Tempo Ratings and Reviews
I said to my family after the meal. I want to go again tomorrow to have that dessert myself as we had shared. Everything was delicious. I have Celiac Disease and the staff is very knowledgeable. They are a safe restaurant for e to go to with no cross contamination. The desserts are homemade. And the entrees plentiful! I have been going for years and they never disappoint.
This was our second time at Tempo. I have Celiac so I'm always on the look out for restaurants who can do gluten free well. Tempo did not disappoint. Virtually everything they serve is either GF or can be made GF. They also offer GF bread. The food itself is delicious and the drinks creative (highly recommend "Love and fernnet"). It's a bit of a pricier place to dine, but it's not stuffy and you can definitely bring the whole family.
Went on a frigid Tuesday evening in January and restaurant was surprisingly quiet. That left our party with terrific, prompt service. Oysters were fantastic and a great deal at $1 each. Mains (steak, tuna, scallops) all well-prepared. Will definitely return.
Always love Tempo! Great mix of small plates, salads, and entrees. The flavors of the food is always top notch, with different types of flavors all mixing to simple yet very tasty combinations.
Especially love the Pan Fried Brussel Sprouts with smoked bacon, the Hot pepper calamari for appetizers. The entree of Short Ribs with truffle risotto is out of this world. The spicy shrimp and scallop entree was great also.
Service is attentive but not clingy and the wine list is interesting but not stuffy. Highly recommend Tempo. It never disappoints!
We hadn't been here in a while and had forgotten jut how good it is! In fact, we plan to return soon. Service was competent and pleasant (Thank, Brie!) and food was outstanding, better than many more expensive places. A tad noisy but there were several large parties there that night. Highly recommend!
We go here often and decided to break away from our old favorites (Portuguese fish stew and Sword fish). We tried the Short rib and the Scallops with a side of bacon Brussel Sprouts. This slight bravery was greatly rewarded! As always, we enjoyed Tempo’s fresh presentation of delicious food compliments by great service, but their versatility and rotating menu encourages further exploration next time.
Tempo consistently delivers. The food is always great and it really hits the sweet spot of perfect atmosphere. It's fancy food and you feel like you are somewhere luxurious but it does not feel stuffy or "too fancy" great atmosphere, and excellent food. Lots of seafood options and the whole menu can be gluten free. Highly recommend - it's at the top of my list when I am recommending a place to eat or planning a dinner get together
the food was great, service was so-so, a little noisy. made a reservation on open table and they sat us in the bar area. wasn't up to complaining about it. the actual bar is very close to tables in bar so if you are looking to have a special dinner what with the pub like atmosphere in the bar and people standing around at the bar backing up into the tables where people are "supposed to be having dinner". It also seems that it is a "hang-out" for the locals. I'll go back for the food though.....it's great!
Tempo was centrally located for our group of 3 couples. And, the reviews we read were quite good. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the portions more than adequate. The service was excellent without being at all obtrusive. We lingered quite a while after our meal and never felt any pressure to leave.
Well done, Tempo!
Great food, awesome server, but a little turned off when i was told that I'd be charged $2 a glass ( from bartender) for sampling a wine after being told by server it was ok to ensure you get what you want even though we felt bad that after trying six and not having found the right one. Server tried to make it right by paying for the last sample. Eventually bought a bottle that was appeasing to the palette. (It was our celebration of our engagement).
Great table, waiting for us as we arrived right on time. The appetizers literally seemed to come out of the kitchen 2 minutes after we ordered. The wings were very good the steak and cheese Spring rolls were a weak copy of Davios version. they might have been more appealing had they been cut on the diagonal rather than lengthwise. The filling does not add to the appeal and was tasty but mushy consistency. The pulled pork tacos were messy but good and the truffle fries were awesome. the reviews on beet salad and burrata salad were excellent as well.
two of us ordered Ahi Tuna but cant report on that because they were out of it...The Pork Chop was marvelous a great blend of flavors on the plate from the the mac and cheese, brussels, and craisins and the red onion jam It was truly a delightful plate. The cashew crusted Cod was also outstanding with mashed sweets and miso honey. a couple of people had the Chicken which also was good but not as special as the prior mentions. Didn't have room for dessert.
Overall a very solid meal and we will continue to go back
Delicious food, made from scratch. Our appetizer was a wonderful sampler of sautéed mushrooms - I could have had a couple orders of those + bread and called it a meal. Entrees were equally good. Our cheerful server solved my dilemma of scallops vs. chicken by assuring me I could have the scallops from one entrée with the sides from the other.
We had enough room to opt for dessert. Do not be fooled by the portion size. (I thought they were a bit small at first.) Each dessert was so decadently rich, we could barely finish - but it was too good to leave any behind!
My overall experience was amazing. I would suggest not sitting in the front near the large scenic window. There was a large party and the conversations echoed. The patrons where very intoxicated and yelling swear words at each other. A few guest asked if they could have their table moved further to the back near the kitchen.
