Ten22 Ratings and Reviews
We were from out of town, but we've eaten here in the past when visiting Sacramento. Went back this time after having positive past experiences. Still a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and service. Discovered a new local brew on their recommendation. Had a wonderful time.
There appeared to be multiple managers but no one was managing. Everything was out of sync the night we went to dinner. Our waiter didn't offer to inform us about the special because he said that it was sold out....by 7:00 at night! Our waiter also said and assured us that our salad and kids meal would come out before our food but our food came our first. Then we got a Caesar salad that was warm (it has sat out too long), so we got another one. This one has old, brown romaine lettuce. Our braised lamb dish was tough to eat as the meat was tough. The tortellini was also hard to eat as the pasta was tough.
My fiancée and I were there to celebrate our engagement (first date since engagement the day before). We had two specific questions for our waiter around food allergies. My fiancée is allergic to most soft cheeses and vinegar. We shared that with him. Specifically we asked about the cheese in Lasagna. He said it had mozzarella and Parmesan. We ordered it to find it had ricotta. Not ok for her. He blamed the kitchen for "not telling" him. He also said it had bacon, it did not. The salad that came with it had a vinegar dressing. He discounted the meal which we didn't want, we wanted to share a meal together. Also, water and bill were very slow to arrive/refill. We found ourselves waiting around a lot. Meal took about 45 minutes to arrive after multiple times telling us it was almost done.
Like other reviewers, we ordered those stupendous brussel sprouts. Our beverages arrived in a timely fashion then we ordered our entrees, from the salmon plate to kid pizza. We grew to wonder what happened to our order. Four or five times our waiter explained the food delay and we accepted each wait time because he kept us informed.
Also, we weren't in a hurry.
We each very much enjoyed our meals.
We sat on the patio with just a few other people and enjoyed a quiet, pretty ambience. The wooden tables are nice. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the pork chop with a kind of plum sauce, simple green salad and an heirloom tomato pizza and shared everything. I would definitely go back.
This place is like a cafeteria. The ambiance is terrible, service was extremely slow and the food was sub par for the price. My salad tasted old and my friend's gluten free fish was fast food quality. I am not sure why the reviews are so high for this place. Judging by the wines on the wine list, I expected much better. There are so many other great places near by. I hate to leave negative reviews but as someone who arranges dining for clients, I know this place is not worth going to.
This is one of our favorite dare night restaurants, excellent food, large portions, and won't break the bank. We did the special 3 course Farm-to-Fork dinner. The salad was refreshing with greens, mandarins, lemons, tomato, creamy goat cheese, and a couple pieces of fried artichoke(just enough). Main course was shredded oxtail prepared tender, tasty, and not too saucy, over big egg noodles. Finishing off with a pot de cream topped with chopped quince, and honey drizzle. My husband had Twisted River Tempranillo and I tried Tequila en Roble. He liked the red wine, I was hoping for something more in mine. The cocktail menu mentioned blood orange juice and Orange liquor. Instead I felt like it was a shaken margarita. I'm not a fan of sour mix. Next time I'll jut get the anejo meat. The tawny port we had with dessert was nice though. Only other drawback, it was very warm in our booth location. Overall an excellent meal for $25 each, plus typically priced drinks, in a nice, but not too pretentious, restaurant. Good date night.
Tried this place for the first time on 9-1-17. I was seeing a show at Golden One and they advertised $5 valet parking for dinner and during the show. The food was good, but not stellar. A good server could have made up for the mediocre food, but that was not our server. He seemed almost annoyed to be there. The final blow was getting multiple texts starting at 10:30 from the valet. They claimed the show was "scheduled" to be over at 10:30 and that the restaurant closes at 10:00, so if I did not get back by 11:15 I would have to get my car in the morning. That would have meant leaving before the show was over. I hit there close to 11:30 and the valet and fortunately the valet was still there. Bottom line, if you are going to advertise valet parking during G1 Center shows, arrange for valet service until the show is over and don't pressure patrons to leave concerts early.
We enjoyed our first visit to Ten22 in Old Town Sac. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was fantastic and the $20 burger was delicious. We also had the lamb which was good but nothing spectacular. The wait staff was a little too attentive, constantly asking if we were ok or if we needed something. Overall, we would recommend the spot to others and would return ourselves.
The food was good, the place is airy and modern - very different from the touristy ambiance of shops in Old Town. Nice place for a business lunch.
The staffer was a bit too thorough and though we asked for more time she'd reappear every 2-3 minutes...during lunch she asked us if everything was okay 5-6 times - a bit much. Once we ate we had a hard time getting her attention. Could have been us, could have been the lack of customers on that day, maybe it's karma - we wanted to catch up.
