TENDER steak & seafood - Luxor Ratings and Reviews
Amazing experience for sure I invited 3 friends who are locals, myself and my 40 y o son! We ordered family-style so there was
An amazing selection of meat & lobster risotto, a potato casserole dish, Caesar salad, delicious assortment of breads.
Awesome cocktails and beverages!
I’ll be back in 3 months!
Our server was awesome!
Been to Tender 7 or 8 prior times: Hostess was great, asked for fresh ground pepper on our salad and were handed the salt and pepper grinders, had to reuse our appetizer forks for salad.
Ordered a fillet medium and it came rare and tough. The poorest dinner we've ever had at Tender and prices have gone up substantially. Not sure we'll ever go back
For a Vegas restaurant, the atmosphere is relatively quiet. Great for a business meeting/dinner because you can actually hear across the table. The tuna appetizer is outstanding. I tried the lamb sampler and it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Also try the Cobb salad. Instead of bacon bits, it has two slabs of bacon on it. Nice touch! Service was OK, not outstanding, but nothing to complain about. All in all, a great dinner.
We reserved a table for 8 and then realized we had 9. They were able to arrange a new table with no problem. When we were seated we received notice that 2 of our party would not be joining us and one was running late. We advised the hostess and she moved us to a smaller table with no problem. Then our waiter, Ralph, came.
Ralph acted like he did not want to serve us. He was very pushy and rushed us through the ordering process. He got our drink order wrong. Two of our party ordered steak medium plus. One came out fine. The other one was butterflied and was inedible. It had to be sent back for a new one. Ralph did not come back and check to see if everything was ok. The food runners and manager were more concerned.
As soon as we finished eating, Ralph picked up everything, even the bread. He offered a dessert menu but we felt he did not want us there any longer and opted not to have any.
The food was not worth going back and the service was horrible. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
With a reservation, we were seated very quickly. After being seated, we were acknowledged and attended to in a timely manner. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We appreciated his recommendations and offer to have our share-sized steak cut for us. The meal was very, very good. The steak was -- wait for it -- TENDER!! The sweet potatoes were a very nice side for the meal. We were so stuffed, we could not get dessert. A bummer... So we will have to go back to try the dessert! Thank you to TENDER for the great experience!
The service was attentive by Manuel and Dewey. When asked for advice on the choice of bison steak they both recommended the prime rib. It was full of gristle and sinuey, tough to cut and when this was told to the waiver there was no response, no apology, nothing.......the trio soup was not hot and the sides were tepid. Not worth the price.
All our food was very good, except the lobster bisque was a disappointment. It was on the thin, runny side and could have been more flavorful. Service was adequate, could have been a bit more attentive. My problem was with the ambiance. It's a beautiful restaurant, but the music was cranked up so uncomfortably loud. It inhibits conversation with your fellow diners. A restaurant of this desired caliber should be attuned to permitting it's guests to visit with each other and enjoy their meal in a bit more of a tranquil atmosphere rather than a hyped up scarf it down scene.
Steak was delicious. The salmon dish was just weird and not tasty. Plus it was maybe 3oz., and costly. No sauce, 12 kernels of quinoa, a bit of spinach. Did not work at all. The service and ambience of the restaurant are great...and the food if you stick to steak is very good. This was my second stab at a fish dish here, and my second failure. The manager did comp us two delicious desserts when I complained.
One of the best filets I've ever had - only Fleming's in San Diego has been better, in my experience. Was worth getting an Uber over from elsewhere on the strip (Venetian/Mirage) just to eat there. If possible, get there before the seasonal heirloom tomatoes run out (usually gone by mid-November) - they are served with mozzarella, basil and EVOO and are better than any I've had anywhere else.
Fantastic birthday dinner... we are steak-loving locals, and this is a gem on the strip everyone should visit. Had a few issues with cocktails not being correct/not tasting all that great (ordered an Old-Fashioned but received a Manhattan, too sweet, etc.). Everything else was great! Food was spectacular, service was great, and the birthday cake they had for us was a nice touch.
