enchiladas was watery and had no flavor--it looked and tasted like it could have just as easily been used on spaghetti. We paid way too much for bad food.
On the plus side, the restaurant is beautiful and has a very authentic Mexico City vibe. Too bad about the food though.
I️ enjoyed this restaurant a lot. The food was amazing, especially the guacamole (as it’s hand made & fresh, daily) & the churros I️ had for dessert were to DIE for. I.T seemed a bit louder than usual, but only because we were in the room next to the bar during the Eagles playoff game. Other than that, the noise level was basic. Service is incredible, I️ would highly recommend this restaurant!
Good for pre theater dining on a long past due return since mid life married days. Menu was more limited than remembered from past but creative and good. Being not so hungry had the tortilla soup and empanadas, soup was delicious and was served without sprinkle of dried peppers at my request. Empanadas, appetizer size, could have been baked to more crisped and heated state but were good tasting, one mushroom filled and other beef. My friend ordered the stuffed poblano peppers entree, very good and on my return I plan to get that dish.
Waiter was attentive and very helpful with choices. The drinks were simply an individual Mexican beer suggested by the waiter and a red wine sangria, both very good.
Never get tired of this restaurant. All of these new trendy Mexican restaurants open up and they will never compare to tequilas. My sautéed shrimp dish was heavenly! (Light but filling) The best skinny margarita I have had. The ambience is also fabulous. Can’t wait to go back...
Can be a little loud in the back donning area but the food more than makes up for it. Been here many times and keep going back. Entees are simple but have depth of flavor. You’ll never leave hungry either. Service has always been great and the list of mezcal is second to none.
We had a wonderful time with excellent food and service. They accommodated a large family group and made sure everyone’s requests were taken care of. All the food came out promptly for 9 people and everyone enjoyed their dishes. The margaritas here and tequila selection are top notch.
This restaurant was very busy, which I took as a good sign. I was able to get a reservation within a short time though. We were seated quickly.
The reason I'm not rating it higher than I did is for the following:
-Service was slow-from getting the chips to getting drinks
-The seating area was very crowded. Everyone was on top of each other.
Besides that, the restaurant was clean and the food was good but pricey.
Wonderful food, staff and ambiance. The noise level can get to be too much. At my most recent visit, my friend and I decided not to talk until after leaving the restaurant since neither of us could hear the other, due to a large group of 10-12 that was literally shouting at each other all through dinner. The ceviche guacamole and grouper with mango sauce were sublime.
