Teppan Village Japanese Steakhouse
Sasha helped me shell my lobster as I had never had to do it myself before and the whole experience was as incredible as the food
Always a good time and good food👍
Got in on a Saturday night maylong weekend no problem.......
One of my go-to spots in whistler, fun for all ages!
Great! Entertaining & appreciate the head staff taking time to tell us our table was coming soon.
Excelente lugar familiar y buena comida. Show en mesa de teppanyaki y buen servicio
I guess going here later in the evening and expecting it to be an upscale place because of the prices was an error. The waitress bought out our Miso soup after we had already finished most of our other items from our order and it was cold. This was a Friday night at 9:30....they were supposed to be closing, but there were still a lot of tables doing the "show" of the grilling and chopping...if the sushi was any indication I would never pay $50 for a stir fry, no matter how entertaining it is. yikes another Whistler let down of expensive prices, and crappy food.
Good experience, super expensive. Flavor was good, not great.
As far as Teppanyaki goes, the food was good, but the show aspect was rushed and lacking. There was no interacting, no funny tricks on people and the fried rice isn’t even prepared tableside. I would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was nothing special and the show was okay.
A delightful, entertaining experience topped off by excellent food and service.
Really tasty and beautifully presented food , fish dishes especially excellent and fresh.
A perfect place for a large gathering! Great to be able to choose your type of protein and ingredients.. Great entertainment value and skilled chefs.
We loved the Teppan Village Japanese Steakhouse. The food and service were excellent. It is child friendly. There were many happy families there. The chefs entertain well.
Overpriced.... Basically onion and spouts and not worth the cost. Food was fine but not 40$. I had to take my sons out to eat once they left as was not enough food.
It was fantastic
Great night out. Lovely food and entertaining show of cooking in front of you. Village choice great. Chicken fillet beef scallops and King prawn
Not the experience that we want. Neither the quality, poor seasoning. It is not the quality we think. Bad seasoning, a lot of show on the part of the cook and we need to send our clothes to the laundry.
Mala atención por la hostess.
No saben manejar grupos grandes.
Y te dicen desde la entrada que solo tienes una hora para comer por qué hay más gente esperando
Food is good and the chef is very entertaining 👍
Was not expecting a Hibachi when I made reservations but it turned out ok
Our party of 10 was looking for dinner options while visiting Whistler. We thought Teppan Village would be a great option as it was social and some our group had never been to a Teppan restaurant. The only thing that would have increased our rating from 4 stars to 5 stars is if the fried rice and dessert were included. For those of us that had been to Teppan previously, we were used to having the fried rice prepared in front of us and also everyone being served either sherbert or green tea ice cream. Overall the food was delicious and the service great.
So the positives, the food is very good and the showmanship and spectacle adds hugely to the atmosphere. The booking was easy and the restaurant was flexible that we arrived a little early. The staff were very pleasant, sweat and genuine.
There were some negatives, and to be honest, most of it you can put down to the front of house being junior/less experienced and probably here for the skiing rather than being skilled at waiting. First off, we did arrive a little early and they were happy to seat us early. However, they seemed hesitant to ask another group to move over one seat so we could be seated as well. A more confident waitress would have successfully negotiated that adjustment. They could make no recommendations about the wine (as they'd never tasted any of them and weren't trained to explain them to patrons); didn't know what okonomiyaki was and wouldn't ask if the chef knew; didn't know the provenance of the food; wanted to serve out mains before our starters as another customer was ready. In the end there were multiple little things we tracked with good humour.
So in summary, go for a good experience, lovely food, good humoured staff, but accept that service may be a little bit haphazard.
Very entertaining; great food
Great teppanaki cooked by an excellent chef
The teppanyaki experience is very good. Food was flavorful, and the ingredients were fresh and savory. Cocktails were good, but could have a bit more alcohol (seemed more like a refreshment to us). Staff was courteous, and diligent, and our teppanyaki chef was very skillful and funny. We would repeat.
The whole spectacle of having food cooked in front of you finishing with a tapping stick display was awesome. The food was tasty but I did feel was a little pricey. I also felt we were rushed when taking our order as everyone at the cooking station has to have ordered before the chef can start cooking. We ordered some sparking water & when finished asked if we wanted another bottle. We said no but we would like some tap water which they never bought to us. They were keen to get us out & have the next sitting come through. If you want a leisurely meal then don’t dine here. We were in & out within the hour.
The restaurant is nice, but the food was just okay. The price did not match the quality of food.
Cook was friendly and showed some performances
Just noisy as many other customers are drunk
Have eaten here quite a few times and still fun to see the show as well as eat the food. recommend for anyone not yet experienced Teppanyaki
Great food and they accommodated our large group
Good food. Missed the fried rice included on the entree.
It was a fun experience with the family. Good food, and fun service. Very loud and quick, so I would not go there for a date, but fun as a group.
The kids loved it
I thought the food quality and preparation was average
We all left smelling like tepaniaki for another 2 days
The first seating is actively rushed through the meal
Average compared to Bennihana
Poor service, contrived environment, poor ventilation. Not authentic slow sevvive
Overpriced for what it was. The quality of food received just wasn't worth the price and the portions where small considering the price paid.
Atmosphere was very typical of Japanese- style steak house. I will say to beware on a holiday weekend because there were kids ( small children)
at every group table.
Fine for everyday dining but not what I wanted as part of my experience on
