Ten22 Ratings and Reviews
The server was amazing! The food was great. We got the steak and it was a little on the rare side. (Ordered it medium rare) overall though a fun night. Only other upset was being sat down next to where the food was made, but I will look out for that spot next time. Will definitely return.
The ambiance and service were excellent. The food was overpriced and marginal. The charcuterie board especially overpriced and we would have preferred a broader variety of meats or cheese rather than the inedible slab of pate. There were too few crackers for the consumption of the board contents and it would have been a more balanced board with more crackers or flat bread. The pizza was a unique combo (butternut squash) but the sauce was sparse and the seasoning bland. Did I mention the service was excellent? Too bad the food did not match the quality of service.
I've been wanting to try this place for months now and I finally got the chance today. I went with my friends for lunch. The place looks nice. The food is just okay. The salmon was a bit overcooked but it was okay. The worst thing in this place is our server, Brandon. He wasn't paying attention to our table at all. He would check on the table right next to us constantly then he would walk away as if we weren't there on the next table. We'd try to get his attention but he would hide somewhere we couldn't see him. We even had to ask one of the other servers to call Brandon because I needed a refill. When he went back with my drink he practically slammed my drink on the table. Brandon didn't smile while talking to us, he was rude, and a bit arrogant. When my friend went to the manager to complain, he said he would talk to Brandon and he apologized. My friend didn't feel the sincerity but it's better than nothing. I don't want to make this a race issue but I just have to point out that we were the only Asians in that area of the restaurant.
Out for a girls weekend with my sister, daughter and 8-year-old granddaughter. The menu looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. To make a potentially long story short, the service was terrible, but the food was quite good. We ordered drinks which we did not receive until after our entrees arrived, and had to ask another waiter about them. No sorry, or otherwise for the wait, just an excuse that the bar was busy because of "mardi gras." No napkin was given with the drink so there was water "sweat" on the table. I took my napkin from my lap and cleaned it up. We were not given dinner forks so we all ate with salad forks. The pork chop I ordered was difficult to cut with the butter knife, and a steak knife would have been nice. We ordered cheesecake for dessert and the waiter asked if we wanted forks or spoons, and we told him forks. Well, in typical fashion he bought us 4 large spoons. Poor service all the way around. It was just one mishap after another. I guess you had to be there to understand how poor it actually was. The guy really needs some lessons in customer service. He is definitely not a career waiter by any stretch.
Nice place - they could boost the interior appeal with more intimate lighting - was lit like a cafeteria :(. Selection of foods was very good. Service was disorganized (i.e. - appetizer arrived before the drinks). Overall food was good, though my medium rare $20 hamburger was more medium well.
A fun restaurant with a up-market feel, with booths for intimate seating and a more open table space. Interesting wine list with enough by-the-glass choices. Food choices were homey, tasty, well-prepared. Dessert portions were large! Hostess and server professional, efficient, friendly. Enjoyed our evening very much.
We went for Dine Downtown. I was a little deflated, especially after attending last years experience. The steak was kinda boring, but the green beans were delicious. And the dessert was sooo good, except it was basically just a taste. So small, but I guess that’s what happens to financially equate for the event and pre-Fixie cost!
We did dine-downtown and they forgot about our dessert. When they brought it out, my cake was cold and I guess they had run out of it, so they brought me an "upgraded" dessert. It was mediocre. The entree (steak) and appetizer (Brussel sprouts bruschetta) were tasty though.
My husband and I had a great evening at Ten22. We went for the dine downtown menu and everything was very good! The only thing that we thought was a bit off, and we actually had a good laugh, was the butternut squash ravioli. Although it was very tasty, my husband ordered it as his main course and he only received 5 small raviolis. Not nearly enough for a meal. I got the steak which was delicious and more than I can eat, so I shared half my meal with him. It all worked out, but wish that we would have gotten a few more raviolis for the price. The service was fantastic!
We have been to Ten22 several times and decided to pick this restaurant (out of all the others) for your special Dine Downtown restaurant week menu. We arrived a few minutes early and the hostess and manager were very friendly and accommodated our booth request. We arrived at our table and the experience went downhill from there. The booth seat was ripped up on one side, our waiter took a long time to arrive and was not very friendly and extremely stressed out. He never once made eye contact with us. The food was delicious as always and the busser was also very efficient and friendly. The wine took forever to arrive at our table actually arriving after we received our appetizer. The waiter seemed like he didn’t really want to be bothered by much. It wasn’t just our table as we watched his frenzied service at his other tables as well. The manager stopped by to ask us how our meal tasted which was very nice. The waiter forgot to take our dessert order (3 course meal) and we had to ask him to order it. When we received our bill, he had charged us for 2 glasses of wine instead of the one that we ordered. We asked him to remove the charge and he agreed that he had made a mistake. It truly was a shame that the waiter was so unengaged because the rest of our experience was good.
I work in the service industry so I have certain expectations when it comes to service... the hostess was really nice, but our server was the worst waitress I’ve come across in a while. Diners who were seated and had their orders taken after us got their meals and dessert before us. The only time our waitress came to our table was to take our order, drop our food, and give us the check. She never once came to see if we were doing okay or needed anything. I was really disappointed b/c my sister was visiting from out of town for my daughter’s baptism, so we wanted to take her to a nice restaurant and it ended up being a bad experience for all of us. I probably will never dine there again. She left a bad taste in all our mouths.
Had dinner during restaurant week with friends here. I ordered prim fixe menu...best choice among us. Grilled Brussel sprouts were delicious served with crispy crostini, my grilled sirloin steak was also very good with nice sauce, green beans and fingerling potatoes. Hubby had pizza with brussel sprouts, pork belly, etc. Ingredients were good but lacking in cheese or any noticeable sauce which would have made it so much better! Chocolate lava cake was good, not outstanding. 3* rating based on our friends dinners which were not so great. One 3-course dinner was sea bass...fish okay but she didn’t like the choice of cheese and risotto that came with it. Other friend had regular dinner of meatloaf...very strange taste and seemed seriously undercooked. They did prepare another meatloaf which they took home so nice touch. Would recommend based on our meals; our friends probably wouldn’t!
Although I've eaten there several times, I wanted my partner to try it. So we used 'Dine Downtown' as an opportunity. The restaurant is beautiful - open and modern - my type of restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We enjoyed all three courses. I've made a convert!
