Ten Mercer Ratings and Reviews
Went here before a concert at Key Arena (walking distance) after just randomly choosing a restaurant. Wow. The restaurant is kind of nondescipt but the food here is outstanding. Started with the cheese plate which was presented beautifully. Then had the chicken main course. Juicy, succulent, mouth watering, and seasoned to perfection. I was floored. Best chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. The dessert was equally delicious. Service was attentive without being annoying. Nice wine list too. There is also the most stunning view of the Space Needle. All in all, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Loved it!!!
Service was slow even though at 6 on a Saturday the restaurant was not busy. Food was good but not memorable, avoid the mashed garlic potatoes as both of ours were dry. Good for pre theatre due to location but not otherwise a destination restaurant in our opinion.
I never send a meal back, but I didn't send back my Opah. Our server Bret, was very quick to offer something else to replace it. While I waited he brought a salad for me that I enjoyed until my replaced meal came that was fantastic! Thanks to a great server to turn a bad experience into again an enjoyable time.
We return to Ten Mercer as often as we can. The food is always outstanding. The hostess and the wait staff are appropriately friendly and extremely helpful with the menu and wine list. One of us eats gluten-free and has never been disappointed with the choices. Ten Mercer combines well with events at Seattle Center to make for a special evening.
LOVE 10 Mercer! We've been coming for many years and have never been disappointed with the menu (although short, everything's delicious!), friendly and efficient servers, and before and after theatre! We took advantage of their Seattle Restaurant Week specials... amazing salmon dinner with salad and dessert for $33!
So awful. Expensive bland uninspired food. The cocktails were good so that was something. The samosas were greasy and soggy. The gnudi was bland and heavy. The beef medallions were ok. The side veggies weren't awful. Will never return and will discourage anyone from going.
Ten Mercer is very good for pre-post theater dinning especially for events close by at Seattle Rep and other the Seattle Center area. The food is nicely prepared, served and is tasty. Cocktails are excellent and the bar has a wide selection of special choices. Make sure that when you order, you let your server know the time you need to leave to get to the theater or other events that have a defined starting time. As the restaurant gets busier, the service is still good but a bit slower. If you order dessert, ask that the check be presented when it is served.
10 Mercer is one of our absolutely favorite restaurants! It never disappoints in service and amazing seasonal offerings! It is the perfect restaurant prior to and after a theater event in the Seattle Center area. If you inform the host, they WILL accommodate the need to leave in time to catch your show. All without feeling rushed!
I highly recommend this restaurant in all regards!
Good food and cocktails, easy online reservations, convenient to theatre at Seattle Center. I'd like to go back and try more menu items; we limited ourselves to salad and appetizers, as we didn't want too much food before going to Seattle Rep. We both saw larger entrees which we'd like to try in the future.
We enjoyed the open, rustic but sophisticated atmosphere and the fact that conversation was easy. Even though the place was full, it wasn't chaotic. Our waiter's timing was perfect. We enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour meal without waiting and never feeling rushed. The food was delicious, trending toward comfort food rather than gourmet but well prepared.
This is one of my favorite Seattle restaurants. I like several items on the menu and often order within a narrow range of choices. Their special dishes are outstanding. And service continues to be precise and swift. If you have a performance to attend, you should tell the staff as soon as you arrive, so your meal can be served in a timely way without being rushed.
Our table was upstairs with open windows providing a view of the outdoors (it was a sunny Seattle evening) as well as fresh air. I had the Sole which disappointed me; sole is a thin fish and can't really take panko breading on both sides - more breading than fish. The size of the fillet was bigger than I expected for petrale sole, 4-5" at the wide end and about 9" long. Placed on top of about 1&1/2 cups of mashed potatoes. I did expect the lemon butter sauce to be, well, butter and lemon, and wine, maybe a little cream, but it was a thickened yellow, lemony flavored substance. And a few green beans. Way more food than I expected. So I give this description because, even though it was too much for me and I don't eat potatoes, and didn't like the sauce or the breading, someone else might really go for it!
We shared a crab cake with a remoulade which was pretty tasty but the crab to bread ratio seemed heavy on the bread side.
For food before a show, it was kind of heavy.
But the service was great and we made it to the show on time!
Since we didn't know what to expect, there were no surprises. WE totally enjoyed ourselves! First the server asked if we had any time issues and if there was a time that we needed to leave. A nice touch. The server was very attentive but not overly so. She was very knowledgeable of both their wines and the dishes. Our food was delicious and served in the proper sequence. When the appetizers were done, the salads appeared; when the salads were done, the entrees appeared. The food was delicious! We didn't have time (our fault) for coffee or dessert but we will next time.
Overall, very comfortable, wonderful service, delicious food. We will return.
